Comment: I went to this location for help getting into my locked car. I had left that morning to attend my college classes at Eastern when I decided to air up my tires. I had left my car running due to the fact I thought Id leave right after that. I closed my driver-side door not thinking about it and when I went to get back into my car I couldnt. I was freaking out because I had never had this happen to me before. I went into the shop and explained the situation to Sam and asked for some help. My family had told me to just break a window to get in but by all means, I was not going to do that. So, Sam did everything that he could to pry open my driver-side door. His help saved me from having to pay a locksmith $70 to get this door open. I couldnt thank Sam enough for going out of his way to help me without a charge. Comment: They have been serving my vehicles for the last five years. They have done a great job repairing and maintaining both of my SUV and Minivan. There were some engine leaking issues with my SUV, which has 250k miles on it. They were able to fix it, although it did take multiple repairs to eventually resolve the issue. The quality of the work is top tier. Overall experience is very similar to a dealership. The front desk is super friendly, and the owner frequency came out to make sure the customer is comfortable and answer technical questions. There is free Kcup coffee in the waiting room, and sometimes they offer to give you a ride if the repair takes long. The online reservation system works great. You may also text message or online chat with them to set up the appointment. The location is convenient, it is near west gate mall and I94 exits. They are capable of most repair work, and dont usually turn you down, unlike some small repair shop. Work is usually done promptly and on time. Parking is sufficient, and I have never had issue parking, and can always find spots with easy access to the office. I would highly recommend this auto shop to anyone looking for a place to maintain or repair their vehicles.

Comment: I am so happy right now…. My car has had lights going on for the last year and a half and I’ve had issues with my transmission, catalytic converter and muffler…. John, the owner, and the entire staff were friendly, patient, intelligent and well informed…. And always very accommodating, getting me in with an appointment on short notice…. Even letting me use a loaner vehicle when necessary…. But that is only part of it…. John treated my car as if it was his own car: intelligently trouble shooting, problem solving, improvising and eventually finding a solution to the the various issues…. I just got back from a trip up north with no lights on my dashboard, and my engine purring like a little kitten, and getting great gas mileage as well…. It was a joy to drive, and I’m looking forward to more trips in the future…. Perhaps most importantly though, I feel like I have gotten to know and befriend some genuinely nice people that care about me and my car, and that I can trust in the future if any issues arise…. Comment: Driving in the snow past winter did a number on my car and I had to get a control arm and ball joint replaced bc of a noise I heard when turning. The car was fixed and after a couple weeks I heard some noise again. Took it back to the shop and they got me in first thing the next morning with a free complimentary rental car. The work they did to fix the issue was covered under warranty and everything was done free of charge!These guys are knowledgeable and experienced and they take care of you as a valued customer. They go with you step by step of what needs to be done and even show you pictures. They back their warranty and if you have a problem they are always going out of the way to help. I mean loaner cars and dropping your car off to you! Seriously who else does this??They can get me in right away and fixed in no time. I hate having to wait for my car to be fixed here you don’t have to. Comment: I had the best experience Ive ever had with an auto shop at Complete Auto Service. My Audi desperately needed an alignment and possibly more front end work from the evidence of wear and tear on my front tires. I was welcomed and quickly scheduled over the phone for the same day. Upon arrival, the owner, John, generously explained the entire process; what they were going to look for, and the cost I should expect. This was unlike any other customer service I had received before at other auto shops. When they found my tie rod was bent and causing my issues, they called me and explained everything. When I returned, same day, I was shown the bent tie rod and again explained to what to look out for and why this was causing me issues. Im so thankful I have a place I can trust and refer my friends and family to. John went above and beyond for me!

Comment: The rear calipers froze on my wifes van just down the road from these amazing people. They were so incredibly accommodating even though it was two minutes before they closed when I called. They stayed fifteen minutes after closing for our sake. They were incredibly generous and thoughtful with their pricing. Flawless, immediate service the next morning. And a two year warranty on the work. True Christians are sadly rare, you will find them here. And major shoutout to miss Laurie, shes an absolute angel. 10/10 Would recommend.

I came in after a terrible experience with a different auto shop where I was charged a lot of money and still had a malfunctioning, unsafe car. Complete Auto Service was able to get me in the same day, diagnosed the problems with my car, and were upfront and communicative about the cost and time it would take for the repairs every step of the way. They told me that my car was still under factory warranty and they wouldnt feel right fixing something and charging me when I can get it done for free. Comment: I had an excellent experience with this place. A couple weeks ago I was driving an elderly couple to a doctors appointment all the way from South Bend. Along the way I developed a sever misfire in one of my cylinders, and knew I could drive it back home. The first 3 shops I tried were too busy to look at it, let alone repair it. Thank goodness! Because that let me to this shop. Not only were they able to immediately look at it, but they quickly found the problem (bad spark plug wire), and were able to fix it - all within a couple hours and a more than fair price! While waiting in their very nice waiting area, I even over heard other customers sounding impressed with the level of service they received.Louie and Johns is a very professional, and exceptionally honest, shop which Id definitely recommend to anyone needing repairs!

She didn’t just plug in the numbers and hand a quote back to me some crazy price, she inquired about my cars needs, she asked opinions of the mechanics to be sure I was getting the right work done for my car ALL JUST TO HELP ME GET THE RIGHT PRICING. I hadn’t even chosen this shop yet she was working hard to make sure I was helped correctly, Her initial communication with me is a huge part of why I chose this repair shop.The second amazing person in this shop is Bill (I believe might be the owner), I’m almost speechless to how much he helped, explained and most importantly TAUGHT me about cars and my own vehicles life. He showed me how parts worked, he explained why things were going wrong, what was the best route, and showed me specifically how the parts come together. He also price matched the quote i received from a different shop in town to keep me in the range of my budget (but with better parts). My car is running better than ever, and also they both said that wherever I am in the country I can call them and ask questions in case I needed help. Which is HUGE to me, I’m moving so I won’t be able to give them business but they still are here for their costumers even when they aren’t in the area seriously THE BEST AUTO SHOP I HAVE EVER BEEN TO.

I was ready to get the typical auto shop sales pitch with how the entire thing needed to be replaced, etc. but it was not the case with this place. My local dealer looked and said they would do it for a fee, and to schedule an appointment the next day. That wasn’t going to work. So I drove by this shop and thought it wouldn’t hurt to ask...John, one of the owners, greeted me with a smile and said no problem, pull up the truck! Comment: Wow! Bill and John showed me more hospitality than I get at most restaurants. I called them indicating my issue (after being turned down by 4 other city auto shops), they not only gave me a guarantee that they could fix it over the phone, but they said they could get the job done before they went home for the weekend. Comment: Ive been rather disappointed in the service most companies in Ann Arbor provide. But not with Complete Auto Service. They, like myself, are business people who understand how important is it for people to be able to trust the company theyre doing business with. My car just decided to not work on day recently when it had been fine just the day before. I called John and he said to bring it in right away. Theyve done a large number of Saab vehicles and insured me that they knew what they were doing. He was right. Very quickly I got a call saying that my car was finished and that ..it could be delivered to me whenever I wanted it.Now thats service! But the story doesnt end here. About a week after my car was dropped off it started to idle a little roughly at startup. As soon as I could I notified John of the situation. His response: bring it back a.s.a.p, which I did. When I arrived, at about 5:00 PM mind you, he informed me that he knew exactly what the problem was and that he could remedy it immediately! I told him that he didnt have to do it right away since it was so late in the day but he insured me that it wouldnt take lone and proceeded to solve the issue. Let it suffice to say that this procedure was really going the extra mile to make sure that I was happy with everything about my experience with Complete Auto Service and honestly I was amazed. There was actually more that he accomplished but you probably wouldnt believe me if I stated it all here! Youd think that I must have been paid to say these things! But that is not the case.As I mentioned before, John knows the meaning of the word service and also knows that a job well done is its own advertising. He really doesnt need anyone to embellish a review. That is my way of thanking them for a job very, very well done. And when I have anything else funny going on with my car Louie & Johns will be the first and last call I have to make.As a service professional myself I cant appreciate them more. Comment: Overall good experience. dropped off my car for an oil change and i thought a general health inspection. they asked me if i had been having any trouble with it. i dont have much experience dealing with cars or shops or anything as a young female, and i told them yes i had, told her what problems id been having thinking they just wanted to be aware of it just in looking at the vehicle, not realizing i was signing on to having nearly $400 worth of work done on my vehicle. getting slapped with that bill was quite a surprise and i wish id been a little better informed. however, i dont think they intentionally tricked me, simply poor communication. in the end, my car ended up having a good deal of damage, they came to my home and gave me a ride to work so i wouldnt be late since i wasnt getting my car back that day as i had planned, and seemed genuinely concerned about my personal safety sending me out in my vehicle, when they very well could have sent me on my way. in the end this is a good, honest business.

After a very negative experience with the local Toyota dealership, Im EXTREMELY PLEASED TO HAVE FOUND LOUIE & JOHNS COMPLETE AUTO SERVICE! My electrical system in my Camry was having major issues, and these guys diagnosed the issue quickly and correctly, and had my car running smooth within a day! They offer free towing, and provide pictures and diagnostic test results of all broken parts so you know they are being honest. They use a cool online program where you click on a link they send you by text or email, and it shows you the detailed results of the 67 point courtesy inspection that is performed with every visit. This helps keep track of any needs your vehicle has, and serves as a reminder to stay on top of your car care. Every time I called their shop I received very friendly and prompt responses. Fair prices and honesty are rare in the world of automotive service, especially in a town where lots of college students come, and go and the mechanics dont have to back up their work. They offered me many options, along with lifetime warranty on the parts and services I received. They will even let you borrow their loaner vehicles to drive around town while your car is being worked on. As long as I live in the area, Ill be returning to this shop! This is the type of place I would send my friends and family to for any car care issues. Do yourself a favor and bring your car here for any needs you have!

Ive been in for something as serious as a new fuel pump and something as simple as an oil change, and each time I was treated to the same great service. This is one of the first few times Ive had to completely get my non-starting car from point A to point B and handle all of the stress that comes with getting it fixed. Reading all the great reviews also made me weary. Im happy I went with Complete Auto Service because they made the whole process easy. They offer a free ride from the shop to wherever you need to go, I didnt take it, but just being offered was nice. Robin, the front desk lady, has amazing customer service skills, as well as the rest of the team. Being in the customer service industry, I was really impressed. I also spoke to the mechanic John on the phone, and even though I know nothing about cars he described it in a way I could understand, i.e. We have to untangle the spaghetti. (I had a huge wiring problem). When everything was all said and done, I went and picked up my car. On the dash there was a thank you card with referral coupons for you and friends inside.TL;DR Complete Auto Service has amazing customer service and explains things to where you can understand them. Thumbs up.

Comment: I own a 2012 Acura MVX, one day i was getting an alarm on my dash of B-13 so i stopped by the Acura Dealership in Ann Arbor to see what it might be. They told me it meant a tire rotation, oil change, brake inspection and transmission oil change. The only thing I didnt have Complete Auto do is the tire rotation, as Belle Tire does it free when you buying tires from them. Compelte Auto is a family owned business!! I had Complete Auto do the brake inspection and gave me a price to replace them. It was much lower in price and they used factory parts like the car Dealership and they would do much more than the car dealership would do for me. Plus they advised me my transmission was leaking that i need to take it to the dealership while it was under warranty to get it fixed, this is a major job to fix that... They also advised me my wheels were out of alienment. The Complete Auto upon entering their store they offered me a loaner car and told me they would take care of me. In fact for much less ($) than the car dealership quoted me. The next day I stopped backed on the way to work and my car was done. It was washed and clean, the staff met me with smiles on their face and the car was ready to go. I have done much business with Louie & Johns shop and they run circles around the many other competitors in town I have tried in the past. They make me feel that they really care about my well being, do the job right. A lot of shops cut corners, these guys educated me on the problem and why they needed to do it the way they did it, which takes a little longer than others would have done the repair in turn would last me many times longer. I have been getting cars repaired for over 40 years and I know what the normal cost to repair something. The car dealerships are twice the price and they lie a lot, i dont trust them. Once i went to a dealership, Jim Bradley GMC, not in business any more, they told me my brakes were 80% gone. I looked at the pads myself and they had less than 10% of the pads gone. They lied to me, i called the owner of the Dealership, Jim Bradley out to the shop and looked at them and he agreed with me. His mechanic lied to me. I trust Complete Auto Service Shop. I can send my daughters to them and trust they will treat them fair or the same way as me, as i think there goal is return business, they proved that to me multiple times. They are very honest with me and only want to do the job right so i am a repeat customer. My Brakes feel like the car is new and nothing was done. Comment: I purchased a mini van from Mr. Wormwoods Gerbil Powered Used Car Emporium and took it to an utterly forgettable local repair shop who told me I should find a priest to give it last rites and leave it in a field somewhere.As a single parent who had specific needs with a mini van, that was not an option. I finally found my way to where I should have started to begin with at Complete Auto Service.John took the time to walk me through the immediate issues with the suspension and shocks. In the nearly year since then, all of the staff have been patient and thorough with all of the work Ive had done to the mini van and to my station wagon. The use of a loaner car has not only been incredibly helpful, it gives a little peace of mind that I wont be stuck if a vehicle goes completely belly up and they have to keep it longer. (They have only had to do that once.)The only issue I would have is with the Car Care One repair financing they offer. While overall, its a great service, the card company will sit on a large payment for longer than the U.S. Presidential election process. Fortunately, John was willing to work around issues to get things taken care of.Start here, you wont go anywhere else.

Since moving to Ann Arbor 3 years ago, they have taken care of me on numerous occasions including a dead battery, flat tire, fender bender and then recommendation for body work on my hood, bumper and head lights after an auto accident 2 months ago. Robin is always professional on the telephone, and she does a great job being the face of the store when people come in. The mechanic was very thorough in his explanation of what was causing the leak, sending me to a link on their website to view photos of what the problem was, and where it was located. Comment: My experience with them has been great! I love the fact that they take the time to show you exactly what is wrong with your vehicle, so you know what your paying for in the end. For my birthday this year they gave me a free inspection of my vehicle and a oil change which I thought was pretty cool. I have a well used 2004 Chevy s10 so I was not surprised when they showed me that all my shocks were completely nonfunctional and a ball joint needed to be replaced. They gave me a good price on what it would take to fix it and I decided to get it done the following week. To my surprise I got 50% discount off of labor and repairs in the mail for the thanksgiving week (which was the week I scheduled to get my truck fixed) I showed it to them and true to their word I got the repairs done half off, which came up to being only $258! I am glad to be able to call these guys my mechanics. I would definitely recommend them to anybody who needs repairs, or is having trouble with their vehicle.

I have had small things like oil changes and larger things like bearings, brakes, etc. Each time they have explained in detail the problem and not only what needs to be done, but why it needs to be done. Comment: I have been taking my cars to John and his crew for the last few years now, mostly for oil changes and tire rotations. Although, they have also installed a tow hitch for me and done some other minor work. I appreciate the high quality service that they provide. They are always so flexible in providing a loaner or shuttle service to/from my office. Recently, I had my car in for more extensive service and found their hi-tech approach to providing me with an estimate, including pictures, very refreshing. Ill admit at first I wasnt sure what I was looking at/for in the pictures, but John has an excellent way of explaining in laymans terms what needed to be done. While I dont typically need to use the waiting area, it is very nicely decorated and comfortable, and his receptionist is very friendly and welcoming. I asked John to make sure that the car was in good enough repair to drive all that way to California and back. He took our 2010 Malibu for a test run and found that the wheel bearings were bad. They were able to get us in the same day and had the repair done in time for us to leave only 1 hour behind schedule. Comment: The experience we had with Complete Auto Care can only be classified as Divine Intervention. We were at Weber Inn in Ann Arbor. When my husband to brake his pedal went all the way to the floor. It was Sunday and we needed to find help in an area where everything was unfamiliar to us. I looked up and... right there.... was Complete Auto Care, and lo and behold, one of the stall doors were up. We pulled in and there was the owner, John, and his wife, Joy. They were closed, but he brought her car in to give it an oil change. He had us pull our van on the hoist and when he raised it up, the last of the brake fluid dripped onto the floor. The fuel line had broken due to rust. It is a 15 yr. old Chevy Express. John gave us a free loaner van. His mechanics fixed our van the next day and we drove back to Ann Arbor to pick it up. Did I mention that when we went inside there was a sign that said, God Loves You!I can only praise Complete Auto Care... and I thank God for getting us to their business safely.

A lot of my associates at work had recommended them and I needed an oil change done, so I figured it was a convenient and smart move. As I needed to do the inspection on that day, but it seemed there wasnt any available slot. The reception was very nice and squeezed a time slot for me. John and Dan were very helpful. I’ve experience other shops trying to charge me more because they assume that I don’t understand what’s going on but I’ve never had that happen here. In fact the mechanics usually make it point to explain what they’re doing, how one problem can affect other parts of the car, and they patiently answer all questions. The waiting area is clean and comfortable. They have free Wi-Fi and good coffee so you can still get things done while your car is being worked on. The customer service is second to none. Pam (the administrative assistant) is by far one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. She is ALWAYS pleasant and she goes the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable. Comment: Went in ready to spend money on new brakes but instead didnt pay a single dime. John checked my brakes and realized that it wasnt the brakes but just some clamps needed to be loosen. Coming from a guy who doesnt know much about cars, John was very descriptive when showing me what he was talking about. I definitely would recommend coming in here for any car problems because they really do care about the customers and the car well being rather than just the money!

Comment: Came in with known condition of my breaks and a pretty empty wallet. I was very impressed with the customer service. I felt I was listened to as far as what my issues were and my immediate concerns. They were able to work with me and even offer education about the issue I was having with my breaks. I appreciate their concern and offer to even drive me home or to work while my car was being taken care of. Its not easy to find service this good anywhere else!

Comment: I have been coming to Louie and Johns (Muffler Man) for many years for all types of problems, large and small. I have always received great service in a timely manner. Their diagnosis and estimates have been spot on every time. I have had at least 8 cars and trucks serviced here and they have met or surpassed my expectations every time. Comment: I have been coming here for over a year. These guys are great!! I trust them like my father. They treat you like family. They have always taken very good care of me and make me feel like I am the only person that matters. I know 100% for sure that when I leave everything they did was done correctly. Comment: My first experience with Complete Auto Service was excellent. The warm, friendly voice on the other end of the phone was helpful…and that was just the beginning. The mechanics were professional. Pricing was clear. My vehicle repair was done quickly and completely. The free WiFi and comfortable seats made even my wait pleasant (and they offered to drive me to work while my car was being repaired). I will definitely be back…and have already been recommending CAS to my friends and family. Thanks!
