Comment: Wow! Just gonna start by saying that Stevin made a bad experience so much better!Heading up north on a camping trip, my Subaru Forester with 265,000 miles decided it was unable to make it. We broke down on I-75 in Saginaw. Not knowing the area, I just called the closest shop that came up in a search and hoped for the best.They discovered it was the timing belt 🥺 and after a pressure test, the diagnosis wasn’t great.Stevin was very patient and told me they would keep it there until I was able to make arrangements for it’s final departure to the scrap yard.When my husband could finally get there to clean it out, HE had car trouble along the way - grrr.The guys at Ken’s said no problem, found the sway bars that had just been replaced by our local shop were loose, fixed him right up and sent him safely on his way.Can’t say enough about how well I was treated. If we lived closer, they would be our go-to repair shop.

No hustling just professional. The clutch job on these cars can be extensive since my audi is all wheel drive, they told me they would start my car Tuesday- I had my car back Thursday of the same week and it drives like a cloud! My wife always wants to drive one way or the other somewhere, because it’s flawless and fun again! I would say you are in good hands taking your vehicle to Ken’s for sure! I checked out them in the first place mostly due to stellar reviews and I must say these are apparently warranted.Needed to get my brakes+rotors replaced (1 axle), they got me the best quote for parts+labor (~$80 less than the closest competitor around), I got scheduled promptly and was in and out in less than an hour (again, others estimated it would be an hour at best).Things to consider: I love when service shops have big windows into the work area so the clients could see whats going on there -- this one does not, due to the waiting area configuration mostly. Also, they dont let you bring your own parts - apparently due to their insurance restrictions (they give warranty for parts and labor). In all fairness, their quote for the materials was almost equal to what I saw at AutoZone/OReillys.Overall, a great place (and theyve been around for 50 years!), the manager Adam was friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely will consider them for my future car needs.

Comment: While hauling two Farmall tractors up to Mackinac Bridge, our Chevy Pickup decided to start spilling coolant all out the underside of the radiator. Kens General auto repair was 1.1 miles away, so we limped the pickup, trailer with tractors to their location in an engine overheated state. Even though this place was completely booked for the day, they were able to fit us in during this emergency. The estimated time the pickup could be fixed was 3.5 hours which included their lunch, they had us back onto the road in about 3.25 hours. They ordered and received a new radiator, removed the old one, and installed the new one. They also power washed out the front of the truck. We made it up to the bridge and back without any more problems. I wish this establishment was located closer to my home town. This place is awesome!!!!!

Comment: I am extremely pleased with the great customer service here! I knew my car needed some work due to check engine light, but was hesitant on choosing a trustworthy auto mechanic. I spent time reading reviews and Ken’s were exceptional. I dropped my car off first thing in the morning. A few hours later, I received a call explaining the diagnostics and estimate (which was reasonable). My car was finished before 130 pm; it runs great. Comment: I place my confidence with Kens. Own a 2006 Hummer ( perfect year before GM turned them into an oversized minivan). I drive 175 miles a day. Kens work is top notch. They also always find issues that would be a problem that I was not aware of. The repairs are always done with expertise and and knowledge. First class each and every time.Recently I had Kens drop a Jasper rebuild engine in the truck. I live 75 mins away and could take to other repair shop. I don’t!! Would rather drive the extra miles to obtain the excellent service I have always received. They have done a significant amount of work to my Hummer as I am restoring the truck.In today’s world. It is hard to find a good trustworthy repair shop that knows what they are doing and can place your trust with them.Kens is that place. Prices are competitive with today’s market. But the value that you receive is excellent receiving top notch accurate repair work that gives you peace of mind as your rolling down the road.The staff is very knowledgeable, polite and a no nonsense shop. My van’s transmission failed and, within a day, they had a replacement ready to go, worked me into the schedule and also performed some other smart replacements, while the suspension was dismantled, to save me money in the future.
