Comment: Great auto repair shop in Macomb.This is my third time using them to repair my vehicles (Dodge Durango and Mazda, six). Each time I’ve had a great experience. But what I like about them is that they are great at communicating what the problem is, they never try to upsell me. The reason I keep coming back is that they actually listen to me, they want to fully understand the problem before they take your vehicle. I’m also happy that there’s never any surprise billing. If Anything does change, they always call and make sure I’m onboard with whatever they are doing. I would highly recommend them.

Comment: Only Auto Center I’ll Go ToI was always one to work on my own cars but the time to do and todays technology make it impossible to do. This is the first auto center I’ve been to and they were great. John was very polite and informative-dropped off in the morning and got a follow up call a few hours later. Very detailed when discussing what was wrong and the solution. Great price for the work done but never tried to perform any unnecessary work. Have a print out of all the error codes which is good to have for reference. I’m glad I found this place and I would highly recommend them. As a female , I often get talked down to - stared at - scoffed at - or …. The worst ever …. Told to smile more ( ladies you know what I’m talking about ). NONE of that nonsense here !! I was in middle of extremely stressful life situation TWICE when I went to them - I was honestly kind of a jerk - a Karen so to speak - I didn’t mean to be - and felt absolutely terrible and apologized - but I was that stressed out - not because of them but because I was so overwhelmed in life the last thing I needed on my plate were car issues I couldn’t afford - with no way to get places .They were absolutely wonderful to me . They set me up in finance program ( be forewarned tho if you don’t pay off in 100 days it is 130% interest ! Lenders fault not mechanics ) - they had a loaner car I was able to use - and they got a TON of work done in 1.5 days is all - most other shops ? Seriously would have taken at least a week . They checked over everything for safety - and asked about my life needs with the car 🚗 n order to decide what repairs needed to be done and what could wait .I then had to take car back 8 weeks later due to an issue another mechanic had caused ( when I took it to him he totally misdiagnosed problem and blamed Shelby Auto!) - when I got to them they properly diagnosed vehicle - and very kindly did repair for me instead of making me take it back to bad mechanic . They are KIND - something the world needs more of nowadays . Don’t hesitate - just choose this shop - they do it all !! VERY TRUSTWORTHY !! Thank you gentleman!

Comment: Fantastic experience! I needed the two mufflers replaced and was told bring it up and well take care of it. Once on the lift for inspection it was clear everything needed replaced. Typically for the average shop exhaust is a simple task. Not this car, x frame with the exhaust tucked in the frame with four inches of clearance from the ground. No room for errors. They hand bent the total exhaust and even had to fabricate flanges for the manifolds. I definitely recommend this shop and will have them do the things I cant. Oh by the way the car is 63 years old. 57 t-birds for ever!

Comment: My 2016 Honda Pilot was due for a B14 service, i.e., oil, filter, spark plugs, water pump, timing belt, tensioner, engine drive belt. The local dealership quoted me $2000. I called around and found John at Shelby Auto Care. John provided me with a quote for less than half of what the dealership was asking. The service was to be about 5 hours. Dropped off my car on Tuesday night. Unfortunately, storms took out power for one day on Wednesday. John called me to keep in touch and let me know the situation about the power outage and the delay. Picked up the car up on Friday morning without any issues. John provided me the parts upon request. Overall, I had a great experience with John and will bring other service repairs that I cannot do myself. Would recommend John and Shelby Auto Care to others.

Comment: The shop was extremely busy when my husband brought his car in with a huge job. There were a few mishaps that was beyond the shops control but after John realized what had happened he quickly explained the situation and I hate to use the cleshay he went above and beyond but he really did to rectify the situation and make sure we were happy and driving a safe car. I am sorry for the first bad review, I think they were just so busy and honestly trying to help everyone the best he could.

Comment: I have been going to Shelby Auto care for some years. Im that guy who doesnt trust anyone to work on my vehicles but can honestly say John is bar none a very honest straight shooter. He has worked on my personal vehicles as well as family members with no problems at all. Just this past weekend we heard a noise coming from the front of our Tahoe and right away I was thinking axle shaft repair. We didnt drive the vehicle Monday knowing we were going to take it in to Shelby Auto care. When we arrived John took it back and in 10 minutes he pulled it around completed and topped off all of our fluids at no charge. Our cap on the new rims we had just purchased came loose so John tightened them back up for us. This team John has is awesome and I would recommend him to anyone anytime.

Comment: Great place to get work done! Took my car in for a fluid leak. They found out it was a pretty serious leak from the transmission. Obviously the car was there for longer than originally planned however the work was done PROPERLY and everyone was extremely nice and kept me informed during the process. They ended up having my car for about 4 and a half days after finding numerous problems. I would rather have it take a little bit longer and have it done right, which these guys will! Definitely recommend!

Comment: Had a lot of issues before coming in, bad idle, stalling issues and engine light. Brought my car in to Jon and had the mass air flow sensor fixed, spark plugs, egr, boost bypass valve, programing errors and much more. I got my car back today and it starts up perfect and runs smooth, I definetely recommened this shop for anyone with mechanical issues, Jon has a wide knowledge of cars and will work with you to fix any issues that occur!

Yes, budget is a concern as well but I think if you are like us finding someone you can trust is the primary goal.
