Comment: I own the blue 95 roadmaster I brought my car here bc it wouldn’t crank it would turn over but no crank, tom took a guess over the phone he hooks it up and he was right it was the distributor not giving spark, had me in and out basically 1 day job, I took it to auto lab before and Scott said he couldn’t find the issue because lack of tools but in reality didn’t wanna fix a inexpensive part shouts out to tom🙏

Comment: I went to Discount Tire today to have my tires rotated & have the air pressure checked. Two of the lugnuts stripped & the studs had to be replaced. This happened on the same tire and I would not have been able to drive on it without getting it fixed. Someone at Discount Tire called here and they said to send me over. I got there and they brought my car back right away and had it ready for me in less than an hour. The man who waited on me (I didnt get his name) was very friendly and took down my phone number to call when my car was ready, as I walked down the road to get something to eat while I waited. When I came back to the shop to pick my car up he informed me that there were two studs that had to be repaired/replaced and told me that it was on the house, which was incredibly nice and made this frustrating day feel much better. I will definitely be returning to this shop to have my car serviced when things arise and recommending them to my friends and family!

She knew absolutely nothing about the problem let alone the repair cost, that was quite obvious. Toms Auto Care was fair and accurate with what they sugested.They have always been true to me even suggesting not to repair when the cost outweighed the benefits.

Comment: Brought in my 2011 Ford Focus for front breaks and a new wheel bearing. Worked with Bruce, Steve and Kevin. All 3 have fantastic attitude and work with you to make sure you are comfortable about what service is being performed and why.Bruce worked with me on the price and just being in the office this morning he always offers to help if possible. Making sure I was 100% comfortable before moving forward.I was not pressured by either of the techs, Steve or Kevin, into additional services. They told me what could wait and what needs to be worked on immediately. Had terrible experiences with this in the past, so this was a breath of fresh air for me. Both techs were extremely knowledgeable and I was happy to get two sets of eyes on any work that needed to be done for certain.I live in Ann Arbor, but let me tell you, this was well worth the drive. I will always be taking my car to Toms if I need any work done. Very honest, upfront about any repairs, prices are very very reasonable, and just a great attitude/passion for the job.Thank you guys for all the help! First time here, but you just made yourself a lifetime customer.

Comment: I am BEYOND impressed with Toms-an honest mechanic shop tends to be hard to find. When my Jeeps oil and transmission pans rusted out and the dealerships would not be able to get me scheduled until mid to late October, I was able to get penciled in for two days after I made an appointment at Toms. I was advised it would be a rather large job but it was completed in less than two days. They also found some other areas of concern and I was immediately advised and gave permission to proceed with any repairs that needed to be done. I was sent photos and thoroughly explained to what the issues were. I was given updates frequently as well. Any additional parts needed were delivered immediately. I cannot say enough about my great experience at this mechanic shop. I would recommend them to anyone and I will be taking my car to be serviced there in the future. The honesty, the prices, the staff...you really cant get any better.

Comment: Just had my car repaired here. I believe the part in question was a timing valve. (I forget the technical term.) Anyway, the dealer wanted over $1,000 for this repair. Toms did it for less than $200. Aside from saving me a ton of money, I felt like they gave me peace of mind. When Ive gone to other repair shops, I felt like they were out to screw me over. Toms never made me feel like they were trying to sell me repairs I didnt need. I would recommend them to anyone with car issues. I will be bringing any future car repairs to Toms from now on.

Comment: We have had cars here probably 50 times in the last ten years. (Lots of kids means lots of old beat up cars). They are mostly very good, honest and sometimes willing to work around expensive problems and perform temporary repairs when a vehicle is not worth repairing fully, which many mechanics will not do. However it depends on who their mechanics are at the time. Sometimes they just kept throwing parts at a problem rather than diagnosing it. We stopped using them for a while, and then discovered no other mechanics were really any better. We tried close to ten other shops. When they do diagnose rather than throwing parts at it, they are often quite good at it (depends on which mechanic you get). However they are generally poor at listening to their customers. They need to learn that sometimes we actually do know what we are talking about. Bottom line is despite some expensive issues with them, we still use them. They are as good or maybe a bit better than most other shops around.

Comment: I took my 2006 Dodge Viper there for an alignment. Better job than the dealer or the major chain stores could do. Friendly polite hands on service. Good people that mean well. Fixing cars is a tough business, some of these reviews are to critical. Cars consistently break down and multiple symptoms means diagnosing and fixing one issue is independent from another. They are fair and reasonable and will not let you down. Give them a try and you will be glad you did. Thanks guys!

Comment: I have been here two times, both times for an alignment. First time they pointed out that I had worn parts that needed to be replaced. The second time I came in after installing all the new parts (which I had done in the dusk) they told me a castle nut was backwards and two castle nuts were missing the cotter pins. They then told me they fixed these little things to avoid any issues. They did a great job and got the steering wheel straight for the first time in three years and were honest and didnt try to push any extra work on me for extra profit. I would highly recommend them to family and friends for good quality at a better price.

They do honest work and are reasonably if not discount priced.
