Comment: Spent thousands trying to get an electrical issue fixed to no avail... Hilltop was able to locate and solve the problem days before my appointment was even scheduled. Great communication, extremely courteous and professional, and by far best mechanics (electrical) Ive ever dealt with. Also, they were able to rewire everything for around 300 bucks, where the last place I took it to charged me 2 grand for fixing nothing. Hour and a half drive was beyond worth it. Recommendation is absolute.

Comment: My jeep was leaking engine coolant and Hilltop auto was able to do a thorough diagnosis and fix the problem. A week prior I took my jeep in to the dealership for the same thing. The dealership was less thorough and quoted me for only part of the problem. Amazingly Hilltop Auto did MORE work and the cost was still leas than the dealership.Tyler our technician, was kind and knowledgeable. He brought all of the broken parts out to show my husband and me where the failures occurred and why- I have never had someone do that before! Hilltop auto is a trustworthy business and they have gained a customer for life.

The hourly labor rate seemed lower than other places I have been to in the past, and I appreciate that.Ken and the team did a great job talking me through everything that needed to be done with my brakes. Comment: I’m an at home garage wrencher. Ive done simple to moderate jobs on my own and my families cars. About a month and a half ago I noticed an exterior coolant head gasket leak on my 13 Lexus GS350. Head gaskets leaks and Lexus/Toyota V6 engines are rarely ever a thing that’s said in the same sentence. This is not the job you can do in a small 2 car garage. Engine needs to come out from under the car and needs to be stripped to the short block. So I needed to find a shop that would be willing and capable of doing the work properly.Hilltop Auto Service is that place. I’ve taken my car into 2 shops to confirm my coolant leak and calling around for quotes before trusting my car to be serviced at Hilltop. I’ve had quotes for less and some much higher (that shop basically quoted me a new engine. They wanted a new part for everything, yikes). Overall I would say their quote was very fair for the large job.What made me decide to go with Hilltop was because of Don and a friend of mine that recommended the shop. Don understood my concerns and mentioned that they have a previous Toyota tech that is familiar with these engines and have worked on these cars before. As well as the fact that they will be using OEM Lexus parts.Nick was the mechanic who serviced the engine. He showed me the coolant leak passage on the head gasket as well as the other head gasket that was eventually going to start leaking soon. He also showed me that mice have made a home at one point in time on my engine and they had to fix a few wiring connectors. I noticed his attention to detail and numbering of parts when disassembling the engine. You have to be for this particular job. I was very pleased.The car has been running great since and sounds just as good if not better than before.If you are worried about a shop not having the skillset of doing major work on your vehicle that you care about, then look no further and take it to Hilltop. This is where I will be going to from now on if major work needs to be done *knock on wood*.Thank you Don, Nick, and the Hilltop Auto crew!

All the staff are friendly and explain everything easily (especially for those who are the furthest from being a car expert AKA me lol). I have a VW and they always do a great job with the oil change and just inspecting my vehicle. I even came in on a Friday afternoon with a battery issue and they were able to identify the problem and work on it quickly, despite their busy schedule. Comment: Recent transplant from Florida, where I had a shop “specialized” in lifted trucks AND a commercial Goodyear fleet shop both tell me my alignment was correct despite caster settings being completely opposite bottom and maxed. The crew here, though I had to book the spot a week in advance, listened to my input, did their due diligence to make sure I wasn’t mistaken (it’s happened, I’m human), and got it right on the first try! No more rubbing, no more “RAM lean”. I’ll be calling on them again next week when my new, rowdy offset wheels come in. Also, for what it’s worth, saw and heard “high price” mentions in regards, but I can tell you my alignment and oil change was super reasonable, and the cheapest way to do something is correctly the first time. I thought I left them a review already, but I guess that was for Carfax, so I wanted to make sure to come back and leave some love because I truly appreciate quality and integrity.

They recommended Hilltop and the owner was able to get it right in even though it was Friday around 4pm. They diagnosed a loose nut on the sway bar link. He tightened it up and brought me in the work area to show me a couple other concerns. I got an estimate for the other repairs and I was happy to pay a small fee for the repair.

Comment: The dealership told us, after spending $100 of diagnostic time. That they would need an additional $300, to further diagnose a misfire in cylinder number 5. And then, told us to prepare to put a new engine in the truck. As a State Certified Technician in Auto Body in heavy Collision, I could not accept that. And when the temperature dipped down to Seven Below Zero. And my Township doesnt even allow me to change my oil in my driveway. I had no choice but to send it to someone. So I called my trusted engine builder. And asked him who he would recommend. Hilltop, was at the top of his list. These folks found, a bad spark plug. Which, is what my son was changing. When the misfire occurred. In todays Vehicles a flashing engine light with bells and whistles... Is most commonly a way for them to sell you excessive repairs. After talking to the gentleman at Hilltop. It didnt take me long to figure out that these folks still believe in diagnosing and solving problems. The first time. Rather than, just replacing parts. And keeping you coming back in the door. They got my son hooked back up, and back on the road. In a timely and affordable fashion. They have restored my faith, that there are still some good technicians in the world. And for that I thank them.

Comment: I went in to get an oil leak repaired. They called and told me what the problem was and I authorized the $240 repair. After picking up my car and driving home that night, it was still leaking. I called the next day and it took them 2 days to get it in just to tell me that the repair they did created a new leak. It was going to be another almost $100 to get that fixed. Im very disappointed with the service I received.I was happy to get a call from Ken to talk about what my issues were. After a very constructive conversation I feel that we are both on the same page and will use his services without hesitation. Im changing my review from 1 to 4 stars. The owner takes a real personal interest in getting to know his customers by name and vehicle. Theyre able to find tough parts even for foreign vehicles, and in my experience they have been able to diagnose issues that even the dealership couldnt figure out. Comment: Amazing service!! I took an used car for Vehicle Inspection. I was allowed to see them inspect the car. Comment: Our daughter had work done to her 2007 Sebring, the work was completed on time and exactly for what the estimate listed. Even though a couple of other things were recommended, there was no pressure to do the extra work. Ken and Michelle (Alyssa too) were great to work with. Prompt, Friendly and Reliable. A reasonable rate for quality work, less than the dealership for the exact same job....and they wont treat you like a girl in a tire store!
