Comment: It is hard to find trustworthy car service providers. However, Walters Auto Service is very trustworthy. I have mainly got oil changes which are an hour or less and the prices are fair. I have also had to replace an outer tire rod which was also fixed at a fair price. In addition, they never tell me what else they can do. I have a request and they fill it. Theres no : oh well you also need this, this, this, and this fixed. Over the couple of years I have been here, only 1 issue they have told me I need to fix sooner or later due to safety issues. If thats not enough proof, Alex told me that my car might make some loud noises but it is not a big deal and does not need to be addressed for it is not a safety issue. Many places try to fix or replace many parts that still have have plenty of life. I will continue to go here as long as Im in the area. All of this was great as it was our only source of transportation. Comment: Our story was one of desperation, traveling from Colorado to MI. We had 260 miles to travel before reaching our destination when our brake fluid line ruptured leaving us without brakes. We parked our vehicle Sunday evening hoping to get service on Monday, not knowing they were booked solid for a week. The lot, and service garage was impeccable. You could tell from appearance that workers took pride in what they do. I met Alex at 7:30 that morning, of course they were booked out over a week.Alex worked us into their schedule did several diagnostics, fixed a leaking brake fluid line and drove it both without the towing trailer and with the trailer to make sure we arrived at our destination without issues. We can’t thank their staff enough for the time and attention given to my sister and me. We were stranded! No other Auto repair shop would help us. Comment: Phenomenal service! We were traveling from Indianapolis to Kalamazoo and had battery failure. We replaced the battery but needed an alternator repair. We called Walter’s and Alex was very quick to help us diagnose the issue and get us in for service. He even had the part waiting for us when we got there an hour later and had us out the door and on our way in less than 2 hours. They properly installed our battery and charged our old battery too. Facility was very clean and orderly, and we were very comfortable working there while we waited for our repair to be completed. Rates were very fair, too. Highly recommend! They were informative on what the error code was and scheduled a repair appointment in 2 days. Once in, they notified me of the problem and the estimated cost before continuing on to resolve the issue. The vehicle was repaired on that day of the appointment and I picked it up in the afternoon. It has been 1 month, and my vehicle runs perfectly.

One of their employees happened to be there and brought his equipment over to jump start her car.We took our vehicle there because it didn’t have heat in the car. We had been told we needed to replace the heater core and/or the engine had cracked head gaskets. After talking to David he was confident it was a simple issue before he ever saw the car. We took it in and he had it fixed the next day. He literally saved us thousands of dollars. He was very friendly and helpful. We will be taking our vehicles here from now on.

Dave is a great guy with fair pricing, timely repairs, great service, and truly goes above and beyond. I took my car in on Tuesday at 8:30 for a catalytic converter problem, and they found two other things wrong with the vehicle. Although three things needed to be repaired, the car was still ready to be picked up on Wednesday by 2. I am so grateful for Walters Auto Service.

Comment: I have been going to Walters Auto Service for 3 years now. Over that time they have provided the best service I have ever received on my vehicle. I had been having issues on my vehicle for a couple months and finding the issue proved to be difficult and Walters never gave up and never charged me for things I didn’t need. They are always thorough. They are honest and never do anything to the vehicle without permission. They let you know if there is something to keep an eye if something is starting to wear down. I trust Walters more than any other place. You can tell from the moment you walk in the door that they care and value their customers and want you to feel comfortable and at home.

After a minor hiccup, I cannot beging to express how happy I am with the service that I received both from Dave (the service manager) and Doug (owner). They both went above and beyond to make sure that the issue I had was completely resolved and that I was beyond satisfied with the service that I received. Comment: Had to give these guys a good review, Dave was awesome in working with me and being honest and fair, I have not dealt with many auto shops like this as they are definitely rare to find. They worked with me to find a problem that I have been looking for and scratching my head on for months and he was very informative and helpful every step of the way. He was sure not to charge me anything before running it by me first and was very fair in what he did charge. I definitely recommend this place for any problem you might have with your vehicle.

Comment: I love this place. Clean, tidy, professional. They are always helpful and answer any of my questions. They have worked around my work schedule, which can be difficult sometimes. They do their work quickly and always give me a full rundown of what was done and what they suggest. Reasonable prices. Had Tuffy do an estimate and then went here and got a much lower estimate. I would completely suggest this place.

Comment: Fantastic company. No BS auto service. David is great. Having to deal with car maintenance is generally a bad experience. Nobody wants to go to the mechanic. David changes that by having compassion for the customer. He works to find ways to get the job done correctly and cheaply. I have done business with them several times, and will continue to do so.

Comment: Im not from around here, and in a crisis mode on a Friday after 4 was trying to scramble for someone to take a look at my brake caliper which was falling off and grinding my tire rim. I pull into the lot 15 minutes before Walters is set to close for the weekend, and they took my van back right away to fix. Turns out it was only a bolt that had gone missing from my previous brake repairs gone wrong. I was back on the road again by the time 5 pm rolled around. They were very kind and understanding of my urgent situation as I was scheduled to return home the next day, which is a 250 mile drive from Kalamazoo. Thank you David and crew!

I was one of those who fixed his own car when I had my first job back in the days, so I want to understand the technical issues and practical car aspect. Comment: Ive taken both my cars to this shop since it opened. A couple of trips have resulted in surprises, none of which were the fault of the shop or its repairs. They are always willing to work out labor charges even though the escalated repairs were not their fault.A good example: We had the rotors and pads replaced on our Chrysler town and country (08). When we got the vehicle home, we noticed coolant was leaking. Sure enough, a hose housing was leaking. The part is unfortunately made of plastic and well known to fail. Its positioned behind the motor, nowhere near the pads and rotors. The shop replaced the part and worked with us on labor charges in very short order.Very customer oriented and very quick. Highly recommended.
