Comment: I made an appointment for an oil change on a Sunday at the Pep Boys I usually go to but they called late Friday afternoon saying they were going to be closed on Sunday. So, I found this Pep Boys location and made an appointment for Sunday expecting them to call to cancel as well. To my delight, they were open when I went by and they provided excellent and quick service! I definitely recommend this location for oil changes!

Comment: I went into this store because I got a flat tire, I didnt know what to do and saw the sign so I pulled in. I was immediately helped and taken care of. They put my spare tire on so quickly so I could get back on the road for work, they were so nice and didnt take advantage at all! Comment: I went to the pep Boys on Grandriver and 8mile in Farmington Hills. To purchase a battery from the service department they were very helpful and polite and they had the best price. I would recommend them its not the first time Ive used them bought that battery and it lasted 4 years, when my other car vehicle battery had to be replaced after 3yrs and it was supposed to be the better battery...after this purchase Im looking forward to another worry free 4yrs with this battery.

Comment: Josh at this location helped me get my tires and wheels on a Sunday, and helped another customer right after me with a tire patch. I had come in from Walmart tire center, and the other customer came from Sams. Neither of us had got help at our appointments at the other stores. Staff is friendly and is a relaxed environment, so waited here while they worked. Never going anywhere else first again. Edited to add: the customer *before me* came back to the store and brought the tire center employees a pizza for lunch.

They offered frequent checkins over the phone, a mobile app where you could track progress, and fair pricing. I didnt feel like I was getting ripped off, which is rare for the mechanic business. I had went to some other place to get my oil change and they said that they could fix my heat so they did a diagnostic test and told me that I needed this part. It was the wrong part. I went to Pep Boys to get tires and asked them to check out to see why i wasnt getting any heat. They fixed the problem and now I have HEAT. Comment: I stopped by the Farmington hills store for a tire repair. At first I was told they didnt have time as one tech was leaving and the other had cars in front me. I told them there was nothing else open and a flat would leave me stranded. They agreed to do the repair but if I need a tire I would have to wait until tomorrow. After inspection they told me I need a new tire. The tech stayed late and got me back on the road with a new tire. Great job to the whole staff.

Comment: I arrived at 3:45 and left at 6:15 with a new set of tires. Im glad my patience was up and they thanked me for that. Overall, I was pleased that they were able to service my car on a Sunday when I could not locate any other places open near me. I can only rate them 4 stars instead of the 5 because I cant understand why the wheel lock was broken and I had to purchase another set.

Comment: Ive been going to 8 mile pep boys ever since they open on 8 mile and grand river. The best one of my best friends work there now as one of the staff managers. I will always go to the 8 mile, and I live on 12 mile and Evergreen.The whole staff is so helpful and knowledgable of what ever needs

Comment: John and Oscar were my guardian angels tonight. Tire was almost flat and it was closing time 10 p.m.They took care of my flat tire with a smile and invited me back as their mechanic. I love that they have longer hours than your traditional auto repair shop, so I am generally able to get my car back same or next day. Check’em out! Comment: Wanted to thank Sean and all the folks help me get home. I fell victim to the Detroit roads late Saturday night on my home to Western PA so had to stay in town for another night and hope that there would be a service shop open on Sunday. I called Pep Boys as soon as they opened Sunday morning and was told theyd love to help but didnt have the tire size I needed but one of there other local stores did and told me if I can get the tires theyd get them on for me and help me get home. Was able to use my sons car who was living in the area to go get the tires and want to give a big thanks to Rally for helping me he was swamped when we got there but made sure to make my experience a great one. Got back to the hotel we staying at and drove with 2 flat run flat tires 15 miles and made it the run flats worked as they are said to was hoping to never find that out but now kinda glad I did, got the tires to Sean he said no worries well get you home. Went to lunch came back and Sean asked if I had a special tool to get my tire off and honestly couldnt remember and we couldnt find it but Sean and the guys didnt give up they figured out how to get my tires off get the new ones on and get me home!!!!! I really appreciate the guys helping to get me home and never telling me know and always finding away to say yes and get it done for me. I highly recommend these guys they helped a tired worn out and beat up guy and his son get home....!

Comment: Went 2/7/18 to get an inspection on my steering and suspension because i was having steering issues with my 2002 escape the inspection cost me $20 and they informed me about everything that was wrong and quoted me the price for parts and labor to fix my car. My front sway bars and front control arms were replaced and I got a wheel alignment It cost me about 560 and some change which I was happy with.I cant be any happier with the service done to my car I cant believe my car was in such bad shape, thank you.Also this was my only and first visit to any pep boys and it was great.

Comment: They have been repairing at least 5 of my cars over the years. Never had a problem and pricing was always accurate, competitive and fair. I will continue doing business at the Farmington store. I even walked in one day with my mothers broken wheelchair to see if they had any idea on how to fix it. They took it right in and had it repaired in a half hour. Not only did they fix it better than new, they refused to take any money for the repair.

Comment: I wanted to comment on the service I have always gotten from J. D. who works at this location. As a female, we sometimes feel that we are treated differently because people expect for us to not be knowledgeable in reference to auto issues. J. D. at Pep Boys has always put me at ease with whatever services my car needs. I always check with my Dad before I take my car in and he will check it first and give me some insight into what the mechanic should say. Not only are he and J. D. always on the same page with what is going on, J. D. makes sure that I understand everything before I agree to having the work done. He is professional, polite and is very knowledgeable and a great person to interact with. I feel that he is always honest with me about my auto needs.

Comment: Once again, Adam and the guys at Pep Boys did a great job of fixing my van. The check engine light had been on for a while so i took it in to have it checked out. They found a bad oxygen sensor, replaced it and had me back on the road in know time at all. Always friendly and respectful of my vehicle. They cover the seat and floor mats so I never find grease in my van. And I always feel Ive gotten my moneys worth when I leave.Thanks Guys!
