Comment: Everyone was very helpful and informative when I needed my rotors and pads for brakes done. I got in with very short notice, as John the owner said “the stars aligned just right”. I had no appointment but on a whim I called Zaharions. Work was done right and I was able to be shown how bad my rotors actually were after driving with squealy brakes for 3 weeks. Couldn’t find a shop that worked non banker hours. Price was fair and the atmosphere was friendly. Couches were provided to sit and get comfy. I do recommend getting cash from the nearest bank or atm for your repair bill since there’s a 3.5% card fee. Great place overall to get your car looked at. Will be back if and when I need to

Comment: Was traveling to Indiana from Michigan and my vehicle started leaking coolant and overheating. Googled nearest repair facility. Ending up at Zaharion’s Automotive. Was expecting to have to leave my vehicle and rent a car. To my surprise John the owner said he would get me going in a hour and 1/2. So I grabbed lunch at Subway and when I was done they my leak fixed. What I thought was a nightmare turned into a great experience. Highly recommend John and Zaharion Automotive! Really Appreciate it !!!!! Check them out !

Comment: After calling 5 places Zaharions was the only place to be kind and professional on the phone and in person. They made me feel like I was their only customer and went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. I bet we called and talked many times and I was a pain as my leasing agency was paying almost half and paid them separate after me. They put in a lot of leg work and research to give me a good quote. It’s nice to support a family owned business who are still professional and kind every time I blew their phone up. Most places these days would’ve had someone with some sass after I called them a bunch, lol not them. They’re great. I will definitely be going back for all my vehicles . It’s good to find a good reliable mechanic/shop. Satisfaction guaranteed 110%

Comment: My brother and I were traveling back to Wisconsin from our grandmas funeral when my clutch went out! From the side of the interstate, I called maybe 6 different shops who all said they were too busy to even look at my car before connecting with Zaharions. Renee was empathetic and said that their shop made allowances for emergencies and to come over. What a relief! It is reflected in a business when it is ran by proactive and involved owners. Both Renee and her husband John were incredibly compassionate. John worked to source the parts my car needed and get me the best deal possibly. Renee even helped us get over to a car rental company!! Everything was thoroughly and competently explained.I have a trusted mechanic at home in Wisconsin; if I were to be stranded anywhere, I really lucked out to be stuck where I did. Everyone involved was great, from the tow truck driver, the rental car woman, the mechanic at Zaharions who diagnosed my car, and of course John and Renee. They truly went above and beyond. They have a very comfortable, clean, and inviting shop. It is clear that they are competent business owners and great people. I know everyone is busy and stretched thin these days, it is truly refreshing to encounter compassionate people in todays world. They went out of their way to make time for me and I would highly recommend their service to anyone looking for honest, competent, and personable service! THANK YOU!!

Comment: Superb service from knowledgeable mechanics!Myself, husband, and our 2.5 year old were traveling when we stopped off an exit to grab a quick bite. Our car started overheating and my husband noted it seemed there was a leak happening. I got on Google quickly and started calling for same day service. We were 2 hours from home and over an hour to get to our destination still. After a few calls, I finally (and so thankfully) spoke with Kathy. She put me on hold for a while and I was getting nervous, but she came back and said come on in, we’ll at least look. Mind you, it’s 4:30pm on a Friday and they close at 6. As soon as we arrived, Kacey came out and took a quick look under our hood (also raining out) and told us that he’d get us back on the road so we could get to our destination. They were able to quickly get a part delivered for us, a coolant reservoir, and replace it. My son and I sat in the front seat while they worked on the car and everyone came by to say hi and chat with us while we waited. We got the feeling that they stayed there that evening for us, and we couldn’t have been more grateful. We have NEVER had such amazing mechanics that made us feel so confident in their expertise. They were dedicated to get us back on the road. I wish they were closer to us because we trusted them and that’s something that’s hard to find in an automotive shop, especially when you have an older vehicle.The Thorne family sends our thanks to the entire staff for taking care of us in a time of need. Comment: This place is by far the best Auto repair shop Ive ever been to. My transmission in my 2007 BMW 328I went bad, and I gave up hope because the lowest quote to put a new one in was 8000$ and thats more then my cars even worth! Long story short, Zaharions diagnosed my car, and gave me a quote of 1800$ Im truly thankful because I thought I was going to need a new car, but now I get to keep the car I love.Update 2023* I went there recently because I was convinced I had a blown head gasket, which is a 2600$ fix. They knew I was fully prepared to pay the 2600$. Luckily it wasnt the head gasket, and to my surprise my bill was less than 200$!!! Now thats INTEGRITY! That is why I go to them every time because I can ALWAYS count on them to do the right thing!

Comment: I came here because I was told that they do “good work”. That was an understatement. They have done exceptional work. They have also been respectful of me and my time. I’ve been pleased with the communication and honesty concerning my vehicle. I knew the cost of work and degree of urgency (whether I needed to fix it at that time or if it could wait). I purchased a 2010 Volvo S80 T6 from Chicago and had it shipped to Battle Creek. Now we all know that an online purchased used vehicle that you didn’t inspect or drive is going to have issues, even though I got it from a dealer! Zaharion’s addressed the following for me:- Anti-freeze leak: Had a faint smell in the cabin and saw droplets in my driveway. Replaced water hose.- Tie rod ends: Steering clunked when turned fully- Blower motor: Loud squeaking when operating AC/Heat- Drive belt tensioner: Slack/squeaking- O2 sensor: Check engine light on. Previous mechanic I’ve gone to couldn’t remove it.- Head light adjustment: Pointing too low in front of vehicle to see the road at night.- Vacuum line leak: Replaced cracked hoses.Needless to say, I was well satisfied with the service. Also, I have to mention that this is one of the cleanest shops that Ive seen. They clearly go the extra mile, both for their customers and their business. You would be hard-pressed to find somewhere better.

Comment: SUPER Helpful place, went around town and most mechanics said we had 0 luck and everything was booked up because we were in a emergency and needed to get to South Tennesee fast. They were the only ones who were actually able to tell us what was wrong and they fixed it at a very good cost and were very efficient and fast. They even put a priority on us because of the emergency and their waiting rooms are super comfy with a bunch of couches and a TV great heating super welcoming place everyone was super nice and helpful would and will definitely come again if I have more problems with my car best place in MI and possibly the entire area.

I unexpectedly need to take my car on a 1K mile drive and they squeezed me in last minute to check out everything which I greatly appreciate. It’s also always nice when a mechanic will walk you under the car to look at the problems yourself. I feel so much better knowing what to keep an eye on and can generally have peace of mind on my trip while planning for some replacements/repairs when I get home. Comment: I was from out of town when my car broke down on the interstate about 5 miles from their shop, and required towing. I called a couple places before I decided where to take it. I choose Zaharions because they were friendly, knowledgeable, upfront, and said they would do what they needed to to get me back on the road as quickly as possible. After it took 3hrs for the tow truck to get to me, they stayed late to do a once over and get an idea of what they would need to do to fix my vehicle, and they gave me an estimate of the work so I knew what to expect. They didnt feed me a bunch of BS or try and rake me for more hours, knowing that I was stranded in their town it would have been easy to do. The next day they gave me timely updates as to the status of my vehicle, and I waited in their very comfortable lounge for several hours (Im stranded remember and PS there is only one Lyft driver in Battle Creek). Overall, the shop was clean, the staff was friendly, the repair was quick, and the price was fair for the work and parts that were needed. Lastly, I didnt feel like I was a burden or being penalized(paying more) for needing a quick repair. Overall I highly recommend them.

Comment: I was referred to Zaharions from my mechanic because I was looking to buy a vehicle from a private seller that was located in Battle Creek and I live too far away. My initial phone call was with the owner, John Zaharion, who was professional and easy to talk to. I was looking for him to take a look at the vehicle and give his opinion on the work it would take to get it in good running order. I had no idea how much it would cost or how long it would take, not to mention if he could fit me in when he was already very busy. I called on a Friday and he said any afternoon the following week would work which was great for me. I took the vehicle to them and was greeted by friendly faces and John acted like we were old friends and took interest in what I needed. He offered for me to wait in their waiting room which was cozy and comfortable. After a short wait (like 15 minutes) he took me back to discuss the vehicle while it was up on the hoist and educated me on what the issues were and what cost would be involved. Before we even got to that point the thing I noticed first was how clean the shop was. This is a big shop and a lot going on but that garage was spotless. Maybe not everyone cares about stuff like that but it showed me that hes not afraid of people coming back there and that he has respect for his business, his employees and his customers. He gave me some great information and in the end wouldnt even take a dime for the time he had invested. Maybe this is common place in the industry but I was blown away. Its hard to find customer service these days and with everything going on in the world it was a pleasure to meet John and his team. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Comment: I was traveling across Michigan, headed to Detroit when I stopped at a rest stop to figure out the scraping sound I was hearing. Tried using bungie cords to hold the front engine splash shield onto the compromised bumper. That didnt work and I was by Battle Creek so pulled off again and mapped auto repair. Zaharions was right up the street. It was about then that I noticed my credit card was missing, so not only did I have car trouble, I was essentially broke. John, at the front desk, listened to my story and said, I can get you back on the road. It wont be pretty, but I can make it work. We also discussed kindness and being friendly in these difficult times. Not only did he do a hillbilly repair, he refused to charge me anything. I wish I lived nearby so he could complete the repair with the proper parts because Im sure the work would be as amazing as his help on my commute. Johns calmness, help, and general kindness meant everything.

John the owner, the man is truly has a gift. He is a true hero (at least in my eyes). I took my car in to have the front inner and outer tyrods replaced as well as an alignment. He found much more than I bargained for. He took great lengths to explain to me and show me exactly what was going on, what parts I needed. He is working with me on paying for the total cost. I might add that his charges are much much lower than other mechanic shops around! Did I mention honest? He doesnt talk down to women nor does he try to over charge women. From the moment I spoke with his wife Renee on the phone, to the moment I walked in the front door I felt comfortable. The shop is clean and you can tell that every single employee takes pride in their work and that is something not a lot of businesses can say or do. I would recommed this business to anyone and everyone! Thank You John, Renee, and all the staff for what you have done for me! I can not express to you enough (still in tears-good tears), it is all so over whelming.

We barely made it to Zaharions Auto and to my extreme surprise the go me right in and within 20 minutes they had our alternator off an had new parts on site within an hour. It took a bit longer to get the job done due to the difficulty of finding the right part, but the owner and staff at Zaharions did everything they could to get us back on the road.
