The dealer wanted to keep my vehicle for two or more days to diagnose the issue, but these guys were able to do an inspection right away. Dave had a pretty good idea what the main issue was based on the description I gave him and Im very impressed by his technical knowledge of vehicles. I love that he showed me each area of concern on the vehicle after he had completed the inspection. They have even fixed issues that a dealership couldnt seem to fix. They give you a good explanation of what the issue is and what they did to repair it. Their prices are very reasonable and they dont pressure you into things just to do it. Most trust worthy repair place I have found in a long time.I cant recommend these guys enough. My car just went through some major work and they kept me up to date the entire time and they understood how crucial it was for me to have my car back and always showed a sign of urgency while still being very thorough with their work. Comment: I just want to take a moment to thank Brandon and all the technicians at Kozak’s Mr. Muffler for the awesome job they did with my vehicle! I arrived late after work towards closing time without an appointment. Brandon said if I left my vehicle with them he would make sure all diagnostic tests would be completed and would send pictures the next morning. Brandon delivered on his promise and sent me the recommendations with photos!! The technician also had some difficulties with removing some parts for my brakes that was rusted which caused for a little delay. Comment: These guys were great to work with! I was trying to install a carbon fiber diffuser but it wouldnt clear my after market exhaust on the right exhaust tip. Drove in to have them take a look and they got me scheduled the next day to bend the piping just enough for everything to clear and be lined up/centered. For just a couple of bends they only charged me a half hour of labor - I thought this was fair and honest of them! If you need exhaust work in the RO area, I recommend checking these guys out!

I am here from Boston visiting family and shortly after I arrived, I noticed (heard) what I assumed was a detached/broken muffler dragging on the ground. I had it towed to Mr. Muffler on the advice of a friend, fully expecting to pay hundreds of dollars for an Audi approved replacement. Note: I would’ve paid it without question. The team at Mr. Muffler charged us $0 — all that needed replacing were two rusted out screws, extra of which they had lying around, and they refused to charge us a dime. Not. A. Single. Cent. As a woman, I’m sure I don’t need to tell anyone how rare that is!! All this to say, don’t hesitate bringing your car here- you couldn’t be in better hands. I forgot the mans name at the front desk but he was so friendly and made it overall such a great experience. Comment: I came here after I got burned by a local place. Mr. Muffler didnt have availability that day but did put me down for as soon as they could evaluate my vehicle, which was two days later.I brought my car here that day and they were SO communicative and did not try to sell me on anything other than the issues I knew I had brought it in for in the first place!I ended up approving the repairs on my brakes and my struts, and they had it done and taken care of in 24 hours even though I know they were shorthanded. They even threw in a cleaning of the spark plugs because (I think) of the amount of money and time I spent here. The labor here is not cheap but it was worth it to me knowing that 1) I didnt have to do it myself & 2) the parts used were quality.As a young woman I have been through the ringer with shops trying to take advantage of me without realizing that I do a lot of my own maintenance & that I understand how to inspect my own vehicle. These guys were respectful, honest, and quick. I was very pleased with the work done after bringing it home and inspecting it, & will certainly be back in the future.

Comment: I came to Mr. Muffler to get an exhaust tip installed on my pickup truck. During inspection, I was informed that the exhaust pipe was rusted pretty badly up to and including my muffler. So I decided to get all that changed out and went with an X-cellerator performance muffler, along with new pipe and exhaust tip. I told them I wanted deep throaty sound, not high raspy sound, and they knew exactly which muffler to install. I was very happy with the results. The sound is not too loud where it will irritate the neighbors, but you can tell when I start up the truck. I highly recommend Mr. Muffler for performance muffler installation. Just let them know which type of sound you want, and they will take it from there.

I had taken it to another repair shop, who replaced the battery twice in a 5 month period, telling me it was the battery. I was fed up and decided to try Mr. Muffler, which is down the street from me. WOW! What a difference. Not only were they quick and efficient, they immediately were able to tell me that it had nothing to do with the battery itself and quickly diagnosed the problem. They were very up-front and straight-forward and did not try to charge us for unnecessary work. Michael is professional and courteous and kept us informed every step of the way. Mr. Muffler is a top-notch repair shop and as long as we are living in Michigan, they will have our business for life! When I noticed a small spot of oil on driveway, I called and they told me to come on in. My car was promptly taken in to be looked at. After inspection the manager immediately admitted it was their fault and was apologetic. They quickly cleaned up the area and generously provided monies for a car wash. I was just happy that they cleaned it up and that it was simply a little accident, versus I had a leak or something. Trustworthy shops are hard to come by as we have been swindled in the past with shotty work and poor business practices. We were skeptical.However, we took the leap of faith here and were pleased with the knowledge of the staff, professionalism, timeliness of service provided and pricing. We have had two separate services performed on our family vehicle (due diligence maintenance of exhaust and front brakes) and the van runs smooth. Front brakes come with a lifetime warranty on the pads and rotors. When you wear them down, they are replaced at no additional cost beyond labor. No labor cost in the first year either. Had taken my car to 2 different shops for quotes, one left it smelling of smoke (just from the short time they othhad theit for an estimate) and the other bordered on rude and the quote was unreasonable. In the meantime took my car in for a tire issue at a Discount Tire and the manager recommended Mr Muffler for my car issue. Called, made an appointment over the phone. From the moment I walked in they made me feel welcome and were respectful of my time. What happened next was what earned them 5 stars... once the issue was diagnosed the pulled up the needed part on an iPad to show me what they would be discussing THEN took me out to my vehicle and with a light took me under my raised car and pointed out what was wrong and why showing me the properly functioning part and how it works on the other side of my car. They pointed out parts that were in good shape and why and also things that I would need to keep in mind for the future. Never once tried to sell me something I didnt need, never once spoke down to me, never once became impatient or disinterested, never once hurried or rushed. Price was very reasonable, left my car overnight for them to fix the following day. They called me throughout the day to give me updates. Even though the part they ordered arrived hours later than originally anticipated they still had my car finished by the end of the day. Really impressed with this RO Mr. Muffler. I was greeted promptly by Evan, with a smile and a how may we help you today? 😊. They got my truck in, inspected it and, even escorted me to the bay to show me the problem with it (a bit more work than just a wheel alignment). That was nice of them😊. The repairs ended up being very costly. But, they offer program that allows you to pay for the repairs with 6 months interest free. Yay! What a big help that is. George the mechanic is even staying a little late to make sure that I get my truck back the same day. Thank you George! The only thing that I wish they will have fixed very soon is the heat. It is sooo cold in the waiting area. They have space heaters and hot coffee to try to keep the customers warm and comfortable but that heat would really be a big help. After my quote I did some online searching and quickly found that there was definitely some padding on the numbers. I came to Google for some good advice and notice Mr. Mufflers outstanding numbers and customer praise. One customer even keeps asking them for a job! Brought it here instead and they cut the rust out and welded new in - $180. Comment: Was skeptic at first about having Internal Motor work done at an Oil change shop but with all the good reviews and the knowledgeable mechanics I spoke with I decided to give it a shot.Dean was well spoken and always kept me informed while the mechanics diagnosed the issue and fixed. Long story short they replaced the heads on my 8.1L 496 Motor and that truck needed it.Attached Images are photos that Dean sent me once they found the problem and the last photo was the motor reassembled.Now any shop can fix a problem but they paid attention to detail... previously I had a broken manifold bolt and Intake cover bracket was missing.. those were both replaced and repaired which just made the experience even better.As a Mid-level mechanic I highly recommend bringing your vehicle here

When I got home I inspected their work and notice the part was different from the original compared to the passenger side and went back to the shop. Nate and the mechanic who did the work explained to me that the manufacturer modified the part to prevent bushing wear in a very professional and respectable way, which is true customer service in my opinion. They replaced a belt, my air conditioner, and a faulty airbag that also needed wiring work. Comment: I had an aftermarket exhaust for my 2014 Sierra that I purchased from another source and had issues installing it myself because I needed a custom flange made to install it correctly. I went here and they were able to help me out by making the flange and installing everything for a very reasonable price and competed the work very quickly. Sounds great and looks just as good.

Comment: Very professional, attentive staff! No appt was necessary and got a full maintenance check with oil change and tire rotation for 19.95 with coupon. How great!So its the following week since that post and of course a holiday. Going to have to bring car back unfortunately as my car is shaking terribly over 40 and sliding motion around curves. Only had oil change and tire rotation so Im thinking its the tires. Wasnt doing this at all prior. Hope they can fix it back the way it was.

The manager also payed for a rental car for me to use overnight since the parts were not available right away so I would not be without transportation. Comment: After receiving a quote from Midas Muffler in Troy for $750 with a lengthy explanation about the catalytic converter and the need to replace xyz...I ended up taking our car to Mr. Muffler Auto Repair. I was quoted a price of $160, was shown how they would proceed with the repair, received immediate service and paid less than quoted price ($155). Excellent service! Highly recommend! Comment: We took our Avalanche into Mr. Muffler in Royal Oak to get a oil change and a service inspection, thank goodness we did, after having it checked out March 31st from another business that put tires on our truck, my husband ask them to check tie rods they told us they are fine. So we took a trip to New York and back to Mich. Well when we took our truck to Mr. Muffler the Mechanics Kevin and Keith called us back and showed us how bad our tire was loose, yelp we had a broken tie rod, broke brake line, transmission line leaking and few other major things. So i want to thank the mechanics Kevin, and Keith for finding and fixing our truck. They gave us a free loaner for overnite and the prices was good. We were very pleased with Mr. Muffler very friendly staff and thanks to Greg up front for very kind and friendly service. I will definitely be going back there to let them service my truck. And we also get a $ 50.00 gift card back. Our date of service was April 13, 2017. See you guys in 3 months for another oil change.

I always thought I needed to go to a specialized auto repair shop because I have a older Mazda Miata convertible and most places arent comfortable working on a foreign car. But I took a chance on Mr. Muffler in Royal Oak on Woodward Rd. after Discount Tire in Lathrup Village recommended them. The mechanic was confident he could fix my car and the service manager assured me that he could get the parts needed within 45 minutes. I felt like I got much more than what I paid for, besides getting my entire muffler replaced I had my A/C checked and restored without additional cost plus I received a $25 discount off my original quote for the job. All the work was completed in just a few hours without delay. I was amazed with the job they did. My car is so quiet plus my A/C works again. Now how sweet is that?! I finally found a trustworthy and competent auto service establishment to take my car without any worry. Thanks to all the guys at Mr. Muffler in Royal Oak, youre the best.

During this visit, I also witnessed the front desk handle a concerned customer on the phone with ease.
