Comment: I was truly impressed with the service! I had an idea what the main issue I went in for was, which they did confirm and diagnosed what else was happening, no big surprise. But overall wait time was fair for the services I had done. I felt that the courtesy inspection and tire rotation was top notch and through. It was well worth the wait and price of the oil change. Comment: I give Monro Auto 5 stars and def recommend because they go above and beyond. The costumer service here is the absolute best. They don’t charge you for things they don’t have to like some money hungry places and I really respect that. I had my car towed there to get looked at due to my engine being locked. Because I couldn’t drive it home they gave me more than enough time to come and get my car without rushing me to get it out of their way. When me and my Dad showed up to tow the car home we couldn’t get it onto the trailer after numerous times of trying to push it up the ramp. William came out and helped us get it up there while they were short handed and busy because he saw us struggling. Because he did that it saved me almost $100 on another tow to get it home. That meant a lot to me because for one he didn’t have to do that and two I had already spent almost all of my money on trying to get another car on the road. That’s all on top of him not charging me because indeed my engine was locked. If you want honest and friendly service, staff that’ll go above n beyond for you, take your car here, their prices beat most places. Thanks again William! Your help was much appreciated!

Theyve gone above and beyond for me on multiple occasions. On one occasion the manager stayed after hours so that I could pick up my vehicle that day. On another occasion he walked me through how to perform a specific type of maintenance on my car so that I could learn myself. Would definitely recommend them if you need work done by an auto shop in Grand Rapids.

Comment: Heard a grinding noise in my back breaks, I just relocated 8 months ago, and with Covid, I hadnt had an opportunity to find a solid auto shop. However, I figured it didnt matter where I was, I was lookingglooking forward to sitting in a car repair shop for hours then be upsold all these things I probably didnt need and swindled and gauged out of hundreds. Not Monro, I made an appointment online, brought my car in, they checked it out (10-15min) the lobby was super clean, empty and I felt safe. It took about 10 min, he even brought one of us back there to look, he then explained the price which was around what I knew breaks and rotors to costs, no price gauging or upselling. He told me that it would take an hour or so and we were welcome to wait in lobby, I agreed, and proceeded to wait, however it only took 20 min out the door. What a pleasant experience I will definitely be back, Unfortunately, I do not have any friends yet, but if I did, ide highly recommend! I wish I could remember the mechanic who was working that day, Unfortunately, I do not, but it was Wednesday morning 12/2/2020.

Comment: A couple of months ago in a Sunday my tire blew out on the side of the highway. Monroe was the only place open and I needed a tire so I could make it to work. They got me in and out within an hour! They ended up putting the wrong size tire on so the next time I came back they replaced that tire again for me at no charge. Today I needed a valve stem replaced and they just did it for me at no charge! Thanks guys!

They found the issue quickly and were honest about how much they thought it would cost to fix but I wasnt sure the vehicle was worth fixing. They were patient with me leaving my car there while i figured out my options. When I came back to pick it up, the battery was dead. They were extremely helpful, even to the point of going to their own cars and getting a box to jump my car. That car is gone but I will continue using them with my new vehicle. They have always fixed my cars completely and cheaper than other places.

Comment: I was very impressed by the customer service I received. My GMC Terrain was in need of new brake pads and rotors, but I was not particularly familiar with the process. The manager, John, was friendly and insightful and made me feel comfortable with the repairs needed. I was able to take advantage of a great deal they were running and left the shop with all 4 sets of pads and rotors replaced for a very reasonable price. The service technician gave me some great pointers regarding the new pads as well. I brought the vehicle in, had it diagnosed, and had the replacements done on all 4 wheels in a total of less than 3 hours. To me, that is fantastic turnaround on a walk-in appointment. I have been turned away from competitors even when I just need tires rotated because “I didn’t have an appointment”. Not these guys though! 5 stars all the way around.

I was greeted by tye technician i dropped my car and keys and left i promptly received a phone call with an estimate for my repairs which was very reasonable. Comment: Great service with a smile. I came in to have a inspection done on my brakes because of squeaking. The manager Craig told me it wasnt and a service tech explain why it wasnt the brakes. I went in to get my U-joints replace and I having to replace my driveshaft (rear) because the manager Craig said somone that replaced the U-joint before did not do a good job. Craig did show me why. I was in and out in a hour and fourty minutes. The techs and manager was vary respectful and explainable to me.

Comment: Ive been going to Monro for almost 3 years now. I moved from Kalamazoo to Grand Rapids recently, and had to change Monros. I am so happy I did! This place is amazing. The owner is always in the store, super happy and helpful. They do the job quick, thoroughly, and cheaply. I never have to worry about my car when I take it here.

Comment: On Feburary 8th I went to Monro for Brakes. I was blown away. Everytime I go to an automotive repair shop I feel like I am getting hustled. I have never been to Monro and found Brent to be very informative. He explained everything in detail and helped me to understand what was going on with my brakes.I was very happy to have found this place. I felt welcomed not pressured. They even had a woman technician! I am definitely bringing my car here from now on! Thanks Monro!

Had a small problem with the brake light still on, but after another day of sleuthing, they fixed it and made everything right by me. Thanks Brent!

They were super awesome, the mechanic (Im sorry, I cant remember his name) showed me where my problem was in my exhaust and they quoted the part and labor for me. Comment: Yesterday on 5/11/17, I called in the morning to see if they could check out my wheel bearing. Brent was so nice on the phone and was very honest. I told them Id be in between 12-2pm and when I showed up, they got my car in promptly to be seen. Of course I did have to wait for a couple people ahead of me- just like any other business! Danielle told and SHOWED me what was wrong and was given an estimate. They were able to do the repair very quickly and were nice enough to take me to my house and pick me up when done. Comment: My 2002 Saturn broke down on me. The tired rod was broke and it needed a new coil and strut. My daughters graduation is in a couple days and they originally quoted me about $486+ tax. I told the repairman that was way over what I could afforded. He told me to hold on and recalculated the price and dropped it down to $415 out the door for me. He took off a hour worth of labor. I cried when I went in and paid for it. I was glad they were compassionate given that I am a single mom. Would definitely use their service again and recommend a friend.
