Some pretty big issues! I do not feel like they overcharged. Sammi was great , had good communication & got everything done in a timely manner.

When he told me the engine needing replacement he actually said don’t bother if you not making payments on the car but I am so he got right to work. He found an engine quickly and made sure I understood everything that was going on. Even more impressive was the turn around! Less than a week (with one day being Sunday) and I was back on the road. And even texted a few days later to make sure everything was going great

Comment: My 2019 Ford Escape engine got hot, which put me on the side of the road in a snow storm. Towed it to my mechanic who looked at it and found that the needed repairs could not be done at his place. My mechanic indicated this was the one engine model of three his place could not take on. He recommended Redford Auto in Westlnd. Called them spoke to Sammie who listened to my predicament of one car, very much needed to get to job, Fri Sat and Sun, because we were short staffed. He towed it in, reviewed my mechanics assessment agreed it was what was needed. They got to work on it Fri AM, couldnt quite finish Fri but by mid morning Sat it was up and running. Job was finished at the quoted estimate. Car is running good as new! Would recommend this repair shop!

Comment: Wow! I have never had a better service experience than Redford Auto Repair. It’s the one in Garden City on Ford Road. There are a few locations so, I want to make sure that this is the place that gets their recognition. I don’t think I have ever done a review before but, I was just so impressed. When Steve called the supplier, he was informed that their drivers had all gone home for the day. So, Steve jumped in his own truck and drove over there personally to pick up the parts himself. He brought me into the garage to personally show me the defects. They did not pitch any other services to me, they only focused on my actual problem. Steve and the guys fixed up my car within a day, even though I brought it in on a Saturday around 2pm (they close at 3 on Saturdays). The work ethic these guys have is above and beyond even what I expected, and I have a high personal standard myself. Their workmanship and promptness and work ethic alone would justify higher costs but, the most pleasant surprise was the price. It was transmission work and I thought for sure it would be expensive. The cost was FAAAARR below what I had anticipated. This is the place I will be going to for any service I need done in the years to come. I can not say enough good things about Redford Auto Repair in Garden City on Ford Road but, this review is becoming too long. If you need work done on your vehicle, try Redford Auto Repair in Garden City, you will not be disappointed. Thank you Steve and your crew!!!

Comment: One dreary day I wandered in with my headlights completely out. I assumed they needed to be swapped out. I also asked to have my brakes looked at because they were very loud and annoying. Turned out my fuse box was janky and my brakes and calibers were too.Not only did they fix these issues but apparently they gave me some new tires so I dont find my death in the Michigan winter.And so I say, thank you to Redford Auto for saving me money and keeping my best interest in mind.Theyre the best!!❤

Comment: This place is great. I own a drag mustang with over $25000 in parts alone that me and my father built and my father was well trained in vehicles. But these guys knew everything they looked at what it was, how my father and me rigged it why it was rigged that way, as well as gave me advice on what parts should be upgraded that theres updated versions of and/or just plain better now. And it was brought in for a (what I figured wiring issue or a blown headgasket) so they didnt have to do any of that or advise me on anything else. No they were not even trying to sell me on anything because what I have works great and what they suggested I can do myself, they genuinely know what they are looking at even on modified cars and care about the car and its condition even if its something that isnt gonna make them money. Also have amazing customer feedback. They call with every update even if its just to let you know how its going. Not trying to sell anything or get extra work. I been to places that barely know what they are doing with my car and try to get abunch of extra work and I usually just pick it up and leave. These guys are just diffrent. Highly recommend this place. These guys know what they are doing, looking at, saying, and recommending. 10/10 will return with any vehicle I ever have again if I should need to.

He is great at handling customers concerns and made me feel comfortable leaving my baby there after the incident.The situation: I bought my new Beetle in because some jerk broke the passenger mirror in the Walmart parking lot (hit and run) day two of ownership. I called One Stop and Joe said it was no problem for me to bring my own part as I knew where to get them at a discount. I dropped it off with the part and when I went to pick up my car the mechanic had broken the door speaker mount (a tiny plastic piece) while installing the mirror. I alerted them to this as they hadnt noticed. After some discussion, and a few finger points, they said they would order the parts and replace it. A few days later they had it done. Although I wish theyd told me before I found the problem myself I do appreciate them fixing the mistake. Check repairs before leaving the lot, as you would anywhere else.

Just like any other Auto shop there in the business to make money but most importantly there in the business to help people. Brought my car in becuase I thought I had a cracked exhaust manifold and they put it on the car jack and cranked it up and turns out it wasn’t cracked. They didn’t charge me a penny to take a look at it!! Turns out it was the wheel bearing and they got me a good part, price and got me in and out in a timely manner. Of course it happened late on a Friday night so we were sure it would not get fixed until Monday and neither me nor my boyfriend are car people. Called Saturday morning said they would be happy to take a look and see what they could do. Took my 2005 Ford Escape in; they literally found the problem in 5 minutes and fixed literally within half an hour. Price was extremely reasonable (I had called other shops just to get a range if what I might be looking at) and not only did they fix the problem quickly they were the most reasonable price. Most importantly they did not treat me like a stupid woman and did not try to scam me at all. Redford Auto now has a customer for life!

Having said that Redford Auto repair (garden city) is the one and only auto shop i will ever go to they are absolutely amazing!!! Honestly I stopped in there on accident but couldnt be happier that i did they have fixed my car 3 well now 4 times in the last 4 weeks I think it was and each time they have given me great prices and fixed my car fast and good!! I had an Intake Manifold leak on my vehicle, reminding you, this is a already new manifold that was replaced back in January of 2016 by a different shop that is currently closed due to family death grief and money needed for the funeral. Well it is now November 2016.Went to 5 different shops. Other shops dianoss or solution, replace the entire Intake Manifold for $750 Labor $300 parts. Also one shop wanted to keep my vehicle for 1 whole day. Well I call this shop here, He gave me a labor price over the phone of $288 and included price to dianoss the problem which was only $40. So I went out to autoparts store, purchased new Intake Manifold, (which is still under warrenty from autoparts store BTW)Mechanic pulls it in the shop, the problem they found was, a failed rubber plastic boot that failed, not the Intake Manifold.Total cost all together was only $40. That was to dianoss the problem. So out of all shops this was the only shop that was honest to me. Autoparts store didnt sell the part seprate from the Intake Manifold which is why, most shops wanted to replace the entire Intake Manifold and charge so much.He could of did what most shops do. Lie to get extra money. But this guy here saved me alot of money and alot of time. Instead, the plastic piece was removed from the new Intake Manifold I purchase that same day from the autoparts store (still under warrenty from autoparts store) and placed on my 8 month Intake Manifold that was installed back in winter of 2016. Old piece was place on the new Intake Manifold and returned to autoparts store for a full refund.So even if the Intake Manifold was crack, I would only be spending $288 larbor. Prices are very resonable as well

Comment: I came in three times, three different days looking for an oil change and the first two days she told me that itd be a long wait and I should try later. I appreciated that instead of being left to wait and hope that theyd do my car. Today, I came in and she said they were busy but since it was my third time in she pushed my oil change to the top and it was done in about 20 minutes. Lovely lady, lovely place. Also, they put in the memo area that my cars name is Sally and that really made me happy. 👍🏼

Comment: Stopped in for radiator leak a year ago and glad I did as I use them for all my repairs. They are reasonably priced, quick service, and occasionally come in under their estimate.

Comment: Fast and friendly service. Belle Tire quoted me for breaks pads and rotors all around on my car a few a front axle. When Redford completed an inspection they found that my rear breaks were fine and had 70% life left. They did the work cheaper than anyone else and saved me money by not selling me things I dont need.

Since, Ive gone in for more oil changes and some fairly extensive work on my front end $900.Owner was awesome as always. Shopped around to get me the best prices on parts and had the car done in 24 hours.

Comment: I just had some work done here (Sept 2015) recently and they were awesome. I feel like I got a fair price and the gentleman behind the counter, Ken, made me feel very comfortable. I am sometimes picky when it comes to this kind of thing and if it doesnt feel right I dont like to do it, but I am very satisfied. They report to car fax, and there is a 1yr warranty in work that they do. I did not feel ripped off, which is sometimes a rare thing for a single female looking to get car work done. I previously used Belle Tire, and while their customer service was fine, I felt like it was more expenaive and had less of that smaller local, hey whats up man, how ya been kind of feel. While I was there several people came in for routine work and Ken seemed familiar with most of them. ken said that they had two guys working on my car at the same time to get it done for me the same day. I will definitely be going back to see them the next time I need anything done on my car.

Comment: Excellent service! I needed an Oil Change - they changed the oil, filter, and recycled the old oil for $20 in total, and they did it all in 15 minutes. I will definitely go back when I need another!
