I was fortunate they were able to take care of me same day. Im glad I stopped in a couple days prior and met who I believed to be the Owner and heard his business philosophy. Im thankful the vehicle is moving again Ive had it parked for months unable to make the time to do the repair myself. Also while performing the work they noticed a potential future issue they notified me of that Im closely monitoring. He tells you exactly what you need and does not bullsh*t you on things that you dont need. He also will not allow you to drive a vehicle if he deems it unsafe. As a single woman, its very hard to find an honest mechanic. I have 110% trust in Paul at Skips Auto. I have recommended this company to all of my friends and family. I drive 76 miles (one way) to have him service my baby; a 2005 Chevy Avalanche and she purrs like a kitten. When Paul retires, maybe then I will have to find a new mechanic. Until then I will continue to entrust my vehicle to Skips Auto shop

Was super willing to work with my 3rd party warranty company which as you can imagine was a pain in the butt for them. Drive my car from Detroit to Montreal and back and she ran like a Swiss watch. Comment: I had bought a used truck from a dealership and had nothing but problems since I bought it. It kept shifting really hard and after two days of owning it I took it back to the dealership to have him take a look at it. They claim it threw no codes and it never shifted hard for them which was a lie. I took it to skips since they accept the warranty that I had purchased with the truck and found the problem right off rip. The transmission cooler lines were bad and leaked out all the transmission fluid hence the shifting hard. They made the repair and now the truck drives exactly how its supposed to. They did an awesome job.Also while I had it if I didnt drive the truck for a day or two the battery would die and I would have to use a booster pack to jump it. They had the same issue so they checked the battery out for me and told me it was garbage It was the original battery from the truck which is about 7 years old. It only had 97 cold cranking amps. I had them just replace the battery as well. Now when I jump in the truck to go somewhere I dont have to worry about anything. They did a great job and were a hundred percent professional and honest. From here on out if I have any other issues I will be taking my truck back to them.

Gave an honest opinion and a realistic estimate for how much longer you could go before needing a replacement or consequences of not replacing things. Happy to say he was the good neighborhood mechanic that could be trusted to not quote unnecessary markups.

Comment: This garage gives absolutely excellent service. My friend and I had a 2 and a half uear old child with us and a huge hole in the radiator. The gentlemen went out of their way to get our car fixed and back on the road as quickly as possible. They even turned down an offered bonus.

Comment: We dropped our vehicle off Friday June 15, 2018 to be diagnosed for an electrical issue. We were told that they may need the vehicle as long as into Monday June 18, 2018. Received a call Monday that the problem had been located & they can correct the issue and have the vehicle ready for us on Tuesday June 19, 2018. Over all happy with the service thus far. Theyve done what they said they were going to do & have met the time line THEY set for us to expect to hear from them.

He listened to my long story about what I thought I had done to my car, calmed me down, and was extremely affordable in the end :) Went because it was convenient for work but would go out of my way to come here because it seems like an honest and experienced shop

Comment: All the guys in this car clinic are very friendly and honest. My cars oxygen sensor is broken, but the dealer said the fuel injectors are not working, and asked a very expensive price. I repaired it in this car clinic, much more cheaper. Good store, usually very busy, need to make an appointment.

Comment: Took my car in 4 days before Christmas. I told them an engineer had told me that my hood release cable was severed, and I also needed an oil change and tire rotation. They called me later to say the hood release cable was fine, but that the latch just needed lots of lubrication (no charge for this). The key for my locking lug nuts was broken, so they had to cut off the lug nuts if I wanted the tire rotation. They did everything same-day, and I dont feel that I was overcharged. Im very pleased and will return in the future.

Comment: Skips always has great prices compared to other shops, you can even bring your parts ..I had tie rods and rack and pinion done and was reasonable priced, my only complaint would be not open Saturday but not a big deal as I have another vehicle and they get pretty involved work done within a week usually! Highly satisfied customer
