Comment: Tuffy was able to fit my car into their tight schedule on short notice over the busy weekend to resolve an issue with a leaking exhaust. Having worked on cars for over 30 years, I originally thought the issue was with a very expensive catalytic converter, however, they correctly and honestly diagnosed the issue as a problem with the much cheaper resonator. They fixed it right away. The manager took time to discuss the issue, the work performed, as well as some other unrelated concerns I had with the engine. He provided a number of tips for issues to look out for on my older engine. It is refreshing to know that there are mechanics of integrity still in operation, especially locally. The next time I need auto repairs, I will be making it a point to do business here again.

Comment: Unexpected car trouble while traveling on family vacation. Nursed the van in from rest stop off 75 in Clio to Tuffy Tire, which was one of the very few places open after noon on a Saturday. Seth was working the front (working at Clio location this date from the Saginaw location on Gratiot Rd). He was quick and accurate with the diagnosis and got the van in quickly. Melvin did excellent work to resolve the service needed to get the family back on the road and still able to make it to our destination on the same day! You guys saved the day! Excellent customer service. And special thank you to the other family that shared their snacks with the kids while the van was up on the lift in the garage. My vehicle was seen immediately and they had a diagnosis right away. He communicated what I needed to do to get back on the road safely. Took it to Tuffys and they fixed it right away. Owner was very nice and explained everything that was going on. Even found, got the part and fixed a lug nut that broke due to our local Pep Boys mess up (free of charge). Wasn’t happy that the repair cost more than expected, but was absolutely ecstatic that it only took less than an hour and I didn’t have to worry about taking an Uber or reorganizing our trip.

The guy I talked to did his best to keep it as cheap as possible, and he did just that. After that was replaced, he noticed that there was another small exhaust leak in the back that they hadnt noticed, but he showed us where it was. He felt bad and gave us an estimate to fix it and said to bring it back if we wanted. He would be charging $0 in labor and would only be paying for the part.This shop puts customers above profits, and I would highly recommend going here.

Comment: I give a big shout out to Paul. He was so honest both times I took my car in for the same problem. Another shop did the work and Paul said I could charge you, but you need to take it back. So, I did they had to put a hose on that they should have done the first time. Here it is about 3 wks. later and I had to take it in again. So, I took it to Paul and again it was the other shops faulty work. Again, Paul could have screwed me but chose to be honest. You have a lifelong customer, Thank you so much for the integrity. 👏👏

Comment: Was on 75s when my car started overheating at 0730 on my way down to work in Detroit. Showed up at 8 and Paul and John really took care of my car. Figured out that it was a thermostat and got the part quickly. Also found a sensor that was unplugged and also the culprit of my check engine light that I have had checked at several places with no success. Only took a few hours to complete the job and clear the codes and I was on my way, car running than it has before. Really appreciate these guys getting me in quickly and being so professional. The price was also extremely reasonable and what you would expect to pay, not the rate that I am used to, living in the Detroit area. My car likely won’t break down I’m Clio again, but if it does, I know who I am taking it to.

On both occasions the mechanics I spoke to were polite, answered my questions patiently when I did not understand and they were not condescending. As a 36 year old woman, I find this to be a refreshing change from most places. I highly recommend this place if you want to take your car somewhere fairly priced, where it will be fixed properly and in a timely manner. My wife and I were in town trying to purchase a used car and we asked Paul if he could do a pre-inspection prior to us purchasing the car. It was short notice, but Paul said he was happy to fit us in.We took the car for a ride and drove right to Clio Tuffy. From the moment we arrived we felt so comfortable and knew right away we had picked the right repair shop. Within 30 minutes Paul and John had done a thorough assessment of this car. While we like the car and hope to purchase it, there were several problems they found, as well as many things that were in very good shape. In the end we had some great information that we have been able to use to reach a fair price for the vehicle.While we were there, a new customer had just left the shop and went and purchased a pizza for Paul and the guys. He had only met them that day but was so pleased he felt compelled to buy the guys a pizza.I wished I lived closer to Clio because I wouldn’t hesitate to trust Paul and his team with my cars.Thank you for such a great experience. Comment: You know what I needed some front-end work done and I go down to Muffler Man which is right around the corner from Tuffy and the guy gives me a quote on a price and tells me that its going to be about 3 hours before we could get me in if that day at all that I might have to bring it in the next day and drop it off ,so Im like okay, I will Ill think about it and Ill let you know. so I drive down to Tuffy he gives me a price thats $10 more and pulls it right in the garage and starts working on it I dont know why more people are not coming here the price is the same the people are great the mechanic works good on the car I think you guys need to bring these guys more business in and out they are a little high on oil changes though but theyre also not an oil change place

Comment: My 2003 chevy truck was steering hard to the left again. I took it back to Tuffy and they new exactly what the problem was. It was the steering box that I had replaced in 2008. To my surprise the steering gear box was warranty for life of the truck. I had it replaced but I had to pay for the labor. That was not a problem. The truck was repaired the same day and ready to drive. I would recommend this Tuffy to anyone. They are honest and they explain what the did to repair your vehicle. I have had my truck there different time for repairs and I am satisfied with their work.
