Comment: I’ve been to this location twice for tire repairs, and on both occasions the experience has been great. Today I went in to drop off my fiancé’s tire which had a sizable nail in it. I planned to drop off and be on my way. Easy enough. However Jim, who was working at the time, took it upon himself to grab someone to assist on the spot for no charge. 5 minutes in and out. They were busy but went out of their way to quickly help. It was an unexpected gesture that was extremely appreciated. I would highly recommend giving this location your business.

Comment: Cant say enough good things about them. I had come in for a diagnosis on my brakes back in April. They quoted me for new rotors, brakes, and 2 tires and even took me in the back to show me the wear on my car. I had said I wanted to wait because of the cost and finally came back today. Was able to call and get in on the same day. They were also ok with adding in an oil change and AC check. I stayed in the lobby the whole time and they updated me throughout. They also went over every cost before proceeding so I could give it my ok.

Service is fast, and done right. Their prices are competitive, and they often offer big money saving coupons deals on certain services. Comment: I got my tires done a few weeks ago and let me tell you, out of all of the places I have been related to cars, this pep boys crew really helped me out. Jim was my guy the whole time, I had a flat tire and needed my tires done by a certain time on super short notice and they got everything all set within a few hours! And got my car back an hour earlier than they had said! They do fast and efficient work and so I really appreciate you guys ❤️ Coming back this Saturday to get my breaks done. Comment: I went their for a real good 4-for-price-of-2 Cooper tire deal they were offering during black Friday. I talked to Chet(?) there beforehand when trying to decide on which tires to get. He was very helpful over the phone. He said that tire changes usually take 30~45 min., and that I could come in around 3pm to have it done. I came in late around 3:30. I was waiting, as I didnt have a way to do drop off. My car didnt end up getting done until 6:15 (after they closed), so I wasnt very happy about the wait time. However, they were very helpful with explaining the tire tread of my old tires, and replaced a tail light that was out no extra charge, so I thought that was nice of them. Overall good experience - though I would double confirm what time your vehicle will be done with them before-hand.

They confirmed that all the extras the other place wouldve charged me hundreds of dollars for, were completely not needed. I have only dealt with Pep Boys since and couldnt be happier. In a couple hours they called me back saying that there was just a cover/flap loose under my car that was making all the noise, and they just had to zip tie up for me. Free of charge! I came in to get my car and the charge was $120 for diagnosis on steering and check engine light. They gave me $10 off and told me no work was done. However when I got in my car all the noises were gone and the issues were fixed. So its hard to properly explain when they dont tell you the right information.

Chet was INCREDIBLE, he eased our anxieties and took such good care of us. The price was way better than other places we called. Bryant has worked at different locations for Pep Boys through the years. He was at the Pep Boys located at Grand River at 8 mile Rd in the city of Farmington,Michigan, where he took excellent care of my son vehicle, my daughter vehicle and my old 95 Astro van. After years he was transferred to their Roseville location on Gratiot near 10mile Rd.Bryant being the Certified mechanic that he, unknowingly took a quite a few customers from their Farmington location to their Rosevilles location, including my son and his wife, my daughter and her husband along with her in-laws and friends including my husband and myself. Well, Bryant is now at Pep Boys located at 14 Mile Rd., about 2 miles east of Woodward Ave., in Clawson, Michigan, where he has brought his expertise and many of his loyal customers including my family and friends.I would highly suggest this Pep Boys for all your vehicles needs and by all means let the expertise of Bryant do the work, you wont be disappointed.Glad to have Bryant for our mechanic. 👍

Comment: We blew a tire on our boat trailer on 75N. Chiate manager of this pep boys walked us through what I need to do to get job done safely. He gave a great deal on 2 new tire & rims. After getting the tire on off the side of the highway. Chiate waited for us to bring the trailer back to his location and inspected, installed the second tire and rim and torqued both. Hero in disguise as I couldn’t get the trailer back to their location until after 5 PM which everyone’s gone home and the manager waited behind until I got there and did all the work itself. Comment: I lease my car so my only responsibility is to get my tires rotated and oil changed and let me tell you how much I dread this experience when it is time.I went to several oil change places that said they could not rotate the tires on my 2017 Ram because it is too heavy.I was desperate and at this point just wanted to go somewhere I could get an appointment and was close to home. I went to this Pep Boys in Clawson not expecting much.I was totally wrong and was surprised by the most pleasant experience catered to me by Jim. Jim was so friendly and kind when I checked in. I asked him how long it would take for him to do the oil change/tire rotation because it was 10am and I had to be somewhere at noon. He looked at me confused and said 30-45 minutes.I didnt believe him as Ive gone to do oil changes for so long that took 1-2 hours because of the lack of customer service so I asked him if he was sure and he smiled and said yes.I came back 30 minutes later after walking to the local grocery store to pick up a few things still skeptical, but Jim said Youre all set. Let me tell you how incredibly happy I was to be done with something that is the worst chore on my list.The staff there was so friendly, the place was clean, the work was efficient. My truck was in the same condition I left it, even better because of the oil change and tire rotation.Jim cashed me out and made the transaction as smooth as possible.Its safe to say I found my new oil change place and I could not be happier.

Comment: I recommend this shop. They do a hard right instead of an easy wrong. Story time: They could have easily taken advantage of the little situation I was in. I had a visible nail in the tire. John just pulled the nail out of the tire, sprayed some water on it and handed me back the keys. No charge. He said there was no damage done. Thank you for being honest.

Comment: As a female, getting maintenance on your vehicle is a nightmare. I am always fearing higher prices and getting taken advantage of since I really dont know anything about cars. I took my car to a local tire/repair shop and they quoted me for every little thing you could imagine. For a second opinion, I took my car to Phil Cavills tire and auto. I immediately felt comfortable with the employees that they could be trusted with telling me what truly needed to be repaired for my safety rather than just to get money out of me. They found a really important issue that was affecting my safety that the first shop didnt even check. They told me what was needed immediately and also told me what would be needed within a few months. The repairs were finished within a very reasonable amount of time and they welcomed me back for anything I might need in the future. Phil Cavills tire and auto is 30 minutes from my house but is worth the drive. Im happy to say Ive found my forever auto service center for me and my family.

Comment: I want to thank Phil and his crew for such prompt, excellent service! We were in from out of town for 2 weeks leading up to the Woodward Dream Cruise and purchased a 1968 Ford Fairlane just 10 days before the cruise. The car broke down on Woodward on the Wednesday before the cruise and the tow truck driver recommended Phils so we had the car taken there and dropped off, left a note with the keys and dropped them into the slot. Even though the shop was full of flood vehicles from the massive rain storm days earlier, our car was diagnosed first thing Thursday morning and fixed the same day (at a reasonable price) so that we could pick it up! We sure appreciated the priority service!! Unfortunately the car developed another issue on Thursday when we drove it and it was again towed to Phils, left in the lot and by the time we could call on Friday, the mechanics had already looked at it to let us know what was wrong. This time it was a larger problem, the transmission, and though Phils quoted us a very reasonable price to fix it, we elected to have the car brought back to us in Arizona to fix. Thank you Phil and team, we would not hesitate to use your services again when visiting. I wish that we could find this type of service in Arizona!
