Comment: My first time getting service from Roys. My first impression is great. They were fair, quick and thorough including a free safety inspection. I usually try to do most of my own auto repairs, but this one was beyond me. I had to have the Powertrain Control Unit replaced and re-programmed in my Chevy Colorado pickup. The truck would randomly quit and not restart for 10 minutes. Hopefully this fixes the problem. I would come back again when I need service beyond my comfort level.

I went in to get my new wheels and tires mounted and balanced a couple days ago and I am extremely happy with the results, not a scratch on my wheels! I wasted a weeks worth of time trying to find a shop that would do this for me but everyone, besides Roy’s, denied my business due to my tires being slightly too narrow for my wheels but Roy’s did it with no problem for a great price! I will be back for an alignment and for any other work I need done, I won’t go anywhere else and you shouldn’t either!

Comment: Now more than ever, you need a garage you can trust, and you can definitely trust this place. I recently took my daughters 07 suv in to diagnose and repair whatever was causing her check engine light to stay on. Long story mercifully shorter, it was a sensor on a ring on an axle. Being an over-engineered German suv, you cant replace just the ring. Instead of merely defaulting to the factory part which was $900, they took it upon themselves to find an after-market part which was only $200. Who does that? These guys ... these guys do that!

Comment: I had brought my truck in (252,000 miles) to have a used front differential installed. Being as I opted to buy a used one from a junk yard it carried no warranty. A month later my truck started making noise and I thought the parts I had brought them were bad, turns out they were fine and the noises I was hearing was something else we determined after two trips back to Roy’s. Roy and his mechanics spent nearly two hours of their time (nearly a 200$ value) at no charge to me. The mechanic was very thorough and made sure to explain to me what he thought was causing the sound and why and went above and beyond explaining some other issues with my truck. That could be causing my problem. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to bring any of my families vehicles back to Roys the service was beyond what I expected and the original turn around time was quick

Comment: After several quotes from a few local shops, it was recommended that I call Roys. They were very professional but unfortunately had a 10 day wait to perform an a/c compressor install. I didnt want to wait the 10 days so I installed the compressor myself. I did ask if they could evacuate my refrigerant before I performed the job which they were able to do in about a half hour and for a reasonable price. I also had them install a new accumulator/drier and recharge the system when I finished the compressor install. Again, I felt the price was fair and the work was excellent. It was very apparent that they were busy for a good reason. This is the best shop Ive been to and will be my new shop going forward. Its difficult to find a good auto mechanic but I think weve found that in Roys. Thanks for the good work gentleman!

Very communicative throughout the repair of your vehicle even utilizing texting, to make sure your aware of where their at with diagnostics and how youd like to move forward. I appreciate their honesty! I also was shuttled to Enterprise to get a rental car and expected to wait awhile, when it only took them 5 minutes after check in to pull the shuttle up. This helps when you have to go to work immediately after. I got my car back within 4 days as parts took a little longer however, my car drives like its brand new. Comment: So I had a horrible issue with my car, the check engine light was flashing and I lost pretty much all power to my car. I limped it down the street to the dealership....Huge mistake. They informed me all fuel injectors are out and I need a tune up, aka $3610 before tax. Called up Roys and Glen assured me there is no way Im paying that. He secured a tow for me and tacked it on to the bill while I was at work, no muss no fuss. Next day he calls and tells me the dealership was WAY OFF. A tune up, a fuel injector cleaning, and Im back on the road. The cost was less than $1000 INCLUDING TOW!!! The real heros of 2019 and beyond is Glen and everyone else at Roys. Do yourself a favor go there!!!

They were very through, they’re notes were detailed and easy to comprehend and they also took pictures of certain things that needed to be addressed. Thinking I needed a battery I called Roys and the first one or two times was politely told that they were swamped and didnt think it would be possible. About 15 minutes later, who shows up but Roy himself!He was very cordial and set out to replace the battery. However before he removed the battery he asked me a few questions and had me crank on the starter a few times. He said he was sorry but felt itwas a little more serious and my F250 with a 3000# Lance slide in camper had to be towed to their shop. He arranged everything and when it got to the shop he put the nicest and best Ford truck mechanic ive ever met, Aaron, on the job.Aaron gave me the bad news! The engineWas blown and he said all of the coolant was in the crankcase along with a whole lot of miscellaneous metal(piston rings etc.)I chose to have a remanufactured engine installed and couldnt be happier with the processes and outcome.This place is high tech and very customer friendly! No question i asked was everto dumb and they satisfied every request. They have a life long customer in me!HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Comment: I brought my 07 Mercury Mariner to Roys for a pretty long list of repairs. They were very informative and accommodating. My husbands Ram 1500 needed some repairs as well so we brought his truck in a couple months later and received the same great customer service. I would recommend Roys if youre looking for a shop that will actually walk you through the repairs needed and treat you with respect.

Comment: Ive been coming here for years and this is hands-down the best mechanic shop Ive had the pleasure of giving my business to. Its not easy to find an honest reliable mechanic these days, much less a good shop with multiple good mechanics, Roys has both. After the numerous bad experiences Ive had with other shops, Ive had only one here which was an accident of theirs, and it got fixed for free.If you are expecting an in-and-out fly by night mechanic this might not your place. They are frequently extremely busy because they do extremely good work. Be patient, let them take their time, and you will be happy you did.Or you can go somewhere else and quite likely get ripped off. Cheers!

Comment: My wifes heat went out on her 2008 Grand Prix. Called Roys on a Friday evening to get it in the shop on Saturday. They had it fixed with no extra hassles or upsells for repairs we didnt need. They stayed after hours to make sure she had the car by Monday for work. Absolutely will go back to them again.

I had problems with the heat in my Jeep and needed a lot of other problems fixed, I had researched the fix for this and knew it was going to be a big job for labor and parts. The guys at this place were awesome, they walked me through what they were going to do and there were no surprises except for great service. They’re beyond fabulous!!For the readers: In June of 2014, my suspension struts dislodged and punctured my driver’s side tire. I took it to a place I thought I could trust in the Lansing area (home). Long story is simply I could NOT trust them. A month later, I found myself with problems. This time I went to Roy’s upon a friend’s referral.There are not enough words in the English language to convey their expertise, efficiency and, most importantly, consideration of their customers. I called after hours to get their number in my cell phone, but Mike answered the phone. He was never irritated nor hurried me off the line. I explained my past situation, and that I had to drive to Canada that weekend (this was a Tuesday). He told me to get it checked ASAP, and set me up with an appointment for the following afternoon.Upon arrival, their lobby was filled with customers, as was the parking lot. Their work area was highly computerized and efficiently ran. I overheard one worker explaining they were scheduling two weeks out. I became nervous. However, there was never cause for nerves. They checked me in, said they would run a diagnostic test and promised to call.Guess what? They called! They ran through a list of problems they found. They even told me what wasn’t mandatory to fix! Their conclusions were different--and more accurate--from the old place I went to and overall much better priced.They performed all the repairs I authorized them to do. They were excellent at communication. And they got the work done by Friday morning. On top of it all, the price was very reasonable.I drove to Canada without fear. In fact, before going to Roy’s, I was thinking I needed a new car. But now my car feels like it’s brand new. Roy’s Automotive definitely knows how to run not just a business, but a successful one. One that ensures its customers are not only taken care of properly but happy. I’m very thankful I finally discovered them...not so happy they’re so far away!!~BJO

Comment: If you happen to come across Roy’s Autoworks, then you are indeed in supreme company. From the moment you walk in you are greeted and treated with the upmost respect. Most mechanics, in my experience, will jump at any opportunity to squeeze as much money out of you by exaggerating and falsifying damages to you vehicle; that is not the case here. It is more than just clear that honesty and integrity are what drive Roy’s Autoworks. So it is my most sincere suggestion that you take your car troubles to Roy’s Autoworks.

Comment: I have been taking my car to Roys now for over a year. They are professional, helpful and honest. If you dont need the repair, or it can wait, they tell you. I have been treated with respect every time I am there. If they have a loaner car available, they give it to you. If they dont have one, you get a discount at a local car rental. Their prices are competative, and you can find coupons in the Shop Liv. flyer. I would not take my vehicle anywhere else, Roys goes above and beyond other places!

They have done every repair that we have needed in the last few years and I have no complaints and no intention of going anywhere else. Comment: After doing research on a leveling kit for my F-150 I decided to call Roys for some pricing and information. The staff was more knowledgeable and helpful than any of the other shops that I had previously contacted. At Roys more options were presented to me and I never once felt pressured to go with the more expensive options. After Roys put the kit on of my choice (cheaper than I could get it elsewhere) and alignment was completed I couldnt be more pleased. Roy has a clean, professional, first class establishment and I look forward to using Roys Autoworks for all of my car care needs in the future.

Comment: I have 2 personal and 8 business vehicles serviced there on a regular basis. Always get prompt, professional service at a fair rate. Never leave feeling gouged or lied to. I have sent both my mother and sister there as well and I normally do not refer family members anywhere. A nice side benefit is the record keeping they do. I can always go back and find out what was done to which vehicle with no issues. This has helped once or twice when a part I had replaced broke and was under warranty. I did not even have to ask Roys - they simply told me that the part was covered by the manufacturer and took care of all the details!
