Comment: Rons Garage recently did an oil change on my car, the great thing is they also did an inspections and gave me a list of everything that needed to be fixed. Being a single Mother of 3 it was nice to have, I also trust them because I was told I needed something fixed several months ago and they took me over to my car and showed it to me and then showed me the same part but what it would look like if it was faulty/bad and mine was not. They are very honest people. They arent the cheapest place youll go to, but just like the tattoos I put on my own body, you get what you pay for. Ill never go anywhere else again!

Comment: After paying too much to have a rodents nest removed from my car (PSA: it might be covered by your car insurance! - call them 1st!) and having a bad experience at the dealership, I went to Rons at the recommendation of friend. I cannot say enough wonderful things about everyone who works there. Todd and Stephanie were so kind and explained everything to me after the repair that the dealership quoted me as $300 turned out to be much more. While this might seem like a negative, Stephanie explained to me that while doing a much more in-depth inspection they realized the problem was more than a just a belt - a clear oversight by the dealership. Even after fixing that and the squeaking not gone, they were dedicated in finding the solution all the while talking me through the whole thing. Even if it meant putting a new pulley on the car only to see that wasnt solution and take it off without charging me.The whole time, I felt confident they were being transparent with me about timing, cost, and my cars problems. On top of all their actual service, Todd offered to show me how to keep rodents out of my car in the future and helped me sort out the invoice to send to my auto insurance. I even noticed when I picked it up (3 business days early!) that they had vacuumed the floor of my car. Very grateful I went here. I felt so well-taken care of, especially as someone who knows so little about her car (dont judge me). Thanks!

Comment: I have been taking my car to Rons Garage after being displeased with the dealership service. Everyone at Rons is amazing! There is always such great customer service, my car inspection (including pictures) comes to me through email, and they made a scary process a lot more tolerable. I had a laundry list of things that needed attention. I was told it would take a couple of days to fix, but infact I got my car back the very next day!! I highly recommend Rons garage for ANY car service that you need. They are excellent at what they do, the people are great, and the garage is pristine and very organized. You will get great service from Rons Garage.

With their inspection, they found areas that needed services such as transmission, sparkplugs, and timing belts. There was no pressure on having this work done, but a professional explaination of to how the service would benefit the life of my vehicle. We are from a small town and she is 1400 miles away at the University of Michigan for college so we need to find a company that gave us the small town, feel and attention that we are used to at home. they did phenomenal. The only reason I bring this up is that they provided an honest assessment with trying to find trumped-up items to “needed to be repaired now.” What impressed me was that when I had a question about a specific item, the manager brought the mechanic to the vehicle and asked him to explain how the part works, why it worked that way, and how I could check or change it on the future!I will be bringing all of my familys vehicles here in the future.

They were patient as I figured out my finances, they drove me to where I needed to be while they fixed my car, and they let me pick it up after hours. Comment: I found Ron’s Garage on line when looking for someone to install a suspension part. I was great full they would install, plus I asked for an oil change. I use my truck to tow our family’s camper, so it is very critical to keep my truck in top shape. After talking to Ron and Todd I am know my vehicle is ready to tow safely. In fact, I feel more safe than when I take it to a dealer. At Ron’s they know me; I’m not just a number. Ron and his guys looked at my car and found all the gremlins. Comment: Ive always been really anxious when it comes to auto-repair. Sure, I drive a car every day but I literally know next to nothing when it comes to vehicle maintenance. Its hard not to feel a bit pathetic when I walk into an auto-body shop since, when asked what is wrong, I can barely describe what is actually going on.So, imagine my surprise when I received such an incredibly warm welcome as soon as I stepped foot inside of Rons Garage. I explained my issue as best as my limited knowledge allowed me and it was received with literally no judgement! I was astounded by how friendly this place was! My car was actually serviced by THE Ron himself, and wow, what an incredibly pleasant man he is.I was just looking to get my windshield wipers replaced and to ask about my wiper fluid. While doing this he noticed that my tube connecting my wiper fluid to where it belonged was severed, and pointed out that the last person who fixed this did it in such a way that would eventually mean work for me. He even brought me over and pointed out all the little plastic pins this last mechanic did to keep this tube in place, which, sure, may have worked for a short while but overall proved to be ineffective.All in all, Ron really helped me out, especially since the winter season is just around the corner and having wipers that you can actually use is essential. He was just super nice and also practiced proper distancing/cleaning when handling my vehicle, too, given the pandemic.Overall, I paid way less than what I was expecting and even hung around just talking with him when it was all said and done. I honestly cant recommend this place enough. Everyone needs a mechanic they can trust and I feel 100% safe to say that I will absolutely be coming back here whenever necessary!

Comment: Having a daughter far away from home for the first time is worrisome, especially if she experiences car problems. My daughters car failed to start and I knew that it was more than a battery, as that was fairly new. When I called Ron answered the phone himself, this to me is a good sign, an owner cares about his customers. I did deal with a very professional Todd at the garage as well. They had my daughters car running and at their shop within 15 minutes. They didnt go the usual route of just selling me a new battery, in fact never mentioned it. What they did do is diagnose the problem. It came down to some engine and body ground wires that were worn thin over time. They also did a multi-point inspection of the rest of the cars functions, in which I chose a couple of crucial ones to keep the car running good. Overall, couldnt be happier with Rons service. I would highly recommend them for any car repairs.

They at all times practiced social distancing and masks. Todd wiped my key with antiseptic wipe when I gave it to him and again before returning the key. Comment: I ordered a set of tires from TireRack and Ron’s was the only local installer who has a road force balancing machine so I elected to book with them. Todd at reception who took my booking was very courteous and accommodating and my appointment was made quickly and only a couple of days out.When I checked in for my appointment he was just as he was on the phone. I explained to him I had had bad luck at a previous garage who did some damage to my rims during an alignment. I had refinished them myself over the winter and asked that they be careful. He said that their machine would do no harm. A short while later he called me to tell me that the locating ring on the balance machine had left a mark and said they would make it right. When I picked my car up, the marks were barely visible (the tech tried to polish them out) and when I got back home a rub with a microfibre cloth took them out completely.I was very impressed with their honesty and also with the job they did! Most places would not have said anything and hope that it would not be noticed. They even charged me less than was quoted as well!5 stars, and I hope Ron reads these reviews. I have no financial affiliation in any way but I will return and have no problem recommending them.

Rons did a thorough job and found a safety issue in the suspension that was fixed on time and at a fair price. Having grown up working in my uncles repair shop, I am comfortable doing all levels of repair and am always sorry on the rare occasions I choose to let an outside shop do them for me. Comment: I was taking my car to the dealership for repairs and was constantly having it break down or another issue pop up with weeks, sometimes days of having it returned to me. Often times, it was a failing part that was connected to a previous repair.It wasn’t until recently that they explained that they only guarantee the part installed, not their work. Obviously this left a loophole, I felt, where they could be sloppy with their work and run the risk of other issues occurring as a result.So I contacted Ron’s garage. Not only was the staff extremely courteous, but they assured me that all of their work was guaranteed. They really went above expectation too, diagnosing not only the current problem, but potential future issues I should have dealt with before they became bigger issues. The reason that I kept going back is that all quotes stayed as promised and more importantly the work was done correctly the first time. Comment: I have been coming to Rons since I moved here from Philadelphia in 2011. I have complete trust in their judgment when it comes to assessing my 2008 Toyota Siena and have found their work to be consistently terrific. I appreciate their embrace of technology, with ability to make online appointments, getting PDFs of my minivans checkup after each visit, and their use of photographs to illustrate problems with it. Their waiting area is clean and stocked with water, soda, coffee, snacks, and fast wifi. And the folks working there, including Todd (pictured here) are super nice. Given all this, at times I have sat there waiting to get work done rather than walking across the street to Roos Roast. The bottom line is that I am completely ignorant about automobiles and mechanics, so I really need to trust that whoever is caring for my minivan is doing so with expertise and integrity. Comment: Less than two years ago our 2012 Chevy equinox started having trouble at idle. I took it to Rons and the repair was completed in a timely manner. Just recently it was found that one of Rons mechanics had reassembled the engine incorrectly which caused extensive damage. The issue was found while a mechanic at the dealer was about to rebuild the engine for an oil consumption issue, which GM was doing free of charge. We could not proceed with the repair due to the existing engine damage. I phoned Ron about this. After inspecting the engine himself, as it was torn apart at the dealer, Ron offered me a choice. He would pay for the engine to be repaired at the dealer to the tune of $4000 or he could install a new remanufactured engine in his own shop. Since the engine had its issues with oil consumption I opted to have him install a new engine. Not only did Ron replace the engine, he payed for the dealer for the work they had invested into it. My reason for 5 stars is this. Mistakes happen. We all make them. Just an inevitable part of life. Its how we respond to those mistakes that really counts. I tells of our character. I have to say when it comes to warranty work Rons Garage has your back. Instead of trying to make excuses for mistakes made or trying to come out of this paying as little as possible, Ron kept his warranty promise and went over and above by giving me a choice. Now we have a great running vehicle without an oil consumption issue. Thanks Ron.

The experience was a pleasant one--I was in a hurry to get to a med appointment, and so I was able to quickly drop the car off, and get a ride from Todd to the UMHS hospital for my appointment. Todd offered to come and get me when I was done, but I opted instead to take Uber. When I arrived back at the shop two hours later, everything had been done, and I was able to quickly retreive my vehicle very quickly. All in all, a not unpleasant experience--a rarity these days. They sent one of their guys over with a jumpbox and got it started. I already made a pre-inspection app at another nearby garage (I didnt know Rons worked on imports). After the inspection I wanted a 2nd opinion on prices and two of their guys went through my report line by line and compared rates. Comment: Went in to get a custom wheel alignment to autocross specifications (front camber and rear toe outside factory specs). I called a bunch of other shops and they either flat-out refused to do it, or quoted me totally unreasonable prices. Ron gave me a fair estimate and set up an appointment for the next week at a convenient time for me.I think because I was asking for something unusual, and their alignment machine wasnt set up to handle it at first, the job took significantly longer than either they or I thought it would take. However, they didnt up-charge me for the difficult work and spent the extra time to really dial in the alignment in ALL dimensions, almost exactly to the specifications I gave them (and well within my tolerances). I really like the new feel my car has and Im happy to have found a local auto mechanic I can trust.

Brought my car in for an oil change and an inspection a couple months ago to see if they were the type to overcharge...and was pleased with the service and price. They wont try and get ya for extras you dont need, and will work with you to get ya what ya need. I recently went in knowing that I had a fair ammount of work to get done but in a tight budget. Todd worked with me to prioritize my work so that I could get he most important things done right away, and helped me prioritize a maintenance plan for the future to keep things going right. The emailed diagnostic report is a really nice plus, which includes the mechanics notes and photos. Very transparent. The shuttle service from Ron is another added plus. 35 years in town and a great reputation from everyone I spoke with, which I now know why. Over the years, hes surrounded himself with top notch mechanics with the latest state of the art tools who get the job done right the first time. His prices have never been cheap, but to be fair, they are certainly in line with dealer repair facilities and you avoid the factory feel of those dealership places: you will get to know your car repairmen and get a pleasure of working with people youll come to know, trust and like. Theres one other downside to the great success Ron has earned over the years: hes in demand. As soon as I sense something wrong with my car, I take it in to be looked at and then get on his schedule. The upside, when he has my car, he checks it for other problems. Yeah, that generates business for him, but because I can trust him 100%, I know its something real and Ill avoid the ugly experience of having something serious go wrong on any long road trip. Comment: Rons Garage is great! I brought my car in for a second opinion on my brakes. I had brought it to another auto repair shop in the area that told me I needed new front brakes. I made an appointment with Rons Garage and they got my car in right away. They checked the brakes and did their complimentary 30 (or so) point inspection. 30 minutes later they brought me back to the garage to show me what they found. Turns out I wasnt even close to needing new brakes on my car. They couldve easily lied and agreed with the other shop...and I wouldve bought some new brakes from them. But they didnt because they are honest people. They did find an issue with my transmission during their inspection. I had recently had a new transmission put in my car, so took it back to the dealership who confirmed the issue and are in the process of repairing it. So not only are they honest, but their mechanics are smart! Finally, they told me up front that they would charge me for 0.25 hours of work to take a look at the car. After they looked at my car, showed me what they found, and were told that Id take my car to the dealership to get the transmission issue resolved, they waived the charge!I would highly recommend Rons garage for their honestly, intelligence, and quick service!

There is definitely a commitment to thoroughly review every detail of your vehicle. Employees are extremely knowledgeable, and will take as much time as you need in explaining all questions. Definitely a cut above the quickie places, while maintaining competitive prices. I will be back for future oil changes, and I will be back for routine maintenance and repairs. I got the distinct impression all mechanics were well-trained, thoughtful and honest in their work. Overall, a great experience, thank you Rons Garage! Highly recommended!
