Comment: Today I went to Tuffy auto for an oil change. They took care of my vehicle quickly and at the time I was supposed to be there. I also asked them to check out my spare tire to see if it could be lowered from the bottom of the truck in case I need it, because it has not ever been used in the life of the vehicle they address my issue Lubricated the cable, and also fixed a problem with the tool that gets inserted into the rear bumper to lower the Spare tire. The business owner and the manager of the store value every customer and take care of every customer like family. If you’re looking for a trustworthy business for your automotive needs this is definitely the place they never try to upsell. They tell you the problems and the degree of the problem so you can make a decision based on Your finances at the time no pressure ever, Do yourself a favor and check out this outstanding establishment and you will see for yourself.

My husband previously had his car in there for repairs and was thrilled with the service, so we took mine. I am so thankful we did. Andy was fantastic!!! What a nice gentleman. Though they were extremely busy at the time, he said he would look at it first thing the next morning. Well, that he did. By 8 am the next morning my car was all set. It no longer makes that funny noise it was so nice to have a positive car experience. Highly recommend Andy and Tuffy in general. Great service, reasonable prices. Ill be back for sure. Comment: After having brakes serviced at a competing shop, I brought my car to Tuffy Clinton Twp to check repairs that I had completed earlier at Tuffy, and which were flagged as possibly needing repair again, and I asked for quote for other repairs. Tuffy found that their repair was fine, and had been mistakenly swapped for the opposite side. They also made correct diagnosis on other repairs that were mistakenly flagged by the other shop. My ancient ride feels near brand new now. Happy with how everything turned out.Additional note: I brought car back to Tuffy to cure blown rear shocks, bad sway bar links, and front left spindle. They had the work done the following day. They pointed out further work that needs done, and I will return in a couple months to address that. These guys are good.More: Got car back yesterday evening after dropping it off two days ago to get last few big repairs done. Extremely pleased with how nice the ride feels now that all its problems are cured. Tuffy is my go-to shop now.

She is a whole new jeep (besides the physical damage). They have awesome customer service. Makes you feel like you’re at home! Comment: I live in norther Michigan and had to drive 5 hrs downstate for my mother, who is passing in hospice. I noticed my brakes didnt feel right on my way down. I looked up Tuffys reviews and was impressed. I called and spoke to Andy and told him the situation with my long drive back and also why I was downstate. My truck was fully inspected, and I was told I needed front and back brakes and new rotors. Andy was wonderful and very professional. I thought the price was very fair and reasonable. I highly recommend and would use them again if need be.

All the people that work there are always friendly and knowledgeable. I dont take my car anywhere else. My only issue is that when you make an appointment your car is not being worked on at that time I was told that they had tows that came in and they were swamped.i had to wait 2 hours for brakes to be done. I wouldnt mind if I lived closer but I dont. If you cant work on a car when you make an appointment why schedule an appointment for your customers.

They fixed everything and now my car is running like new. They always take good care of me. Honest and fair that what you are looking for in this car repair business. I am female and they dont try to run stuff by me that I car nt understand. Im treated equally. Everyone if you are looking for good service go to tuffy on 15th mile and grosebeck. They also have rental car service with enterprise with a big tuffy rate when your car is down and you cant afford to be without one. Dealership service at a lower price.. Comment: I am very happy with the service I received at Tuffy. I chose this place because it is within walking distance to my home. My first visit with them was in July for an exhaust system fix. While they had my car they noticed that my transmission coolant system needed work so I had that done also. I had to make an appt since they were waiting for the part. It came in and there were no other issues. They had my car finished when they said it would be done and it ran like a new car.My second visit was for a loud noise my car was making. I was extremely worried it was going to be a transmission problem but turned out it was only a wheel bearing. They fixed it up and had it done as promised at the end of business that same day. My car again ran like new! Im so happy since Ill be driving to Florida for my vacation in just a couple days!Of course I had to walk to pick up my car and after I got there I noticed I had forgotten the $25 coupon they had sent me in the mail. They still honored the coupon even though I didnt have it with me. They didnt make me walk back home to get it. $25 is $25 and since I was going on vacation in a few days it was greatly appreciated.I will definitely be back if/when my car needs work again. Very happy with the service here! I will tell my friends and family about this place. Very courteous and honest!

Comment: An electrical problem was detected in the steering column unit on my pristine 2002 Thunderbird. As this vehicle is years out of production and new parts are no longer available, the staff had to locate a donor part from a salvage vehicle. The first unit they received was determined to be of poor quality and was not used. So the quest continued until a suitable unit was found.So far nothing special occurred. But, while my vehicle was awaiting the replacement part, the staff ensured that the vehicle was housed within the repair building in a stall where it did not suffer any harsh weather. Comment: My cars brake lines completely went out while I was doing 70 on the freeway. Talk about a life threatening experience. Car was down for almost a month. I finally was able to tow it to a near by shop which was Tuffy. The phenomenal staff were able to repair my car SAME DAY AND fix my muffler issue. They were patient and extremely kind. I recommend everyone in need of repairs to visit this place. I cannot thank this place enough for being so understanding!!! ❤️

Comment: After returning from my dads 70 Th party south , I had much trouble with my truck. Almost 800$ of work , they got me in asp. Referred me to rental companies..I normally rent from enterprise but this time used hertz . They to was fast & the cheapest for me for two days .My truck drives brand new again .,Tuffy has always been good toMe, especially as a single women. When , I had my house another one was great & even had his daughter up in the store on 8 mile past Telegraph.My second Tuffy was Utica..This is my third Tuffy near me & they was phenomenal.I normally can find some sort of coupon, I couldn’t so he did which removes 50$.What they didn’t know , I just fixed bi lateral rotar cuffs this year& a broken clavicle .I only been back to work like 3 weeks for GM.And it was such a wrong time , even seeing my dad was hard on my budget . But , we made it a quick weekend trip .So . I really needed that little bit Of help -50$. Thanks TuffyFor being a great dad per say for us women .All my family moved south used to be you could carry your vehicle to your dad / brother .Your who , I come to thank you .My truck needed new barring, brakes & pads.. & cleaning / lube calibers FYI .

Couple all this with their ability to tell you approximately when they will be finished, and you have a very, very good, reliable, affordable place to take your car.The Service Reps, Tom & Nick, are unparalleled in their work ethic, and will advise you on what needs to be done right away to ensure your safety. We go here for everything from tires and oil changes to major mechanical work.The tired trope of unscrupulous mechanics simply does not apply here.We wont take our vehicles anywhere else.

Comment: Had the team put on a Borla exhaust system and muffler delete on my 2013 SRT Charger. Not only does it sound great but the staff is awesome. Tom is great dude and the techs were all super happy to install the parts. One of the tech I heard yell “BORLA” from the back as they were unboxing the system. Great people and prices!

Comment: (Erica L) Staff did a wonderful job on my 01 Volvo S40s timing belt. Unfortunately, there are other issues contributing to the overall performance of my car. But the job they did on my belt defiantly helped improve the performance of my car. I will be back soon to find out what is wrong with my headlight. The technicians were very helpful throughout the process, and worked very hard to keep things moving forward with our warranty company. Comment: They do good work but a bit pricey. For new ball joints, control arms and an alignment is over 700 dollars. Found another shop to do the same work for a little less then 500. Thats a decent chunk of change there.

The guys at Tuffy gave us a great deal! The have called me, as well, and told me when a problem occurs and if it is something I could fix myself AND they didnt charge me for the diagnosis.
