Comment: It was closing time, (night before Thanksgiving) and I drove in the parking lot with a flat tire, Chris was so nice and not once did he say we are close, he said he would take care of us, told us to go inside to pay. Nick and Layth were in the office and surprise they said they were close, my sister-in-law told them that Chris was fixing our tire and they said okay. They were very nice, its rare to see a young man like Chris so polite and not hurrying to closed and wait on us although he knew they was closed, he was our blessing that night along with Nick and Layth, Thank you guys for treating us so well.

The staff members that work the counter( Layth and Nick) are top notch; they are professional, reliable, and approachable, Above all else, they are honest and very knowledgeable. The top skilled mechanics perform quality service on my vehicle each and every time. Five Star Auto truly does deserve a 10 star rating for the A 1 service that is given by the great staff members that work hard to satisfy the customers. OnJune 1, 2022 I took our van in to be serviced. We needed a new transmission. They did a great job. For years since I have been getting our van serviced and repaired at Five Star Auto Care, we have never been disappointed. They have always given us quality service. We live in Southwest Detroit and this is a long distance to travel to get our vehicle repaired. Though this may be far from our home, it is truly worth the trip. Added to the quality service, the customer service that is given is simply fantastic. Nick Stong, while dealing with multiple task and various customers, gives us care and genuine concern. He is able to address each issue that we are dealing with on our vehicle. Most importantly, he does it with a smile. The mechanics are above par. They are skilled and knowledgeable. They are excellent. Yes, they truly know their job! Added to this, the prices are fair and honest. They don’t try to milk you for more money by adding unnecessary repairs to your bill. Layth is great. He gives you the reassurance that your vehicle is in good hands. What an excellent team. The entire staff is great! Top notch mechanics, excellent customer service, fair and honest prices- you can’t go wrong . They have kept our 2006 Chrysler Town and Country running in great conditions for years. Five Star is an excellent place to get your car serviced. We have a 2006 Chrysler Town and Country and the mechanics have done an excellent job taking care of our van. These mechanics at Five Star are professional and skilled. They are honest about the work that needs to be done on your vehicle.This place does not try to bleed you financially by stating untruths about work that does not need to be performed on your car. My family deeply appreciates the honesty and reasonable prices that are given to keep our vehicle running. My sister is handicapped and she has a lot of doctor appointments . We are blessed to have quality, skilled and professional mechanics that have kept our van running for years. The mechanics at Five Star Auto are the best. The mechanics deserve 10 stars. Comment: Needed last minute repairs done for my 1982 oldsmobile omega for a show coming up in 3 days and they knocked it out of the park. Got a new muffler, a new CV shaft, new tie rods and an alignment. The car was too old for their alignment system but they pulled the measurements from an older system and converted the inch measurements to degrees to get it lined up and did fantastic. Thank you for all your help. Would not hesitate to come back for anything!

They went over my options with me and didnt try to pressure me in to getting anything I didnt need. It was going to take some time to complete so they were able to help me with a loaner vehicle for a few days. Nick was in contact with me daily letting me know the status of my vehicle. The entire staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I will return to Five Stars for future work.

Comment: I started having problems with the vehicle I bought from Carvana an hour after I got it home. Thank goodness their vehicles have a 100 day warranty. Five Starts Auto was the top recommended repair shop that accepts the warranty. From the very beginning Nick treated me like family. I felt like I had know him all my life. He is amazing with the warranty and knows what he is doing for sure. My vehicle had to go back to the shop 4 or 5 times and every single time Nick got it covered under warranty, even things I would not have expected to get covered. After over $5200 in work, ALL covered under warranty, my vehicle is finally working like it should have been the day I picked it up. Everyone at Five Starts Auto is very helpful and personable, but Nick goes above and beyond. I always say if you dont like your job, dont do it because customer service is so important. If you are rude to me I will make you wish you had put yourself in check. Five Stars NEVER made me feel like I needed to pounce. LOL... Thanks to everyone for being a super productive and much needed member of society!

Comment: A drunk driver hit my new, parked car, outside my house on memorial day 2023. Affected my front left tire and door and sides the worst. It’s been about 2/3 weeks of me not having a car, but I picked up my 100% fixed car today!!! I don’t think 5 star auto ever specialized specifically in collision damage, but you’d SURELY think they did- with what AMAZING job they did. They can do ANYTHING. The drunk driver RUINEDD my Ford Edge and they (Nick had awesome communication the whole time, I can be finicky with anxiety) fixed it brand brand new back to how it originally looked and ran. They also did a complimentary vacuuming/ cleaning. Be safe guys, and make sure you have insurance. Saved me over 6k in damages.I will include a Before picture of what they fixed. Now it looks and runs just fine, even better than before.

They look at my car and found the Drive shaft had fallen off and broke. Being my car is under warranty, I had to take my car to a Chrysler dealership for them to cover the 3400 dollar cost for replacement. NO LOCAL Chrysler dealership would not look at my car for 4 weeks. Nick took care of me and made a call to Miloschs Palace Chrysler dealership in Lake Orion. My car was towed there and Nick made sure I was taken care of. TOP NOTCH SERVICE!!

The repairs were done professionally and I am much more comfortable now having my 18 year old son drive the car to and from work and school! Comment: Another place I will do repeat business with! After my truck sat for 4 months wire to my starter corroded. The body shop where my truck was originally brought my truck to five star. They put the wire back before it arc out. As I was getting ready to leave work the starter locked up because they wire fried out. The Manager was not happy that this happened and they didnt catch it so instead of paying the 150 for the labor they waived the fee and replaced the wire instead of the starter free of charge. They were amazingly quick as well. When you are patient and work with them instead of thinking they work for you cause your spending money they are more than happy to help you with your needs!

Not only have they always been respectful been timely with repairs theyve worked on three of my familys vehicles. In the last couple weeks Ive been trying to come up with the funds to get my tire replaced on my 2003 F150 and Nick point me in the right direction for financing. I took it in originally for one tire replacement and alignment he called and told me that I need to replace another tire and explain to me why. I never send any of my vehicles to a mechanic shop due to the fact that my dad is a Master Mechanic and all repairs are done at home but I cannot think of anything bad to say about Nick or Paul or any of the crew these guys are fantastic I will continue to recommend them to anybody that needs work done on their vehicle.

Comment: I had been told by another mechanic ( a place I have been going to for years and trusted) that I needed both front side ball joints/bearings. Their price seemed high, so I called a few other shops and Five Star had given me the beat quote. I dropped my car off, and was told it should only be about 4 hours. They had a valet take me home and I waited for a phone call. Time went by, never heard back, so I had called, I was told that they were not hearing the noise that I had heard and it didnt seem that the ball joints/ bearings were not bad. I was surprised to hear this, because I was told by another professional, whom again I trusted, these needed done. I was then asked if I would leave my car overnight because the manager, Layth just wasnt comfortable, and he wanted to check it out himself. At this point, yes, I was angry, a 4 hour job now turned into a 24 hour job. I agreed, and when I talked to him the next day he said he didnt see any issues and asked if I would come in to test drive my own car with him or his mechanic, I was taken aback from this request, but agreed. I test drove it, and heard nothing. I have NEVER been into ANY auto shop that I havent walked out of without paying an arm and leg. I walked out paying them for their time to look at it, which was nothing compared to the $600.00 the other shop wanted to charge me. I must say, this was a most unusual but unexpectedly pleasant trip to an auto shop. I am still a bit in shock. In all honesty, I have never trusted mechanics, I have always felt taken advantage of, but not at 5 Stars! I will and would refer all my family and friends to them. An honest auto shop....never thought, but I found!! Go to Five Stars if you want honest and reputable service.

I came in with an issue that I couldn’t resolve myself, and they pinpointed the issue, showed me physically on the vehicle, and promised to do the work WHILE I WAITED. While other shops tell you to leave your car and come back in a couple days they do the work when you need it. They even offered me shuttle service. I mentioned a wobble in the wheel and they also did an alignment and balance and now my truck rides like a new vehicle. Very happy and reasonable prices. They even shuttled me home so I wouldnt have to wait there. $18 for an oil change and tire rotation too! Even did my Uber inspection. Gave me a 2yr, 24k warranty on labor and lifetime on Moog parts. JR and Paul are nothing but the best. My Escape with close to 200k miles on it is like new and drives straight without pulling right for the first time in 100k miles. Comment: I will never go anyplace else! I have been going to 5 Star for routine maintenance for years. I am happy to say that 5 Star was spot on in resolving an electrical problem with my 2008 Avenger. The Chrysler Dealer had my vehicle for 31+ days over the last 1 1/2 months. Only reason I went to the dealer was my vehicle was under warrantee. The dealer could not resolve my electrical issues, eventually telling me it could be bad gas or need a tune up (at 48,000 miles?). To rule out tune up problems, I took my vehicle to 5 Star. Back when I purchased my vehicle new, I had the dealer install a sunroof (which was told to be installed just as if it were done in the factory). It turns out that the dealers installation of the sunroof was not done correctly. 5 Star found a single wire ran from the sunroof directly to the fuse eventually causing electrical problems & 19 errors (low voltage; seat warmer problems; low battery, etc.). 5 Star diagnosed it on their scope (that the dealer could not find). The mechanic at 5 Star spent about 4 hours removing the wiring from the sunroof & putting my vehicle back to original factory setting. 5 Star told me to just drive 300 miles & they will hook it to their scope to check for any further errors/electrical problems. Even though my sun roof no longer works, my vehicle is once again purring like a kitten. Wish I could adopt Layth (the manager) as my second son :). I needed my truck the next day. I would normally try to do a fix like this myself, but it is starting to snow and about to be dark out. It is 4pm.I called the dealer to see about service. Who just 3 weeks ago did a brake inspection during a works oil change said everything looked great. I was told I could bring it in three weeks. That would not work. I called Five Stars and asked if they could get it in tonight. They told me if it was just brakes they could get me in and be done tonight. I get there as soon as I could. I arrive and they are busy, like usual. But still Rodney tells me they will see whats wrong and should have me fixed up tonight, even if they have to stay over. My Truck just needed pads and rotors. On the hoist a bit after 5pm, they stayed over a bit and got my truck back to me at 6:15. Most places wouldnt even look at it without a appointment let alone stay after closing. This place did right by me again.

Comment: I brought my car in at 9 oclock A.m. they had nine hour to finish my car but they didnt and now theyre close on Sunday, I have no car for the weekend, I can still drive my car, I wouldve came back another day that was convenient for me, had things to do on Sunday, maybe thats normal or they need to set appointments because I was told to bring my car in, early Saturday morning thinking I would get car back the same day

Comment: There is no reason to go to any other shop than this one. The service is great and the turn around time is phenomenal. I am confused how anyone could rate this shop as anything less than 5 stars. I own a Range Rover Sport and the customer service, workmanship, and price surpass the dealership by ten fold!A++++

Comment: I had taken my mini van in for a check engine light. After reading the codes, codes pointed to a possible vacuum leak. They recommended the smoke test to see if and where the vacuum leak was. After the test was completed it was determined that there was a solenoid failure in the fuel system (solenoid not opening to vent gas tank). It was suggested to do and electrical system check to find out exactly why the check engine light was on. The next day they did the electrical system check and found a dead short being caused by a broken wire in the harness. After it was repaired the mechanic took my mini van for a test drive to reset the computer to make sure that no codes reappeared.The service was excellent telling me step by step what was going on with my van. They are very comparably priced and do not do any other work on the vehicle with out getting prior authorization. I highly recommend Five Star Auto Care to the maintenance of any vehicle.Thank you.
