Comment: When the transmission on my car died, I was dreading having to shop for another vehicle.However.The Detroit Garage - Canton went out of their way to make sure I didnt have to buy a new car. After the diagnostic was performed, they found a bulletin GM (I have a Chevy Spark) issued that states that if a transmission fails on *specific* model years, it is to be replaced at no cost to the customer. They told me to take it to the closest Chevy dealership, and it should be taken care of.They didnt have to go out of their way to find that bulletin for me. I got a brand-new transmission for free because a decent human being decided to be the worlds best mechanic. 🙌💯

He was always very detailed in his communication with me and they know to pull the technician service bulletin on the issues that certain car makes and models are having. The Ford dealer wanted to charge me $6000 to pull apart my transmission, the Detroit garage followed the service bulletin and reset my computer as noted for $350. Comment: I have a 2014 Audi S5 convertible that had issues with the convertible top not opening. I took my convertible into the Audi dealership where it had sat for three weeks. The Audi dealership service center said that it was going to be a long drawn out ordeal to figure out the issue for the vehicle, they gave me the opportunity to take my car to another place as they were already over come with vehicles in their shop. I have used Canton garage before but did not think that they were capable of doing a better job than a Audi dealership Service mechanic, boy was I wrong. Canton garage within 24 hours diagnosed it found the issue, took pictures, put together report, sent it to me in a text, and quoted me a price to fix it and have it for pick up at 5 o’clock that day. I have taken my Corvette to canton garage, I have taken my Silverado, and now I have taken my Audi And to get fixed and every single thing that they’ve ever done they’ve fixed it quickly efficiently with documentation and proof of what was wrong with pictures. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate that this company exists.

They did a an inspection for my Honda accord 2006 EX my front axles broke had my car towed to a different shop had them replace it had a vibration noise coming from the front on my car increased the faster you go , canton garage inspected and diagnosed my noise it was the AXLES! The other shop replaced and somehow they didn’t see they were loose or installed wrong such a lazy unprofessional job for a $900 repair . After I took it back to the shop that did the work and fixed the noise I drove right back up to canton garage to have them inspect it again to see if they actually did the repair right , seems like the other shop did and fixed the vibration issue , talked to the mechanic he said the axles shouldn’t become loose again. They’re locked it I’m 24 year old know nothing about cars and I felt comfortable around them , they’re laidback, friendly I would definitely recommend this place and the next time I have an issue with my car I’m going to have them take care of it . The employee seem like they enjoy their job and take care of the customers and safety!

Comment: I am a repeat customer here, and this is why. I recently purchased a newer used vehicle. The engine failed and was towed to the Canton garage. I was told it needed a new engine, a $10,000 repair. I had purchased an aftermarket warranty from the dealership. The staff at the Canton garage looked at the warranty, which only partially covered the repair, but then they had done some research on the own and called GMC. It turns out my vehicle was still covered under factory warranty. Because of them, the complete engine repair and $10,000 cost will be covered by GMC. If that doesn’t show you honesty and integrity and the kind of people that are there at the Canton garage, then I don’t know what else could.Canton garage is my first call when I need auto service.

Comment: I have to speak on The Canton Garage! I recently got lucky and stumbled into the place, my previous mechanic suffered a premature demise and I was forced to look around, but I digress. From the first phone call, Bob spoke like a Joe Everyman. Easy to understand and easy to follow. When I showed up I was even more pleased. Comfortable seating area fully stocked with Faygo, a local soft drink company (support your community business), and Bob was the same person that got us checked I. And dropped the cat. Appointment was Wednesday but I dropped it off Monday in case someone got free and felt ambiguous. Next day Jimmy called and let me know exactly what was going on, he sent me an itemized invoice of recommendations for services. I chose which ones were necessary and affordable and sent it back to him. Again, not expecting work to be done anytime soon, but Wednesday afternoon it was done! Car was washed and ready when I got there, the red pop was chilled to perfection, and I drove out of there with my repairs completed. I wont hesitate to use or recommend any of these privately owned businesses! Being treated well is a much needed experience in todays society! Thank you, Canton Garage, if I could buy a round for the staff, I would. 💪

Comment: I called the Canton Garage late Friday afternoon in a panic. We were rushing to beat traffic to move my daughter 8 hours away for college when I noticed something peeling from one of her tires. She had picked up a screw the day before and took it to a local Ann Arbor garage to get it plugged/patched. Even though it was almost 4pm on a Friday and they closed at 6pm, Tommy offered to check it out. Turns out the puncture was too close to the sidewall, and the tire should have been replaced, not patched. Tommy sent one of his technicians to the warehouse to pick up a tire and they had us on the road before 6pm. Thanks to Canton Garage, instead of scrambling all weekend trying to get an appointment somewhere, we were able to stick to our schedule.I have been bringing all my cars to Bill Browns for 15 years, and Gerry and Bob always did a fantastic job. Its good to see that Bob is still around, and that Tommy is carrying on the great customer service I have always received from this location. Ill definitely continue to give Canton Garage my car repair business!
