Comment: Hey just wanted to give a shout out to a fella by the name of Bob at this location on Laskey Road in Toledo. I called about seeing if I could have a minor problem fixed under the rear wheel well of my car. I just got off work and was only 10 minutes away. He got me in, took a look at it and fixed it within another 10-15 minutes before they closed. And because it only took a few screws to fix I wasn’t charged. That’s some serious customer service!Here’s what I’d like to add, I’m a woman and I loathe trying to go placing to have car work done. I’ve been taken advantage of and was told things that weren’t accurate and more costly. THAT! Is the epitome of things I strongly dislike.I’ve also been quoted a price for other things that I will more and likely return here for repair seeing the prices was much better and $110 dollars less!Thank you Bob for you and your team members assistance in such a great time of need!In kind regards,R.E.W.

Comment: Left work this afternoon with a flat tire, and called around a few spots none of which said they could take me until later next week. Single mom with one car and a low tire wasn’t the best situation to be in today when we have after school events and work events so I was a little panicky. Called over here at Tuffy on Laskey and the gentleman said bring her on in and we will look at it. Sure enough a piece of metal was stuck in my drivers side tire. I was in and out with a patch in a half an hour at 5:30 on a Thursday night. Life savers in my opinion, because I’m not sure what we would do without it being fixed this weekend. . Could not recommend them enough, super friendly staff as well and great prices .

Comment: I have only needed to use these guys twice. Once for an exhaust leak and today (on a Sunday) to replace a headlamp in the 1° winter weather. Both times they were friendly, precise and affordable. I stopped in today to see if they could do the bulb and they were busy but could do it if I returned in 2 hours. When I returned they got me right in and a few minutes later they were done. It was important to me to have it done as I work at 6am and didnt want to deal with the light being out in these winter conditions.

Comment: My tire was leaking air slowly so I took it to Tuffy and they were able to fix it. My husband wasn’t able to get the tire off because one lugnut wouldn’t budge. They replaced my lugnut with one they had there for free and it was very cheap for the repair. John and Charlie were both very pleasant and informative. Definitely will go back from now on ☺️

Bob, Charlie and Chris are very knowledgeable mechanics and I have always trusted their diagnosis and opinions of what needs to be done now and what can wait (with safety always being their utmost concern). Ive had my fathers car worked on here and now my son has his work done here. You are not in business as long as they have been by not doing right by the customer.

Comment: Taking my daughters to school this morning my muffler fell off of the bottom of my car and was dragging on the ground and making the most awful sound! I called my brother because I had no idea where to go. He told me to bring it here as he and my parents have always had great work done here. So I went over and they got my car right in, got the muffler right back on, charged me a very decent price, were very friendly, and got me right out!! All the other shops I called before Tuffy were at a minimum of 1-2 days before they could even look at it. Very grateful for them to get it diagnosed and fixed in that time frame. I send all referrals requests from single moms and young adults who feel they have been taken advantage of in the past. When I remarried my husband had a long standing mechanic. He needed A major repair and he decided to get a second quote with Bob. Needless to say my entire family is with Bob now. Bob oversees this location and mechanics but I must also say that all of the people working at this tuffy location are trustworthy and the way to go!

Comment: This place is 6 stars all the way around! A few months ago my car wouldnt start and I had it towed from an hour up into Michigan to this Tuffys location. They got my car right in, told me it was the starter, and they were able to replace the starter at a reasonable price in less than 90 minutes! Fast forward to yesterdsy our SUV had a terrible rattling noise when the car was in drive..took it to Tuffys, they diagnosed the issue and had the broken motor mount fixed in less than 90 minutes! The car feels brand new again! Best repair shop around by far. They are reliable, fast and good at what they do! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Comment: NEW REVIEW: September 20 2023My 2007 GMC Yukon XL 2500 4x4 developed a leak in the radiator system so I dropped it off with a note to also do a LOF (Lube, Oil, Filter)Charlie contacted me and I was given news no truck owner wants, parts were discontinued but he would look for after market parts if OK with me. (Thats a GREAT MECHANIC)He called back with the estimate to replace the radiator and cooling lines and I would have it back today. After getting into the job he found he was able to reuse the original lines but radiator needed replace so he saved me money off the estimate and was kind enough to give me the part numbers of after market lines for future problems if I elected to buy them. (I ordered them today)John called me and I went and got truck,My bill including LOF was much cheaper thanks to Charlie and the Guys and Gals at Tuffy.***AS you can see I have 4 cars and TUFFY will be the ONLY ones to work on them......THANKS ALL!EDIT AUGUST 7 2023:The 2010 Buick LaCrosse we acquired last month stopped blowing cold air Saturday August 5 so we called and took it in on Sunday,,,YES SUNDAY!Was told they could look at and repair it Monday and we were quoted a price much lower than Google reviews showed. Bob called early in the afternoon on the 7th and said car was done. The a/c compressor was bad and needed replaced, just as we were told, NO GAMES!Every time Tuffy quotes us something they are right on and in todays world, that is a unheard of.For over 40 years I have used various auto repair shops around Miracle Mile with Norton Grimes being the longest until now.After Roy at Norton Grimes retired and closed his doors, I asked him where to go for good service. THANK GOD I LISTENED!I drive various vehicles but mostly trucks and was in need of one bad in the Summer of 2022.I purchased a vehicle that was not as the seller described and it wouldnt go over 40 mph. I called Tuffy while it was broke down traveling from Michigan and talked with Bob. He told me to get it there when I was able and within 2 hours of me dropping it off he found the biggest problem and had it repaired before they closed that day. Before any work was done, Bob contacted me and always do. Bob and his crew have all of my business and I recommend them to anyone I talk with.Having been in the business of serving the public, attitude, appearance and efficiency are what makes a business and Tuffy has all of the above plus.(Including a nice waiting area)Today was another day that Tuffy got me taken care of at a more than reasonable price when my blower motor for the heater quit working on ,my GMC truck. I stopped and within a hour I was back on the road.Whether its my wifes car or my truck, we try to make appointments but it is great knowing that in a desperate situation, there is a company on Laskey Rd that cares about their customers and their wallet.If you have any questions about their service, relax because after using Tuffy, I no longer have to worry.Thank you again Bob and his crew!

Comment: I had Tuffy recommended to me by family cause I needed a place that could get me in quickly and did good work. I am so glad I went to them. I told them we had trouble with my husbands car having a warning come up about engine hot and the AC had shut down. On way home, the warning came off but we didnt want to take any chances. They told me how much it would cost for a diagnostic test, and it was reasonable to the other places I had already checked. When checking it, they found there was no oil on the dipstick, so they added oil with no charge. The test showed no problems, and they believed the low oil was the culprit. He drives an hour one way and the engine wasnt getting lubricated. When I asked what I owed, they said no charge for today. I was in shock, and so very grateful. I will definitely be back. Thanks so much to John and the mechanics!

The employees there each time were straight forward and honest and Ieft with what was free advice about my vehicle. So when my what I thought was the brake line went out (it ended up being a separate line plus I needed new pads and rotors), I took my truck right to them. Of course, I experienced phenomenal customer service. Comment: I live in Iowa and just the week before thanksgiving was visiting my buddy in Toledo. As a part of my visits with this friend, we love fixing simple car problems. This time we replaced the front left CV joint axle on my BMW 535i XDrive. However, after replacing it, I was hearing a pop every time I accelerated and was concerned to drive back 600 miles with this issue. I looked up the local Tuffys store and had just one day to get this remediated. I spoke to Bob and he asked me to bring the car in right away. He had a tech test drive it and then test drove it himself, in about 20 minutes he parked the car in front of the store and told me I was all set. With the worry I had for the last 18 hours on the pop sound I did not understand what it was to be all set so I asked him again. Bob said that my car was OK now and that the pop sound is gone. He also told me to remember to tighten the axle nut tightly with a breaker bar next time I replace it. I recalled that my buddy and I only tightened it with an impact wrench, and obviously it was not enough and not fully tightened somehow. I was shocked that he was able to pinpoint the problem so quickly and fix it. I then asked him how much I owed him, and he said I did not owe him anything. I was speechless for about 2 minutes and had no words. Here I was willing to pay to get the whole axle fully replaced all over again and Tuffys could make a whole bunch of money for doing that. But here was this Mr. Bob, who believes in Honesty and Customer satisfaction as opposed to other stores where I have seen the techs only waiting to gouge the customer. My Car is a luxury sedan and Bob and team could have easily made a whole bunch of money leading me to believe that I needed the axle work redone. But he instead showed humanity and compassion instead. I would highly recommend Bob and his team at this location for the Annual Tuffys Best Customer Service Award, and would highly recommend this location for your Auto repairs. This is a location you can trust and know that the Tech team will be honest with you. Thank you Bob. You are a true gentleman! God Bless!

Comment: Went first to the garage local to my house. They tried upselling me for parts I didnt need $1600. Got a 2nd opinion at Tuffy. Guys are great. Actually looked at the problem and prescribed the correct repair. Had me on my way really fast. They definitely over deliver. Cost less then 20% of local garage estimate. I highly recommend.

He Bob, fixed my car and they gave me $100 discount off of putting a gas line on my car they have fixed my air conditioning they have done my oil changes they have been with me I’ve been going there for 10 years they are so honest love their customers and treat you like really good I would recommend this over any other auto place to get your car fixed . Comment: Im almost offended at how anyone could give this location a bad review. Im a female with decent auto knowledge, and never have they taken advantage or tried to upsell with me. Bob even came to my home and jumped my car so I could get it there and not have it towed. They have also done multiple small things for me free of charge. You might wait if there are others ahead of you for an oil change, pretty standard. The only mechanics I trust in Toledo other than my Father. Would give more stars if I could.

Comment: So after being denied at Midas because they were booked, I called Tuffy and told them I thought i needed brakes for my handicap accessible Van. Bob told me to bring in the Van right away. And within 2 hours all my work was completed. If you are looking to be treated fairly, dont bother going anywhere else but here!! These guys will take good care of you.. they did me with very little notice and got me done without breaking the bank!
