Comment: This past Saturday which was October 1,2022 I had a horrible experience with an oil change place literally right down the street from monro auto service. Long story short one of the young gentleman had broke the stem off my tire and my tire went completely flat. They had no clue how to get my spare tire on and I didn’t even get my oil change. I called monro and they said they could help me out, by the time I was done and could get my car to monro it was closing time at 5. Derek who was working said hurry and come on in I’ll take care of you! Which he did 🙏🏼 I got here right at 5. He not only fixed my tire in no time he also didn’t charge me bc of the situation I went through. I was in tears! Happy tears bc there are still caring people in this world. He could tell I was frustrated! He went above and beyond and stayed later at work to help me out and I will be forever grateful. Thank you Derek and your team! Blessing to you and your family and the crew for helping me out. I will go there from here on out!

My ball joint/control arm “went out” on i-196 and I had to stop quick, and after a few shops turned me down, Rory got me in despite being overbooked and short staffed. He and the other mechanic got the parts, replaced everything and performed the alignment in about 5 hours for much less than the original estimate. Great, friendly service and I will be back for all of my car care needs!

Called around to all the tire places and no one could get us in and keep us on our route home. We called Monroe and spoke to a man named Rory who said he could get us in right away! And when we asked what the total was, he said ‘just pay it forward!!’ Absolutely 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

Comment: The place is a lot different than the previous ownership. Generally good work,.. have had all my vehicles serviced at this location for one thing or another. Oil changes, Brakes, some engine work, and tires. I cant say much but prices did change under the Monro leadership. Its a good shop for its type and we dont have enough independent garages as Michigan once had. --Give them a call give it a try make your own decision.

Comment: My husband had his truck towed to the shop. Come to find out he just needed a new battery even thought it was testing fine! When my husband arrived to pick up his truck the mechanic was very honest and stated he had accidentally broke the starter and fix it on his own dime. We are very appreciative of the honestly. I have not seen that kind of respect at an auto shop. He could have told us after looking at the truck more the starter was bad as well. Instead, he owned up to his mistake. We have gone to a few mins places in Jenison for repairs and I can say we will not being going to any other place from here on out! Great job guys! .

Comment: Awesome service! I made an appt for a Sunday (they are the only ones open on the weekend!) to drop my car off to get 2 tires looked at. The gentleman who helped me, cannot remember his name, but is an Army Veteran told me they only had 2 people working that day but would give my car undivided attention. He said they would try and patch the tires if possible and told me if that works, to wait a couple weeks till they had a tire sale going on then get those two replaced. He didnt have to do that, but he did! He was able to patch my tires-and didnt even charge me! You can bet I will be back at the tire sale to get them replaced! I hope Monro appreciates their excellent worker they have there! I have always found their employees to be helpful and kind. Thank you Army Veteran for helping me yesterday and for your integrity and good work! Thank you Monro for being open on weekends for your community!

I was received with courtesy , the person I dealt with, Michael ,was knowledgeable and got my vehicle in quickly. Any problems such as broken parts or other things were explained to me, I was continually informed of how my job was progressing. The work done was explained to me and any questions I had were answered quickly and to my satisfaction. I will Very Definately come back to Monro for other services my vehicles may need.

Comment: Wonderful Experience! First off, making an appointment was easy using Monros on-line scheduling. I took my car to the Battle Creek Monro Auto Service Center for diagnosis/repair of an intermittent no starting issue. They tested the codes and checked EVERY mechanical issue that might have caused this. They asked to keep the car over night to do more testing as no cause was showing up. Finally diagnosed cause as bad fuel and recommended Seafoam a $12 over the counter gas tank additive to clear issues caused by the bad fuel. I really appreciated the time and care given my car and the fact I wasnt charged one cent for this thorough diagnostic check.I was also impressed by how patient the staff were in answering my questions and listening to my description of the problem. Brian and Mike were great to work with.Being an older lady, I am not an expert on car repair issues and trust professionals in this field to fix only what is required. This is exactly what Monro did for me!Based on this experience I will be taking all my future auto service work to the Battle Creek Monro Auto Service Center. I recommend them highly to anyone needing car repair service. Susan Ruggles

The people that work there have always treated me and my vehicles with great respect. From Chris and Phil who no longer work there to Brian the present manager and Mike a mechanic , who have all gone above and beyond in there service . From giving me a ride home while they worked on my vehicles then picking me up when the work was completed or if I just pull in with a tire with low air pressure they come out call me by my first name and take care of my problem. I have always taken my families vehicles to them and will always continue to do so .The staff and the service is fantastic and I am very glad to be a customer of Monros located at 1249 w Columbia in Battle Creek.

Comment: The guys at Monro Auto are absolutely wonderful! I keep having little issues pop up with my car and these guys are always extremely helpful, full of technical knowledge and tell you exactly how it is. They dont try to persuade you into buying things you dont need or rattle off tons of issues just to get you to spend more.They are also a great resource for a second opinion as well. Ive told them about other recommendations/fixes from other places and they have politely pointed out how and WHY those were incorrect and wouldnt fully fix the issue at hand. It is definitely worth booking an appointment with these guys and waiting a little longer to get your car seen by them specifically than it is to go last minute somewhere else!P.S. During a service to fix a hole in my tire, they found that a toad somehow got stuck in my brakes 🤮... it took a little while to clean, but they were sweet enough to clean up the entire mess for me!! Comment: I took my car in because my tire pressure sensor failed and they figured out which one and would repair it. They also did a visual diagnostic on my car and determined my left front control arm had a bad ball joint. The repair would include a tire balancing and wheel alignment which made sense. They also identified other service issues needed based on my cars mileage. I found previous records, but was in need of a brake fluid flush. Since they would work on my car over the weekend, I would be good to go for work come Monday. When the approved work was completed, a test ride was performed...they heard the front end clunk I had been dealing with but NO other shop could find. They determined it was my stabilizer bushing and quickly purchased and replaced that part. I am happy to report that Tony and Ryan went the extra step to help me maintain my 2009 Chrysler in top mechanical condition. It is now clunk free. thanks all at Monro Auto Service from a happy customer.

Comment: These guys are fantastic. I live in Ohio, but was stranded in Grand Rapids with car trouble. I took the car to a dealership that told me I needed the dreaded head gasket. Everything they told me didn’t seem right, so I went to Monro Auto in Jenison. There, the mechanics CORRECTLY diagnosed my car as needing a new water pump. But here’s where they really went above and beyond. Ford engineered my 2014 Ford Taurus in such a way that a water pump change required that I take it it to a pricey Ford dealership for repair. (The Ford dealership that fixed the car in Ohio confirmed this). Well, guess what, Ford, the guys at Monro Auto in Jenison aren’t as greedy as you! Although they had invested many hours and two days to figure out the real problem, they would not let me pay for the diagnosis despite my insistence. They were extraordinarily compassionate to my situation. Thank you, Monro! Thanks to you, I was able to drive the car home and get it fixed there.

They called me after checking my car out to tell me they would not recommend replacing the brakes right now because the other problem I was having was related to the transmission. Comment: A friend recommended Monro to me to get my exhaust fixed. I went in to get an estimate on what it would cost and they did it for free. I came back about a week and a half later with a coupon they sent me in the mail for 15% off my estimate. The estimated total was supposed to be around $267 and it ended up only being $201. As a college student that price made me a lot happier! About three weeks later I started to hear a very faint noise coming from what I recognized as the exhaust and so I brought it in again. The guy told me that I must have very good ears because they spent 30 minutes looking for the tiny spot, which they finally found at the top that needed to be rewelded. So they rewelded it for free and told me I was all set. I highly recommend Monro for anything car related. Theyre very nice people and they have your best interest at heart. Theyre not a business that is going to sell you parts that you dont need. I am very satisfied!
