Comment: I took my old Ford Ranger in for a fuel leak. They fixed that problem and also found some broken, rusted out parts that were making the ride extremely rough. Comment: Had an appointment to have 4 new tires installed. Was told on arrival that it might take longer than usual due to staffing issue. Decided to wait anyway. I made it a bit more complicated by bringing extra wheels for the new tires.Waiting area is clean and pleasant. They understood what I wanted and handled it with no confusion. Job was completed within estimated time. I will be back.

Comment: First off - EXCELLENT service! My wife needed some brake work on her Mercedes and was able to get in the same day at Darrells Firestone in Farmington Hills. We dropped her car off and Darrells team called with an estimate. We gave the go ahead and they got to work fixing her brakes. My wife had other work to be done (her Mercedes has about 80k miles on it) so she let them have it for a couple days to get everything looked at. Darrells provided her a loaner vehicle to use to get to and from work at no additional cost. Everything was done right and we couldnt be happier with the service.

Comment: This was the best experience I’ve had with a mechanic shop in my life. I had some exhaust issues come up on Tuesday morning. They had my car in the shop by the end of the day Tuesday, and I picked it up by 4 pm on Wednesday fully repaired. Jason, the guy working on my car, called me as soon as their inspection was done and let me know what the issue was, how they were going to fix it, and what the cost was going to be up front. He also suggested I get my brakes done because they were in really bad shape but left that additional work up to me. He did not try to up sell me at all. When I came to pick up my car, Jason had me pay and gave me an itemized receipt without me needing to ask. So far, my repair seems to have corrected the problem and I will be going back to Darrell’s Firestone with any car troubles in the future.

So a year later, I took my vehicle to Darrell’s. The technician took a look and said it was not welded correctly, and they could repair the welds and get me back on the road for a small fee. Comment: I bought a set of wheels and tires from a different tire store. Less than 350 miles later I hit something on the freeway, ruining a tire. I had it replaced, but the balance wasnt correct.I stopped into Darrells on a whim. I explained to them the shaking at freeway speeds. 10 minutes later my truck was on a lift.As it turns out, all four of my 33x12.5s werent balanced correctly.They have a really nice CNC tire balancer, and a technician that knows how to use it. Now the truck rides smooth as silk. There isnt a shimmy when the speedo is buried.Decent prices for good work is what I left with. I will be back in the future.

Comment: Went to Farmington Garage before coming here, and was quoted over $1300 and was told my entire water pump system needed to be replaced. Got a second opinion here and it was $700, and only a small part of it needed to be replaced, along with my thermostat. Totally fixed the problem, this was over two weeks ago and havent had an issue at all. The guy at the counter (Jason I think) was super kind and kept his word on the timing of the work needed, too. Ill be going here for all my car repairs from now on!

Comment: I chose to use Darrells Firestone to review and repair my sons 2013 Escape that was making noises that required attention. They diagnosed the issues and fixed one, due to some communication issues among Darrells employees I was not alerted to an issue that required my authorization to fix.This caused me to drive away with a noisy wheel bearing, which Ithen had to return to ask why they released the vehicle, they apologized and we agreed to fixed it.So I drove away again and heard another intermittent noise. I then informed then via email that I would not write a review because it would not be good.So Darrell himself called me and requested I bring the vehicle back so they could make it right. I returned the vehicle, and they fixed it....NO CHARGE.They have restored my faith and I believe they are are a good source for repairs, we had an issue and they stepped up to fix it. I commend Darrells Firestone and recommend their service as reputable, honest and timely repairs.

Comment: I had a puncture in my tire on the way home from work. I called every tires shop near me and everyone said they were too busy to fix my hissing tire. I called Darrells and they said they could squeeze me in. The guys at the front desk were very accommodating, helpful, and friendly. I was so very thankful that they squeezed me in last minute. They even priced out some snow tires for me while I waited, and the wait was not long at all. I love the location. Its in the heart of downtown Farmington, so you dont have to wait in waiting room if you dont want to. Ill be back soon for my snow tires.

They were very communicative and timely, my car was there only a little over 24 hours. It was my first time doing business with them and it will definitely not be my last. They were incredibly helpful, talking through each issue with me and helping me prioritize work. For the amount of work being done on my car, I thought the prices were reasonable. I later went online to check average prices for each issue and found this place to be squarely in line with what one should expect. As a kicker, they let me walk my dog into their office (since I live reasonably close) to pick up my car.

Their very skilled exhaust specialist was able to cut out the bad parts and weld in the repair instead of having to replace the entire system. The repair was reasonably priced and done very quickly. Lucky I ended up here since it was closing time on a Saturday and the earlier 2 shops were too busy. Mine was the last vehicle that Chris looked into. Knowing that I was stuck with my family Chris was very nice to help me get running on the road so that I could return home. He got me road worthy at a very reasonable price. Comment: I have been going to Darryls for about 20years. all of these bad reviews are lies. Darryl is the most honest repair shop I have ever been too. Last week I thought I had to replace the blower motor for my 2005 vw Jetta. I took it to Darryls and thought I would be paying around 500.00. Darryl called me about 3 hour later and told me he had good news? whats so good about 500.00????? WEll the GOOD news was that there was a credit card stuck in the fan and that it DIDNT need to be REPLACED !!!!!!! you cant get more honest than that. They only charged me 60.00 for the labor. I HAVE COMPLETE FAITH IN DARRYLS FIRESTONE AND I WOULD NEVER TRUST ANYONE ELSE TO WORK ON MY CAR. also a year ago i took my car to midas for an estimate and they wanted 900.00 to replace the rotors and calipers. i took it to Darryls and it DID NOT need calipers and the whole job only cost me $300.00. needless to sa I sent in a complaint to the state about Midas trying to rip me off.
