As everyone knows, a good shop is ALWAYS BUSY, I know it and have needed to always make an appointment for needed work. BUT this time I had and emergency....my front brakes locked up on way home from work. I took it straight to Mike Ks to get it looked at. Kevin told me what I expected, We will get to is ASAP....BUT there are other cars inline for repair...Let me see what I can doWell, he called back the following morning BEFORE Lunch, told me the issue and said he could have it done THAT DAY....Freaking Unheard of!!!! They are very accommodating, have fair prices & are very friendly. They are also extremely knowledgeable as well. My boyfriend called on Memorial Day 2023 & he left a message as they were closed for the holiday, but they called him back the very next day & advised him what he needed to do to fix his issue & they got him on the schedule asap. I still dont understand why maintenance on cars has to be so expensive though. 😂😮‍💨

Mikes has made any and all repairs and/or replacements needed in the specified times quoted and at a fair and very reasonable price. Hard to find someone to trust. Comment: Fantastic family run business! I called and spoke with Ms. Danielle and got an appointment set up this morning. Mr. Kevin called around 10:30 to let me know what repairs I needed. He wasnt pushy, and he didnt list off repairs not needed for thousands of dollars. He took the time explaining everything and answered all of my questions. He told me what repairs were urgent, and what ones could wait. I really appreciate the honesty and understanding that I would need to wait until I got paid next for the other repairs. Again, never pushy! When Mr. Kevin called to let me know my vehicle was ready, he came and picked me up, completely negating another Uber trip. And that was awesome as well. So folks, needless to say, this auto shop is hands down one of the best Ive ever been to, and I will be back in a few weeks! Thanks yall, greatly appreciate you!!!

I dont feel like I was over charged. I just had a lot to be repaired. This is the best I can remember my car running, handling, cooling, braking, etc. I will definitely go back to Mike Ks. I had some of this work done before and not so long ago at a registered Cheverolet dealership in Southgate Mi. So quick to need these services again and now I have much better results. Had an antifreeze leak and the water pump was replaced, thank the Lord for the precautionary repair. As a family business, you know you can trust their advice. They provided me with 2 quotes, one for the brake work and one for the engine work my car needed. I gave them the OK to do it all in one go, I was advised that I could break it up into two visits with the brakes as the first priority, but that only made me want to throw my money at them even more. Paired up with their warranty program that goes beyond any manufacturer warranty and their acceptance of Synchrony credit cards, which I already have thanks to Discount Tire, you really cant find a better shop to take care of one of your most important investments. I became a lifetime customer after my first visit!

I left the car they gave me a ride to work. Mike called and said he had good news and bad news. Asking for the god news first he said there was no charge. He had done a quick something to the brakes. That was 28 years ago. Today Mike, Kevin, Bill and Brandon do the same honest, quick, service for a reasonable price. There is an estimate if needed & options give if there are a few repairs & the expense is high. Ive done repair in the current month & the second the next month. Give them a try you will as pleased as I am.

After a flat tire 2 days prior, I was still driving on a spare and my other front tire was showing the steel belt. I tried for hours to find a shop that could replace them for me … and I needed it done same day. When I called Mike Ks, Kevin was so helpful. He assured me it would be no problem to get the job done quickly. He even came up to my work place to get the keys, take my vehicle to the shop, and had everything done in only a few hours!Kevin provided a full accounting of what had caused the problem in the front end and a cost work up of what else I need to repair, in the order of importance. Now I can return to have each repair made and not have to empty my bank account all at once!I feel completely confident in Kevin and all of the Mike K employees. The shop is clean and friendly. I have since spoken with several of my coworkers who have taken their cars there for years. They also only had the highest praise for the work done here. The prices are very reasonable and Im sure the work will be done right.Thank you for turning a rotten day around with your excellent service.

Comment: I took my vehicle to Mike Ks on the recommendation of a friend after my Service Engine Soon light came on. I had already been to Auto Zone and they had run the free diagnostics and told me it appeared to be a problem with the catalytic converter and that they did not have the part. In search of an auto repair that I could trust and that wouldnt charge me my first born for the repair, I put a post on Facebook for recommendations which led me to Mike Ks. I told them what was going on and that Id been to Auto Zone. They said they would drive it and run the diagnostics to verify the results Auto Zone had given me. I asked about the charge for doing so and was told there would be no charge, that the cost would be put toward the cost of repair. So, I made an appointment for them to check it out and to do an oil change which it was also due for. It turned out that their diagnostics were consistent with Auto Zones diagnostics and that indeed, my car does need a catalytic converter. They also confirmed that the part was nowhere to be found - even the dealership doesnt have it. Since there was no way to do the work right now, on my way to pick up the car, I was worried that I was now going to have to pay $85 for the diagnostics test that I had gotten for free at Auto Zone. It was such a relief when I arrived and was only charged for the oil change. All three of the men that we interacted with were so kind and just had an energy about them that felt so down to earth and trustworthy. Kevin explained what was going on with my vehicle and that it is safe to drive, but that eventually, if not addressed it would impact the way my car is driving. After I asked Kevin about the benefit of a catalytic cleaner, they even made a call to the local parts store to see if they had it in stock and asked them to hold it for me. I loved the service and the feel of Mike Ks as a family-owned business that is honest and quality work. It feels good to find an auto repair that you trust and dont have to constantly worry that youre being ripped off or misled. I will definitely be taking my vehicle back for the work if Im able to find the part and at the very least for the regular maintenance.

They are right in line with any other reputable shop in the area for prices. The cheap shops around might seem lower, but when Mike Ks does the work, the quote wont change, and the job gets fixed the first time. You wont have to pay for the same repair over and over. They also wont sell you a repair you dont need.
