Comment: Best Mechanic shop we ever dealt with.. we visited the US from Canada and got stranded in port Huron with car trouble , Todd’s was referred to us and when we called he answered an hour before his shop was to open and when he heard the situation he took it upon himself to make sure we get looked after and get on our way . Car was done within 2 hours and charged us way less than what we had in mind . Wish this shop was close to home

Comment: My vehicle has an enclosed unit to check the transmission fluid and when I was getting routine oil changes, no one told me they didnt have the tool needed to check trans fluid level.Once I experienced problems when braking and would stall, I asked questions because couldnt find where to check myself. When I was given Todds Service name, I called and was told to bring over. Even though their lot was full, they checked fluid level and found it was extremely low. Filled and said itd should fix problem. He was right! Im on the road again. Thank you!!

Todd replaced the front muffler on my 2010 Corolla a process which from initiation to completion was a matter of only 7 days, taking into consideration I reside 80 kilometers away in Grand Bend Canada it was pretty quick especially when the earliest I could have acquired replacement from my local Toyota dealer was 3 months. Comment: The day before Christmas Eve, I wake up and my car doesn’t want to start. Get it running and it’s throwing white smoke. Go to Todd’s, tell him what’s going on. Not long after he sends a tow truck, and a few hours after that he calls and my car is good as new. Reasonable price. I woke up thinking she was finally done. 250k miles and still going STRONG and he’s done most of the work over last few years. It’s been over a week car is still running great. I called Todd’s service center and they gave me a knowledgeable quote for the work needed on my car and a timeframe it could be done in. I dropped my car off and within an hour or 2 they had called me to verify what needed to be done and gave me a quote for additional work that the dealership had recommended. They made sure my car actually needed it done and had my permission before doing anything. They didn’t pressure me into anything and they explained pros and cons of doing the work now vs waiting. They got my car back to me quickly and provided excellent in person and phone customer service!

Comment: I ended up finding this mechanic on a whim after I was told by tuffy that my engine in my suv has a possibility of dying, so they refused to fix the weird noise under the hood. So I took it to Todd’s and not only did they prove tuffy wrong, but they saved me a bunch of money doing it. I’ve went here ever since this past summer. And I have older vehicles, so they need tlc a bit more often. Recently, they took a $500 bill and ended up turning it into a $300 bill because even though they quoted me for the parts already, they got in there and realized I didn’t need all of them. Many other mechanics would just do the work and not tell you, especially if you know nothing about cars, like I do. They tow themselves as well for them to do the work and it’s super affordable. As long as the service and honesty keeps coming from these people, I’m going to continue coming to them. I would recommend these guys over and over.

Comment: One of the best experiences Ive had with a repair/service facility, ever! These people are fast, friendly and fair...extremely fair. Im from out of town and needed a fairly quick turnaround on a brake job. My expectation was that I needed brakes all the way around. They checked everything out and told me that my rear brakes were actually good and didnt try to up-sell me at all. Got new fronts plus an oil change and everything was done in less than two hours - from the time I walked into the place. To top it off, everyone there treated me like a friend. We need more businesses like this where they truly put the customer first.Thanks Todd and Crew!

Comment: I went to school with Todd back in the day, and he and his crew have taken care of alllll the repair jobs I cant do at home. Everything from fixing up the odd oil leaks on my old Buick, to completely replacing brake lines, to PITA jobs like replacing the forward exhaust manifold gaskets on two different 2.8L Fieros, to swapping the motor/trans/computer out of the 86 Fiero for a 3800 supercharged series 2, the 4 speed auto trans, and the whole OBD2 computer and rewiring the entire car. Currently theyre cutting a bunch of rust cancer out of the underside of my first gen CTS-V and welding in some fresh steel. Next up theyre going to be replacing the body bushings and swapping out the headers and putting some sidepipes on my C3 Vette. Point is, Todds does it all, does it well, does it cost effectively, gets it done as quick as it can get done, and hes always straightforward about what to expect.

Comment: If you are ever looking for a mechanic, Todd is your guy. I took my Lincoln MKZ to the Ford dealership and they started forgetting parts to my car and telling me that my car is spilling oil everywhere and it needs a new front axle. I knew from there they were lying to me. It was $200 bill then went to $1200 in minutes. So, I took my car to Todd and he told that everything was fine with my car. There was no need to replace the front axle and there is no oil leak. He was able to fix my car in a day and at a great price. I could not recommend a better mechanic.

I have to leave a review because this morning my daughter had no breaks and was told that her back brakes caused a breakline issue and was quoted best price in town. My daughter didnt have enouph money to get the brakes repaired. Todd wouldnt let her drive the car with no breaks, so he did the back breaks and the breakline for the amount my daughter had. I know that the amount barely covered the parts, so in a nut shell he didnt charge much for a few hours of labor. That is the kindest thing ever. This man deserves yours, mine, and everyone I knows business. Ontop of taking care of my only daughter he did an awesome job. I highly recommend Todds auto center.

Comment: I was traveling between Wisconsin and Maine when I got a grinding noise coming from one of my wheels in Port Huron. There are few things that make a person feel more helpless than car trouble hundreds of miles from home. I asked around and read online reviews, and Todds came up as a good bet. They were very busy, but they squeezed me in for a look--It turned out that a rock had gotten lodged and then dislodged driving through a construction zone to my hotel. They even took it fort a test drive around the block for me. When it came time to pay, he said it wouldnt be enough to even write up a ticket for the job. (I tipped him anyhow). A place like this could have taken me to the cleaners. Instead, they treated me with respect, understood my predicament and were spectacularly professional. This is how business ought to be. I cannot say enough good things about them, and if you need service in Port Huron, I recommend them with total confidence.
