Comment: I had a good customer service experience. My muffler fell off from my vehicle and I was able to be seen bright and early the next morning to receive a free estimate of what the repair work would cost. Other places I called wanted to charge me for a diagnostic service first and couldnt see me right away. Although it wasnt possible to just have my existing muffler welded back on to my vehicle (that was my preference but they said my exhaust pipe was too bent to do that), the replacement cost was still fairly reasonable especially with the coupon I used and I had my vehicle back same day. Shuttle service was great as I was able to get on with my work day without any hiccups and the driver was nice and friendly.

Comment: I used the website app to make an appointment. I dropped off my car on Tuesday. I needed brakes and some exhaust work done. Christian Brothers Automotive did a thorough inspection of my car. They texted me an estimate and also made me aware of other issues I might have with my car in the future.They sent me an estimation. I accepted. The work was completed by Wednesday afternoon. Their website was easy to use and had my car work finished quickly. Thank you Christian Brothers Automotive for your work. Comment: Had major issues with my diesel VW Jetta - 3 different yellow lights on, one flashing. Turbo felt like it gave up the ghost, no acceleration. Turned out with some diagnostics they were able to narrow it down to a couple failed valves in the exhaust system which had clogged up and destroyed the diesel particulate filter (like a catalytic converter for gas vehicles). The price for a new filter was $2700 - just for the part. Dave found me a used one for $700 and saved me $2K! The car works perfectly again. I can’t say enough good about the quality of the work and the people who work there. They always try to find the least expensive way to repair my vehicles and give me an honest appraisal of what I need and what I can put off for another visit. THE BEST!

Comment: I recently brought my car to Christian Brothers Auto for a brake inspection because my brakes had been really squeaky. Not only were they able to get me in within 48 hours, but they also did a complete vehicle inspection and sent me a full overview of my car’s condition (with pictures) and quoted the service that was required. In the end, I got fresh brake pads, rotors, and brake fluid for an excellent price. I asked around at shops nearby after the fact and found that Christian Brothers was the most economical for this service by far. My car was done by the end of the day and it is running great. I feel very very blessed by this company! Thank you Christian Brothers! I will certainly be back for all of my car needs!

Comment: Towed here after highway breakdown late at night, so did key drop. They called first thing in a.m. to ask about what had happened and to say they would do diagnostic to see what might be wrong. Kept me informed every step of the way and requested permission when further diagnostics were needed. Unfortunately the car ended up being a loss (a 2007 model with 130k miles on it); had severe oil leakage and engine damage. They arranged to get my plates and remaining personal belongings back to me and to take care of disposal of car while I mailed the title to them. Total care and respect for customer; wonderful people and I felt I could trust them. This was not my first time dealing with them; exactly 2 yrs ago the exact same thing happened with another car, and I was towed to CBA also. Same kind of care and assistance the first time as well and luckily that car was repairable. Highly recommend Christian Brothers Automotive.

They always do an excellent job on my car, which is old with many issues, and they also provide services that you wont readily find elsewhere. Its nice to receive text message updates as your car is being diagnosed and repaired and their shuttle service is super helpful. Everyone at CBA is always extremely nice, but a special shout-out goes to Dan K., who always diagnoses my car when I bring it in and who quickly heard and understood a problem during my first visit that 2 other garages and even a couple friends had said didnt exist. I recently had a serpentine belt that shred to pieces and also led to quite a few other repairs that debilitated my car from driving. I am a single mother and without there help I would have no means to transport my daughter to school or get to work to provide for us. Comment: I brought my car in for an oil change on their day of service for single parents. While I was there they helped a lot of parents get important safety issues taken care of besides doing the oil change. On my car that noticed my front tires were severely worn due to being out of alignment, they helped me get those 2 tires replaced and then had me bring it back for the alignment. Overall I am beyond grateful for a company that actually cares and sets aside a day to help single parents get there cars taken care of at no charge. It says a lot about them that they actually give back to the community and recognize the need of the single parents and low income individuals to at least get the oil changed in their cars. Some would say whoopee to the free oil change but I was greatful to get it done and have a little extra money. Those oil changes get pushed off when you are barely scrapping by and its important to keep the vehicle running smoothly. Comment: I filled my automobile tank with DEF (diesel exhaust fluid) instead of gas at a nearby station. The car would no longer run within 5 minutes of starting. My gas tank had to be drained and the entire fuel system had to be cleaned. They got on it the next business day and got me back on the road after 3 business days. They gave me an accurate estimate shortly after starting to work on the vehicle. The communication was great and one of the mechanics actually went out of his way to let me know there could potentially be additional problems so I would know what to look for. I was 200 miles from home and they made me feel like I was their most important customer. I thought the cost of repair was reasonable, given all that needed to be done.

I am so thankful that I reached out to Christian Brothers Auto. From my initial contact with them, I felt this was the best place to send my son/car. Wendy was so helpful throughout the entire process. They went over the entire vehicle and highlighted some other things that require attention, but never pushed to get the work done. Comment: My experience with Christian Brothers Automotive in Holland on Baypark Drive was exceptional!!! I took my car in to have an inspection of what needed done. They had my car back to me by 3 PM to pick my son up from school, and they had my estimate to me by 4 PM that same day. They ordered the parts needed and had them delivered the very next morning, I dropped my car back off at 9 AM and they had it ready for me with a new radiator, an oil change and new front brakes and pads by 2 PM!!! My car is driving like a dream now!!! PS...they even have refreshments in the lobby and a shuttle to return you home while they work on your car! They only took about a half hour longer than what was expected. And the price was within $10 of what was quoted to me which is okay. My transmission shifts beautifully in the cold weather as well as when its warmed up and I have more power and watching my tachometer I do believe my RPMs are lower so Im probably going to get better gas mileage. Comment: In the past with other companies I have always had a hard time taking my car in due to it being confusing and frustrating to really understand what wrong with my car and what I need to get done to have it running smoothly, and honestly it kept me from going in when I should have for preventative maintenance. With Christian Brothers Automotive they take the time to explain everything in a way that’s comprehensive to someone who has no idea how it work. I have been in contact with the amazing Wendy the entire time. They keep me updated about the progress of my car and Wendy has taken the time to help me understand what is important to get done, and what I can probably leave our due to budgeting. She takes the time to research and find high quality parts at lower prices. On top of all of that, they use an amazing system that shows you videos and photos of the issues of what’s going on so you can better see what the problems are. Comment: Best shop I have ever taken my vehicle to! I have a newer Tacoma that I had regularly taken to the dealer for service, and was recently told that an extremely expensive part needed to be replaced due to electrical problems. I had decided to take it here to get a second opinion/have them install the part instead figuring it would be cheaper than the dealership. Once they looked at it they not only found a plug the dealership had left undone, but then also found that the electrical issue with the car had nothing to do with the part the dealership had told me to replace. Instead I had wires that had been corroded and the part wasnt getting power. Needless to say they not only replaced all the wiring in this circuit, but also confirmed if I still wanted the part replaced and saved me $3,000.I do not believe I will take my truck anywhere else. Highly recommended! Not only did they fix my issue, but were honest about not needing the part when I had requested it in the first place. If I could give a higher rating I would.

CB took my appointment no problem, drove me to work, sent me a full diagnosis of my car with photos and videos (when applicable) and then texted me each time something new developed with my car as far as progress (car being seen, car being worked on, car being test driven, etc.) Very thorough and complete in their process. Two-year warranty on their work is crucial as well considering how often cars break down in Michigan.

Comment: When I moved up to holland 3 years ago, I was looking for a place to bring my car to get it fixed for a second time. When I first went in They then gave me a overview of all the things that needed to be updated with my car and things that were good which was nice. So when they started fixing it another time changing the fluids in it they noticed something no other automotive place even bothered to inform me. There was a oil leak on my engine. And apparently has been there for years because so much oil that was covering my engine. I have been having my car serviced almost a decade and these people here are the first to actually tell me. I thought that was impressive! So they serviced it very well and made my engine new again. Their knowledge is great when you are asking questions. I am confident with their help my car can last me another couple years or so.. She is getting old.. these are good honest people that will take care of your baby. And I do love the free chips and soda. The price can be pricey but it is true what people are saying, you get what you pay for. All I know is I feel more at ease knowing these guys will do good honest work. There was another time where my starter went out on me and they took good care of that, and I actually have a warranty on it so when this one goes bad I can get it done for free. They handled my repair well - professional, completed on time as promised (important since Im out of town). This quality is usual for a luxury dealership but rarely seen in most auto repair places. Nicely maintained shop with 8-9 bays, very neat and clean waiting area, offer drinks to customers. Received regular text messages with updates on vehicle progress, picked me up via courtesy shuttle from car rental nearby, called me a week after my repair to inquire on my experience. I had them service my truck,which had transmission problems and some other issues. They got my truck in right away and got to work right away on it. A very thorough and complete inspection revealed that my transmission needed to be rebuilt and they did a fantastic job! Its like driving a brand new truck again! Comment: I have been to CBA at least 5 or 6 times. The reason I go back is that they are very friendly, efficient and make me feel comfortable being there. They are very professional and I love that they will do a routine inspection just to check that things look good under my vehicle. Twice they found a problem that likely would have had me on the side of the road needing a tow truck and were able to solve the problem, got the parts quickly, installed and on my way again with no break down. The last time I went in for an oil change, I did not mention that my check tire pressure light was on, partly to see if they found it (my tires did not appear low). What they did find was that there was a screw embedded in my tire that had given me a slow leak. They fixed it immediately for free! I had to travel 3 hours the next day and was so thankful that I didnt end up on the side of the road with a flat tire. Their waiting room is very clean and comfortable, nice music and snacks make it a comfy place to wait...its more like a doctors office than a car-repair shop. Their customer service is great, such nice people and they always tell me whats happening with my vehicle and even though sometimes I dont really know what theyre talking about, they always explain it in a very professional way. Highly recommend CBA! I will for sure be back.

Comment: There were a lot of things I appreciated about my last visit.(1) Communication. I received multiple text messages regarding the status of my vehicle. First, I received a text with two photos of my vehicle showing previously unknown issues with transmission; second, a text requested a call back due to the problem found and provided the phone number for easy access; finally, I received a text letting me know when someone began servicing my vehicle after I called back.(2) Shuttle. I was meeting a friend for coffee that day, and it would have been especially awkward trying to meet up with him without the shuttle service.(3) In-shop experience. I love that you guys offer drinks to people in your store whenever they come in. There isnt much financial value for that kind of service, but what it shows is a customer-oriented business, and that specific aspect holds enormous value. I was at the shop twice in one day and was offered a drink both times and am sure I could have requested an additional drink either of the times I waited in-shop.(4) Friendliness. Customer service can be really hard sometimes; I know that from experience on both ends of the customer service transaction. I love the friendliness that has been consistently shown to me and my family at your shop.(5) Follow-up cards. Both times Ive been to your shop, I have received a card in the mail thanking me for stopping in, most recently including a gift card and referral card. This offers both monetary value for me and solidifies my positive impression of your customer service.(6) Cost. I think the price of your services is excellent. Although I dont think you charge any more than other automotive shops in the Holland area (perhaps even less), I would personally be willing to pay more for the kind of service you guys provide. You consider customers highly, and I encourage you to keep that up!(7) Student discount. As a Bible college student, I have intentionally chosen not to take out loans to pay for college, since I dont want to carry any debt. This means, however, that it takes time to pay for college. Receiving a discount simply for attending a Bible college is helpful and appreciated.I have already begun to tell others about my appreciation for your shop and plan to come back again. Thank you!

I used him because he had reasonable prices, good service, and just overall was accommodating and caring. I think I have found someone here in Holland who can provide the same for me now that I have tried Christian Brothers.They have a small but nice waiting room with fresh fruit. The whole place was very clean and well kept. I had to leave my vehicle overnight because of a part that needed to come in the next day. They gave me a ride so I didnt have to miss a doctors appointment that evening.All of the staff were friendly and both owners (husband and wife) were on site. It is great seeing owners that are involved and not absentee, knowing that you can get answers from the top if you need them.I can definitely recommend Christian Brothers as a place to get your car serviced after my experiences with them so far.
