Comment: I had a flat tire this morning going to work. I was riding through Grosse Pointe when I saw the auto repair shop to inquire on a tire to fix or repair. The mechanic CHRIS told me that even though he didnt have the tire size at the moment, he could order one for me within 2 hrs. He also gave me a very good price for the tire and I took the offer. The tire arrived in 1 hour!! He replace the tire and it saved me so much time and money!! Thank you Chris!!

Comment: Grosse Pointe Auto repair helped me extract broken bolts from a DIY valve cover gasket job gone horribly wrong lol. They tapped each broken bolt which is a very meticulous job, they did it right and finished my valve cover replacement for me— my Accord drives like new and I’m pleased. They were kind, professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this shop if you care about your car being in the hands of skilled mechanics.

I had some suspension issues I explained what was going on they checked it out and gave me a run down and for once I didnt feel like I was getting the run around. When your a female bringing your car into a shop its not always easy to trust what your being told. When I got my baby back the difference was night and day! I dont think I will ever trust taking my vehicle anywhere else!

Comment: I had emergency repair work done at this establishment as my vehicle became disabled in the Grosse Pointe’s and a dear friend of mine, who lives the area and has used them for many years, highly recommended. They took my car in on an emergency basis near closing time and promptly called me a day later to inform me my vehicle, an MKZ, would need some significant repairs that required removing the engine and transmission to facilitate. They properly diagnosed the issue and completed the repairs according to the quoted budget and timeline. In fact, Rick promised my car completed by late afternoon as he knew I had a rental that I had to return that evening. In addition to the emergency repairs, they were able to diagnose and repair an annoying front suspension issue that Belle Tire failed to identify on two separate visits. Based on my experience with Rick and the owner, Dwayne, I would certainly use them again for any minor or major repair.

Dwayne (owner) and Rick(smart aleck sidekick) are excellent about listening to the car owner and being sure they collect needed info.The estimates provided are very accurate and prices are MUCH better than dealerships (e.g. synthetic oil change half cost of dealer). They are able to service most any make and model; seemingly with an encyclopedic knowledge.They offer attentive service and care, limited shuttle service and are a great family-owned business.Honest, timely and pleasant--highly recommened.

The service and check engine lights came on, so I asked for mechanic recommendations in Grosse Pointe and my friends all suggested Grosse Pointe Auto Repair.Rick was very friendly and professional, and he happens to have a background in servicing British cars. He agreed to speak with the selling dealers mechanic and run a full scan of the Rolls to get a complete picture of potential issues.Rick had the car fixed and ready for pick-up in 24 hours. It runs smoothly and Im extremely pleased, all for less than half what the RR dealers estimated charge.Im thrilled to have a place I can trust to take my new baby. Rick looked at me like I was a new boat. Comment: Dwayne is a straight shooter and has never let me down. I recommend these guys for sure. My suggestion would be to have him do your initial price quote rather than one of the mechanics. He is the man in charge so it just make things smoother if he is aware of the issues up front and throughout the process.I have probably been there about 10-15 times over the years. I have only had one time where I felt like the work was a little off. However, he told me bring it back in and made it right the very next day. His same mechanics have been there for years so that is also a great sign. I will continue to use these guys for sure.
