Comment: I’ve been here a couple times before, and their customer service & prices always have me coming back! i got a new car and went in for an oil change. the price was super good considering i need full synthetic. everyone who works here are always so nice and very helpful. i’m always a bit nervous coming to an auto shop considering i don’t know a lot about cars and there’s always a possibility of being overcharged, but ive never had that problem here. i will continue going here if i need anything for my car. i can’t recommend enough!

Comment: Yesterday I noticed a grinding sound in my left side as I braked and thought it was nothing. Decided to go to comicon and kept hearing the noise, I decided to call around To get quotes on the potential for brake repair. I ended up going with these guys because they had the lowest quotes, turns out I ended up having to have a little bit more work done, but they were super willing to help me out. I’m not from MI Originally and not familiar with the area I just happened to call these guys and the level of customer service was so top notch I’ll always come back here. Mike, Josh, and the rest of the staff were very friendly and transparent about their products and pricing. They found an issue with one of my valve stems and immediately contacted me to let me know about it and their plan to fix it before they went ahead. I recommend coming into their office to ask about tire inventory, as their call center doesnt always have accurate quantities available.

My battery died due to the alternator during rush hour traffic on Wedneday morning on my way to work....I was stressed, annoyed and not ready to start my day doing this.I was able to set up an appointment and get a new alternator put into my vehicle in less than 3 hours tops.They even went to the store to pick up the alternator so it would take less time waiting for a delivery.Both of these gentleman (both named Josh) were understanding, helpful, empathetic and truly turned a very bad day for me right around, all while saving me a few dollars.Thank you guys for your time today and I will ABSOLUTELY be bringing my vehicle back for any future services I may need and of course recommending this location to everyone I know. Comment: Hello,Im a little late writing this review.I had my 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan serviced here in late April of 2019. Front brake and Rotor job to be specific. Job was performed perfectly and finished pretty fast. The total cost was fair I would say at $380. Also came with 24 months of free Roadside Assistance and a warranty. In July I came back and had the back brakes and rotors done along with an oil change and Air Conditioning Rear cap and recharge job. Total $809 (which I felt was fair). AC blows cold so me and my kids did not have to sweat over the summer. The Dodge dealership quoted around $2000 to fix the AC.I brought my wives 2011 Lincoln MKX in for her front brakes and rotors to be repaired. Along with an oil change and a tire that needed plugging. All work was done well as with the Dodge. Cost was $633.The guys here were very professional and respectful. I would recommend this Tuffy location (Farmington Hills / Halsted Road) to anyone that needs work done.

Comment: Took my car to the dealership to get the exhaust system fixed. They told me there was a hole in it and to replace was going to be more than $1100. I called my husband to ask him what he thought and he said no and would call me back. He called back and said Tuffy on Halsted said they could do the repair cheaper so I should take it there. When I arrived, I was greeted pleasantly by Jeremy whom I told my husband had called. He said if indeed the entire system had to be replaced, it would be around $700, but, he thought it might be cheaper if the problem was what he thought. Well, it was and I only had to pay $390! They pulled my car right in and the work took a little over an hour to complete. They also checked the fluids and added a couple of quarts of oil at no extra charg. To say I am completely satisfied is an understatement! They were fast, friendly and very helpful and they saved me a lot of hard earned money. Josh, the owner, as well as one of the technicians both tried to jump the car for me free of charge just because theyre nice guys. I noticed this area is a very diverse area based solely on the wide variety of individuals who came through the door. With each new (or returning) face, Josh grew friendlier and more understanding.He would tell each customer what they could do to fix their current issue, and would tell them any additional issues that may creep up within the next few months that should be addressed. While most auto-body shops Ive been to would tell someone (or me) they need to fix these things right then and there (I assume to make money), Josh would provide his customers with an actual timeline on when these additional repairs needed to be made. He even would offer his own vehicles or to purchase an Uber for is local clients that they would need to take their car overnight.Ive never been to a business ran like this, and I say that in the best possible way imaginable. Comment: Moved to the area not too long ago and Ive been here a few times to get work done on my car. Service is very fast (Ive always gotten my car back by the end of the day if I dropped it off early, other shops would usually take a few days at least) and they seem to fix what only needs to be fixed. Theyll work with you and let you know whats going on with your car so you can get back on the road asap. Prices have always been very fair too

Comment: My experience at Tuffy Farmington Hills was amazing! The owner, Josh is awesome and makes the auto shop experience more relaxed and comfortable. Nick was the employee I met who worked on my car, not only did he give me different options and prices, but he gave me safety glasses and walked me under my car to show me exactly what he meant. Most auto shops often leave me feeling a little unsure on whether the prices and work are really true and needed, but not here. There is nothing worse than going to a shop where the staff are rude, unfriendly, and dont tell you whats going on with your vehicle. Ive never had an experience like this before and will definitely be making this my new go-to place!

Comment: I chose this place since it is close to home but if I moved away I would take a special trip just to come back here. Everyone is super friendly, down to earth, and they always give it to you straight about whats wrong with your car. The owner Josh will always put a smile on your face even though you might be stressed about your vehicle. I would highly recommend this place to anyone needing work done!

Comment: The staff was very professional and helpful. I was immediately serviced when I arrived to the shop and was given a free inspection. I was offered coffee and free wifi while I waited and even though I had my iPad with me, this shop has a tablet for customers to use while they wait. I love that the waiting area was cozy, warm and clean. The staff prioritized my needs and gave me very reasonable prices to help me stay in line with my budget. The owner Josh was incredibly personal and welcoming. Hell even sing for you if you ask him to after a couple cups of coffee. I will definitely be returning to THIS SHOP for all of my future car repair and maintenance needs.

Comment: These guys are the best! I would absolutely send anyone I know here. They do solid work and they arent trying to pull the wool over your eyes. They fix whats needed and make sure youre safe driving off the lot. I have an older car, so I am a regular, but they keep the old wagon running so I cant complain. They gave me a free tire rotation and were very informative/answered all my questions about my car! The service was super quick and I was in and out within 20 minutes! Comment: New customer for life! Shop has a great service department. Very friendly staff, they were willing to work on prioritizing what actually needed to be fixed first. The mechanics answered all the questions I had and showed me respect when I didnt understand right away. They showed me everything that was necessary to get my car in safe driving condition and took me in the bay to show me before any decisions were made. I shopped around, as Im new to the area, their great pricing brought me in, but the staff won me over.

Comment: I walked into this store mid-morning when all the bays were full. Josh, the new owner, and his assistant manager Mike were behind the front counter and took very good care of me. I told them what I was experiencing with my car, and Chris, one of the ASE Master Certified mechanics there, brought it in for an inspection really quickly. Chris and Mike told me exactly what was wrong with my car (Tuffy does free inspections) and gave me a price which included coupons about which I didnt even know. Once I okayed the work, parts were there in less than twenty minutes and a few hours later I was safely back on the road. Thanks so much to Josh and his team for taking such good care of me. I even received a customer appreciation card with a bunch of free oil changes and other discounts as a thank you for my business. Tuffy, Im the one that should be thanking you! I would definitely recommend THIS SHOP to anyone looking for an honest and trustworthy repair shop for his or her cars!

Comment: Saturday mornings these guys are pretty busy but Michael the new assistant manager got me right in for an oil change even though I forgot to schedule an appointment. While they changed my oil they did a courtesy inspection and let me know that one of my wheel bearings was incredibly loose. When they walked me back into the shop I was shocked to see how my wheel was moving in ways it wasnt supposed to. Even though my car is a lease and I have a warranty from the dealer- it was great to find this out so I could go get it taken care of. These guys are thorough and honest as can be. Comment: I am impressed by their honesty. Any other mechanic would have said, I cannot let you drive safely without renewing your tires. I was able to make it to Tennessee and back just fine, even though I only got an oil change. I will consider these guys when I do need new tires in the near future :-)

Comment: I took my explorer in for an alignment that I was pretty sure I needed. The Tuffy mechanics ran the machine and found I did not need an alignment and charged me NOTHING! They could have easily just told me they did the alignment and I would have been none the wiser. Honest businesses are hard to find these days. Thanks!

Comment: The staff was very friendly and helpful. I pulled in with a loud noise coming from under my hood which they worked with me to diagnose at no charge. After figuring out the problem they scheduled an appointment for me the very next day.As for the work itself it was done quickly and well. The mechanic even talked to me about the parts he pulled and suggested some things to keep an eye on that did not need immediate attention.I will be coming back here for my future repairs.

Comment: I came in because I had some unexpected time to get an oil change, using a coupon Id gotten in the mail. They also rotated my tires, but in the process found that I had a severely damaged axle that needed replacing. They even took me back to show me, and I appreciated being treated with that kind of respect. Since this would take some time, and I lived close by, they even offered to drive me home and pick me up when it was done. The customer service was excellent. Yesterday, I found a bad leak under the car that turned out to be oil. I brought it in, suspecting it had to do with the repairs/oil change, and Im glad I did. They identified it as a faulty seal and replaced it without hesitation. Again, they offered to show me the leak so I could see what happened, and I appreciated the attention and respect. Ill come back for basic work to be done in the future.
