Comment: My car repairs have been a nightmare at a car dealers service department, these guys, all I can say is Thank you to them because they’ve helped from the first phone call, they never worked with my warranty company before and they called and had that set up so I didn’t have to come completely out of pocket and are doing everything possible to get my vehicle back on the road and it’s only been there a few days it was at the other unnamed car dealers shop for 4 months and all they managed to do was break my starter. So make sure you check with these guys for your vehicle needs

Comment: I learned some devastating news about my 2018 Jeep Compass.  An executive had the car for 1 year as a lease before I had owned it.  I had a 5 year loan almost paid down in 3 years on my vehicle.  I received the vehicle in 2019 with 25,000 miles on it; and put about 28,000 miles on it within the 3 years that I have had it.  I just missed the warranty on any big items with my vehicle.  These days people say lease or buy or dont worry about a warranty on the vehicle.  You hear of people having vehicles for years before issues happening to it like at 100,000 miles or more.  Well not my vehicle! My vehicle had one of the worst things wrong with it next to transmission.  This is my 3rd vehicle-1st Ford Escape, 2nd Honda Fit; and 3rd Jeep Compass with major issues before 60,000 miles on them that I was paying for.  I used to lease all the time.  But it is really disheartening that vehicles & parts are not quality made anymore.I had a rack n pinion issue along with several steering items that needed changing out.  I baby this car.  I slow down for every railroad track, avoid potholes, and drive the speed limit.  So, when I found out from car places that I had this issue, I was absolutely mortified.I had to check with several different car care places throughout the downriver area. I always read reviews first.  I found Southgate Auto Center via Goodyear on Eureka Road.  I met the guys at the shop. But, Ricky & Hector were most helpful.  Ricky was with me every step of the way.  With having a newer job, getting caught up from COVID lockdown, not having a lot of money yet in the bank, this was devastating to my finances. I was going to have to save up money for it; and bring it in.  But I was blessed to get it done sooner.Ricky called me to say my car was done in a day when it was taking just 3 weeks to get a diagnosis to any place I went to.  He answered every question that I had; and was extremely kind, courteous and patient with me. I was super nervous especially knowing how very expensive this repair was going to be.  Ricky did not one time get frustrated with me calling him; or the times that I came in to get things set up for the vehicle to go in the shop. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone.  The employees are all very friendly and super helpful.  They did a great job; and took great care of my car.  All car places are a nightmare right now thanks to this world situation with the shortage of parts; but this place came through for me. I was pleasantly surprised; and in much need of having my vehicle back immediately.  I am super thankful to of found these guys. Keep up the great work!

The staff was very friendly and helpful, going as far as making sure I had a way back home while my car was worked on. Turns out the vacuum leak was a flex pipe, and the motor mounts are $250 each. 3 hours, 2 motor mounts, and a $150 flex pipe later she runs like a dream. No more loud starts in the dead of winter, and no more shakes like she’s withdrawing from her last hit of methadone (she was screaming before, now she’s happy as a clam).

Lowered higher end sports car and they had zero issues with it being lowered and had all the proper equipment and knowledge to handle it. Very informative and respectful people. Great customer care. I went to online reviews for help in choosing a place I felt I could trust. I narrowed it down to three places in the Southgate area then called each one for a quote. Allen answered the call and was friendly and listened to what I thought my car issue was. He gave me a quote and a timeline of how long it would take. When I brought my truck in I checked it in with Joe, who just like Allen, made me feel like I had picked the right shop. They finished my truck ahead of schedule the week of Thanksgiving. When I picked up my truck Joe says bring the truck in before your cross country trip back home so we can look at it and make sure everything is safe for you and your family. It’s great when you meet people that care. Comment: I had an issue with the heater in my vehicle. After visiting a nearby shop and getting a quote for over $1000 . ( I am on disability) I stopped at Southgate Auto. Mike was working the front counter. He had vehicle checked out recommended replacing thermostat and flushing heater core. I agreed a now have heat and saved hundred of dollars. Mike was polite,informative and kept me updated. This shop is great!

They worked with my warranty company and ordered me a new/used motor and transmission.I would be a wreck trying to figure things out if Alan and his wonderful staff werent top of things. Comment: This review for 2/1/20. This is a great shop! These guys go over and beyond the call of duty of customer service. Theyre good and honest people and thats hard to come by these days. They fix your vehicle in a timely manner. The prices are fair and if for some reason your repair is held up they will communicate the problem to you. This will ALWAYS be my go to place for my repairs. One last thing thats great, is that the shop is open on Sundays too.

Comment: Hands down the best shop in the downriver area extremely polite staff very knowledgeable mechanics this is a place where you can come to and not have to worry about getting ripped off or being charged for work that wasn’t done. Your car will be done right here and while you’re getting your car serviced you can relax in the lobby in very very comfortable chairs and watch the tv, coffee, water, and juice are also available. Trust me if you want your car treated with respect and done right come check this place you will not disappointed.
