Comment: Came here at the beginning of a winter to get my Catalytic Converter replaced. Porsche (/Volkswagen) uses flex joints on their exhaust that are known to break with time. The car sounded horrible and kinda was embarrassing to drive. I bought the new Catalytic converter off of ebay hoping I can replace it myself. But Michigan rust didnt help and the exhaust bolts were a pain to get to without a lift / heated garage.These guys were honest with the job, I understand how difficult doing something like this is and they charged a reasonable price (I would ask the same kinda money if I had to do this work to someone)They spent 2 days fixing the car and took care of all my concerns. At the end of the day, the car is as good as new and I can probably enjoy the car for much longer than I initially wanted to keep it. (I kinda wish I also had them do a muffler / resonator delete - because the car is extremely quiet now 😂) Im more than happy with their service tho. Anything that I cant fix myself, Ill bring it in to these guys.Suggest them for all your car fixes!

Comment: I had an exhaust problem on my Honda CRV a couple of months ago, dropped it off the night before after having a mechanic look at it. The next morning Sam looked the car over and came up with the same diagnosis/game plan as to what needed to be replaced. (Salvaging areas and parts that were still good) He did an honest evaluation, (not knowing I had already had a mechanic check the car over 1st) and a great job.! I would recommend him to friends and family. Thanks Sam! (I am bringing in another car this week as well, stay tuned for another review!) :)

Comment: I called to ask if I needed an appointment to bring my car in and Sam said, “Come on in today and we’ll take a look!” Sam Jr. was there and works in the garage but is awesome at front desk and customer service. I thought I’d have to schedule a future appt but an hour for a same day fix is all they needed. I live close and this place is always busy and for good reason. They know cars, they know who comes in and out of their shop and treat their customers with kindness and hospitality, and they don’t rip you off. My mom went to Muffler Man years ago and spoke so highly of them…turns out they’ve been here for 30 years so it’s the same great people that took care of her taking care of me and my car. Customer service, quality, affordability, & kindness are high on my list and this place checked em all off. My car was ready in 40 minutes, 20 minutes quicker!! And my car is back to her quiet, smooth self! I was so impressed I had to throw a high five to Sam Jr. and a huge thank you! This place…just go to this place for your car troubles!

Comment: After spending around $5000 bucks and 10 auto shops, muffler man was able to fix it. The problem was a cracking sound while acceleration. I did multiple inspection at golling toyota, changed my axles, bearings, bumpers. But it was not fixed. I went to Hamtramck shops, many of them. Finally Saeed at muffler man was able to fix that sound. He went above and beyond, tightened every screws in the car for over 3 days and fixed it. I appreciate the business with them

Comment: After hearing a noise in my car for a while, I had difficulty getting an appointment at my usual shop. Muffler Man was nearby, so I called. They said to come on over. I did! Very busy place. Everyone was busy working. Henry took my car for a spin, put it up in the air and diagnosed the problem in a matter of minutes. I didn’t even have to wait for an appointment. I dropped it off the next business day by 1:30. I was supposed to wait for my neighbor to get home from work & drive me to get it. Sam said, “I will come get you” And he did! My car was back hours before I had expected, I got all my chores done and avoided rush hour traffic. Most importantly, my 12 year old car is running like a dream!!! Comment: Firstly, I called up here because my muffler had broken in 2 spots, and the heat shield was knocked off. Sam was the man who answered my call, he was extremely friendly and said bring it up. Upon arriving he quickly got my car in a bay and showed me exactly what he was gonna do and how much it was gonna cost. We heard some squeaking coming from the engine prior to the car going up so he examined and noticed I had an almost ripped serpentine belt and basically seized pulleys. He said I will fix it no worry. Sam not only saved me from breaking down on the side of the road but also worked with me on a fair price. I would recommend him for anything. Comment: My exhaust was totally rusted through and only the muffler was salvageable - they were able to use that piece and then affix new piping and a new resonator, as well as make a custom mount to the bracket system for my car. They had the needed parts on hand, and the parts were welded together beautifully and solidly. It was quick, the service was super friendly, and the price was great. All in all, I am very satisfied - my car is virtually silent. Sam was awesome. Ill be coming here if any more car troubles face me! Great place!

Had my husband take it because I was at work, and he was in right away, had the muffler delete done and back out in right about an hour. The guys there knew exactly what we wanted and got right to it; there were a couple of other places we had asked about that didnt even know what we meant when we asked for a mid-muffler delete. Comment: First i would like to say that the 4 stars is more for the customer service then the work. Its hard for me to rate lower unless it was a terrible experience. I first brought my brand new mustang gt there to get a muffler delete. When i first got it done and left there was tons of rattling after 2 hours. I noticed that the hangers they made have already broke and needed to be redone. When i brought it there they quickly brought it in and made it right. no questions no arguing and it was great. My other downfall i had was who ever did the work they knicked my rear sway bar pretty good when they cut off the old mufflers. I was pretty upset but since it wasnt a huge cut i am not going to cause issues. My biggest expectation is i would want them to replace my sway bar for getting it cut in the process but i know that will never happen. I hope when i come here down the road i continue to get good service

Comment: Charged $40 to remove two press fit studs from my midpipe. Took about 5 minutes using a torch and an air hammer. Seems over-priced. However the service was great and I walked in and out in under 20 minutes. Also there may be something to be said for the odd-job I went in for. I doubt its a common request and he really just threw a price out there so maybe he wouldve been a little flexible with it? Cant say, didnt argue, I just wanted those things out.

Comment: I like to wait for a bit before reviewing to see how the work stands up. So far the custom exhaust they did for me was awesome, and their staff was extremely friendly. I got to witness a guy walk into their shop and try to tell them how to do their job which was pretty entertaining as he was clearly wrong and referencing YouTube videos. Overall great experience and I love my exhaust. Only complaint is I didnt get an X or H pipe put in (small connection between dual exhaust) as I wasnt as educated on the topic as I thought, wish they would have suggested it as its super popular. Not worth paying another labor fee. But that was my mistake so I cant ding them for it, just make sure you know what you want beforehand.

I came in the next week to take off the rear mufflers and again they were very prompt. No wait times, very good service. I currently 06/26/2017 have my vehicle in this shop and Sam along with his crew went above and beyond to insure I understood what was needed, the cost to do the work and even offered me a ride home If I didnt want to wait. His pricing is in line with suggested internet pricing as one person referred to, so from what I see is they wanted something for nothing! There are not a lot of places I trust in workmanship, pricing and HONESTY for the Safety of myself and family. Comment: Sam has been our mechanic for over 9 years and has always been good priced and very helpful (swear to god) haha Sam. We always return to Muffler Man whether it be a wiper blade or an electrical problem to wheel bearings. Comment: Friendly, fast and efficient. And best of all honest. The super long and salty winter caused my new brakes to get too rusty by spring and the Muffler Man made good and cleaned all the rust off etc and my car feels new again. Have you ever heard of a place actually honouring a warrantee on brakes before! Very impressed! Thanks again.

Comment: I went to get my strut replaced because it was loose. They offer a fair price and are very fast and thorough with their repairs. They give suggestions but dont shove them down your throat like A LOT of other mechanics do. Very friendly as well. Give this place a shot- you will be pleased:-)

Comment: I love this place. The staff is highly knowledgeable and professional. This place is quick, fast, and gets you in and out without delay. I have been going here for years with all of my vehicles and have sent all my friends and family here as well. I am no car guy by any means and I have never been taken advantaged of. The staff works with you in terms of cost and time. They always look at your car for free and make sure they completely inform you with what is wrong. They never try to hustle you on extra parts, labor, etc. Sam is the employee I like most, he is honest and good at what he does. I honestly will never go anywhere else. I always have an amazing experience here and they never fail to get me back on the road in a timely manor. This places rocks. If you do not go here for your car issues then I feel bad for your poor decisions. go here, you wont regret it.
