Comment: Great honest service! Wish we had started going here when we moved here 7 years ago!! After getting burned twice by another local service I decided to give them a shot. First job was installing my new tires that were shipped from Tire Rack. Theyre an approved installer and going this route saved me a few hundred dollars over buying at the local big box tire shops around town (and also putting the install $$ in a local business).Second visit was a special request, that they happily accomondated, to have brake pads that I had bought elsewhere installed. Im picky and wanted high end ceramic pads and not just some OEM off the shelf pads. I waited and was in and out in under 2 hours! Thanks to the excellent team there 👏. You have all my future business

Ive brought my high mileage car to them twice, and each time they gave me a wide range of options and prices, again, with no pressure to have any service performed that I didnt absolutely need, which means a lot when youre trying to avoid putting too much money into an old car. Plus, they are extremely friendly and put up with me and my two-year-old son! I have recommend them to friends and family without hesitation.

Comment: I went in to have the oil changed in my 2019 Toyota Prius. Mitch was great on the phone, helped me get the coupon discount, and set up an appointment right away. When they were done with the oil change they said that during the inspection they saw an issue with my front brakes. Mitch said they have a free brake inspection and we set one up for my next available day. I took it in again, and what they suspected was true. I needed new front brakes. They took care of it all in one day, and were great to work with. The two guys in the office are smart, funny, and caring. I loved the experience and will certainly be back for any more mechanical needs.

All this combined, makes for an all-around excellent experience and I appreciate it.I love the whole process from start to finish.You receive a text and/or email with a vehicle inspection highlighting any major or minor issues, which also includes photos of your vehicle before they begin work and then you get sent get close-up photos of the problem areas. It is then your decision as to which repairs you would like done and the estimated cost. You can also decide which repairs you wish to decline. I find this very helpful because sometimes I see issues I had not noticed before. The correctly diagnosed that the road noise was due to rear wheel alignment issues and the check-engine problem was stuck valve cam adjusters.They did a rear wheel alignment and tire rotation, and changed the oil. The road noise is greatly reduced, and the check-engine light went off about 50 mile later! Thanks guys

Currently working 6 days a week with Sunday being my only day off. Did a Google search & found The Detroit Garage-Hamburg. Although they are not open on Sundays I was able to get my car in Monday. The place the clip hooked to was torn and it could have been an expensive, time consuming repair (Im pretty sure it WOULD have been, if I had taken it to the dealership). The repair man at Hamburg Garage got creative and came up with another way to tie the shield to the undercarriage. 20 minutes later, I was back on the road!He wouldnt even accept payment! Comment: I have been experiencing engine noise and vibrations on the front right side of my car for almost 2 years. We’ve taken it in to a few different places explaining the sound and that we think it’s a bad motor mount. Thousands of dollars later and being told “No, it’s not the motor mount it’s X” only to get it back and the noise and vibration still be as noticeable as ever.This was by far the best experience I’ve had with an auto repair shop. It was easy to get my car in, and they sent a link of the recommended repairs that I could approve or decline and give me a grand total that matched what I paid when I picked it up the next day. Comment: Right off the bat the service was great they were very friendly on the phone. I was trying to get my brakes done on my 05 Nissan xterra (specifically rear right caliper grinding) This was the 3rd place I called and after talking to the nice gentleman on the phone I felt welcomed and felt like they would take care of me. They also told me I could get a loner car and for free.... Deal! I dropped off my car on Thursday night and by 1030-11am the next day they had called me with updates. After they did a full brake inspection ($60 and it goes towards the repairs) they concluded that my brakes were pretty bad they recommended all new rotors, pads, brake flush and all caliper slide pins replace. I explained to them that my car was old and I was getting a new one soon and I didnt want to dump a lot of money into my car so they talked to the mechanic to see what the bare minimum needed to get me back on the road was. They sent me a text with a link that showed me the recommended repairs and price and let me approve or decline specific repairs. It also had notes from the mechanic along with pictures I really liked this. I could see what they were talking about and I didnt have to leave work. I was given enough info that I felt confident I wasnt getting ripped off. I ended up getting new rear rotors and pads and had the rear slide pins replaced. I could see almost in real time what the price was from the link they had sent and when I went to pay for it the price matched what they had quoted. I would 100% recommend this shop to anyone.

They took care of me there and I appreciated it!They were able to get my truck in on short notice and got the repairs done when they said they would. No problem – they did me a favor and replaced it. Comment: Here is a auto repair facility that I believe I can totally trust. I came here to get a second opinion on a problem. A different repair facility told me it was a rack and pinion problem and would cost around $2300 to fix. Long story short, that wasnt the problem. They (Hamburg Garage) fixed my car properly and it was at 1/4 the cost of what I was quoted earlier by the OTHER repair facility. Here is a group of people who try their best to repair customers cars without gouging for more money like many other places do. They were Honest, Efficient and Repaired my car in a very timely manner: Quick! Ill be going back here because they are honest and I can trust them. Its hard to find an auto repair garage like this these days and believe me, Ive had my share of untrustworthy, bad repair shops over the years. The temperature was below freezing and the phone lines at their garage failed due to the inclement weather. Comment: Back in May I had recently moved to the area and decided last min. on my day off to see if someone could squeeze me in for an oil change. Dan got me in right away and has always taken great care of my husband and I when we have needed our cars serviced. In a time where it feels like true customer service is dead, the Hamburg Garage genuinely puts customer service at the core of their business model. We have never felt like we were talked into something we didnt need and have always trusted their honesty with repairs. They even send handwritten thank you cards, which is unheard of these days. We will continue to support and do business with them for as long as we live in the area. Thank you for the great experience!

Comment: Great service! When I called about an unsafe situation with my car, they had me bring it in right away, even offering to stay late if I couldnt make it by closing. They provided a free loaner for the whole 4 days they needed to repair my car and also a fabulous list of other maintenance and repair issues that I need to work on a little at a time. They even helped me to identify which ones are the most important for helping to extend the life of my car, and which can wait. Staff was friendly, and very knowledgeable even though my car is an old bmw that some mechanics have zero interest in working on. Very pleased and I wont hesitate to return.

Comment: Fast, competent service. Not the lowest price youll find, but theyre not overcharging by any stretch. Their expertise and commitment to stand behind their work is worth the extra few bucks, and they dont try to upsell you on unecessary work. Ill be taking my car here for the foreseeable future.Also, fastest oil change Ive ever had done, and it cost less than any of the quick lube chains in the area.

Comment: I will never take my car anywhere else. These guys do such great work, and at such competitive prices, and theyre so kind. I had my four-year-old with me, and he had the run of the front office. Not really the run of it, per se, but the guys up front all have kids and they were all happy to see a four-year-old running around who reminded them of their kids. My boy even got taken back into the shop and got to sit in a Shelby Mustang while the mechanics started it. He has not stopped talking about how he got to sit in a race car ever since. One of the guys up front was eating his lunch, and he had a banana. My four-year-old loves bananas. The guy split it with him. I could not have been more impressed with everything about this garage. If this is anywhere close to you and your car needs work, take it here. You will not be disappointed.100% will be back. Go see for yourself. Youll be happy you did.

Dan was so helpful, he knew I had to get to the U.P. to see my children and grandchildren for the holidays. He saw me right away, and had the same mechanic Dave see what he could do. Thank you Dave! Comment: I took my car in for replacement of belts and to have what I thought was one leak checked out but it turned out to be two leaks.Dan was really helpful in explaining where the leaks were coming from and what it would take to repair them. Comment: I was having a horrible morning could not get the lug nuts off to change my flat tire.I even had a friend come over and try . Was not going well for ether of us .So I said Im just gonna call Hamburg garage and see how much it would be to have them throw on my dounut. The gentleman that answered the phone was very nice said to bring it down it would only be 5-10 bucks they would git it taken care of.When I got there he put on my dounut for me and told me dont worry about it to have a nice day.He also recommend to go to discount tire it stead of where I was headed very pleased with the recommendation I was in and out very pleasant. I would recommend Hamburg garage to anyone even my own grandmother. VERY PLEASANT EXPERIENCE! !

Comment: I wish I could give The Hamburg Garage 10 stars! My day started rough when I discovered that I had my second flat tire of the month. I called up The Hamburg Garage and Dan was very helpful, even recommending a tow company that would come out and put on my spare for me (I did not feel confident doing it myself on gravel) instead of towing so as to save me money. Once I arrived at The Hamburg Garage the guys fixed my tire very quickly and affordably. They also adjusted my tire pressure on my other tires and topped off my fluids for no additional charge. Ive previously taken my car to a mechanic 20 miles away but will be returning to The Hamburg Garage for all of my future repair needs. Highly recommend!

Comment: My car broke down an hour before they closed on a Friday before a holiday weekend. I was told they were booked solid but it wasnt safe for me to drive so bring my car in. Comment: Couldnt be happier with the Hamburg Garage! After a shoddy job performed at a local oil change place, I had to bring my Jeep Grand Cherokee for complete diagnostics, taking the oil pan apart and numerous other things...they discovered the oil filter was broken off and had run through my engine. They communicated what they had to do to my vehicle every step of the way. They even communicated with the local owner of the oil change place-who refused all responsibility. In the end, the owner of the Hamburg Garage went to court with me to help me win my case. Who does that? I ask you, where can you find another shop anywhere to help you in this way or to take responsibility for work theyve done? I give this place @ least 5 stars, a high 5 and a 6 pack....great job guys. You all have a customer for life!

Comment: We had a brake caliper lock up while passing through the area. Stopped at Hamburg Garage not knowing what to expect. They confirmed what I had suspected and immediately set to calling around to find the parts needed to get me back on the road and on with my vacation. They found everything but the brake line. So they inspected the line to make sure it was still serviceable and would get us to our destination and advised to get the line replaced as soon as we could since it would have been affected by the heat of the locked caliper.As an out-of-towner, they could have gouged us or charged us extra for express service, but they didnt. Politeness and respect. Something that is lacking in so many services today, but you can find it at Hamburg Garage. My only regret is that I dont live close enough to give them future business.

Comment: Hamburg garage is full of consummate professionals. They care about your vehicle and your.safety. They are straight forward when discussing issues or suggested fixes which is nice, and on top of that they never try to upsell you for something you dont need. You get to support a local business and you get to do so knowing that you are in good hands. A small disclaimer I have only gotten my oil changed here but they always provide a list of suggestions to keep both my new and older vehicle running at peak performance. I have taken the car to my mechanic who has always agreed with their suggestions and I generally allow the mechanic to do the work because he.will do it for a smaller price. That being said if there came a day that my mechanic could not perform the repair or maintenance I would feel not only comfortable but confident in the Hamburg garage to do a professional job and keep me informed throughout the process. I have seen some negative reviews about the Hamburg garage however, if there is one thing I have learned in customer service its that a person who has what they view as a Negative experience is much more likely to complain as opposed to sing praises. Lastly, you should not take my word for it you should go in and speak with Dan or any other member of the team and be wowed by their uncommon business practices. I have always felt like I was getting a shady deal at auto shops but the Hamburg garage breaks that stigma and provides top notch customer service and I would not be surprised to see them in business for many years to go! Go see them today!

Comment: They installed a catback exhaust system on my 2016 Mustang. They were able to make my appointment request and they got me in and out of there quickly.
