Comment: I moved out of the area about 2 years ago, and when I was back in town for a family event this past March, the head gasket blew on my sister’s car that I was driving.I reached out to a local friend and they recommended Northeast Auto to me.Since I no longer live in the area, I actually had to fly back home (to a different state) the same day and leave the car behind while Brett and his team did the inspection and diagnosis.We worked with Brett over the phone to get estimates on different options and he explained all of our options thoroughly. He answered all of our (many) questions, and he also advised us on the pros and cons of each option, gave us estimates, and gave us his recommendation for the best option based on the car’s condition.Ultimately we ended up scrapping the car since it had 268K miles on it, and we didn’t feel it was worth it to invest in a refurbished engine.Since I live in a different state, the Northeast Auto team managed the pick up with the junkyard on our behalf and mailed us the check afterwards.I cannot recommend Northeast Auto enough - please go here!!!The entire team is trustworthy and very knowledgeable, and as a woman that knows very little about cars, I was extremely comforted by the team’s willingness to explain everything and answer all of my questions. They were always kind and highly communicative.Trustworthy and amazing shop!!!

I was trying to diagnose the issue before I came in and thought I knew where the leak was coming from but Jason quickly found the problem which was much less severe than I thought and was able to quickly fix it. Wanted somewhere that was going to do the same kind of work that has kept this vehicle going at fair prices.I feel like they nailed it!I didnt shop around for quotes so its very possible somewhere might have done it cheaper. But I have my serious doubts that any discount place is going to be as competent. Based on my past experiences, their prices/labor costs are absolutely fair and a good value for a job done right!All the guys I interacted with seemed to like their job, know cars well, and most importantly for me... Understand that Im just trying to keep this thing alive. They gave me their professional opinion on what needed to happen, but also gave me the wiggle room for me to scrape by without doing an overhaul. Michigan winters... Salt... Its rough.Almost forgot to mention! Theyre the first place Ive been since my home base where they knew not to tell me about the faulty oxygen sensor. Can replace it but its just money down the drain because itll likely go bad again very quickly. Its an issue with the particular model of car I have. The fact that they saw the code and knew to ignore it shows a level of experience and knowledge that makes me seriously trust them.Michigan can honestly be brutal on cars but I trust these guys to help me get every last drop of life out of a car that I dont want to quit on.

I was staying in a house around the corner from the shop.I called and told them my problem( broken radiator hose and damaged pipe) Bret(co-owner) was very pleasant and understanding. He told me step by step what they would do and possible problems that could happen while fixing it VERY HONEST. Did the work quickly and I thought I was gona have to pay $$$$, however to my surprise it was waaaaay cheaper than I had worried about. Weve been taking our cars there for both routine and repair service for more years than I can remember. We have received excellent service every time. We learned about them because my wifes employer used them for their company vehicles. My wife is now retired - but, we still drive over to Northeast (12 miles each way) for service. Wouldnt go anywhere else.

They are far less expensive then any other place around. I met Wade about 10 years ago because two other places told me that I needed a $700 exhaust system. My neighbor told me to take it to Northeast. Took it up there and Wade said you just have a section of pipe that is bad and I can weld a new piece in. Cost was $80. That was honestly! Never gone anywhere else for anything since!

Comment: I backed into a rock with my wifes lease car that was set to be turned in less than a week later. The damage was pretty bad and, I wasted two days getting quotes at shops in Royal Oak and Warren. When I took my car into Northeast Auto I was warmly greeted by a dog and the owners wife. I explained the dilemma and was quoted an extremely fair price. I was told that it could take up to several days for the work to be completed due to the number of other repair jobs ahead of mine. When I dropped off the car the following morning, I had less than two days to have the car repaired. I was prepared to be the reason why my wife couldnt pick up her new car like she planned. Less than 24 hours later, I got a call telling me that I could pick up the car. I was shocked! When I went to pick up the car after work, I was told that the owner had worked on the car after ours to finish the job. I will never ever take my car anywhere else for repairs. Northeast Auto is the best! I know that my dilemma was insignificant in the grand scheme of things but, its really awesome when someone under promises and over delivers. Thank you Northeast Auto!
