Comment: UPDATE: Gave them another try and they were awesome! Very helpful and went out of their way to get me the info I needed. They were not able to help because the parts I need arent made anymore. They will do whatever they can for you though!!I didnt use this business because they never gave me the opportunity. I called for a quote on specific work I knew needed done. The computers were down so they asked if they could call me back when the computers were working again. Never heard anything. I called back a couple of days later because I hadnt heard anything. I was told the gentleman who took my first call was busy and he would call, or probably text me the quote. I received neither. I have no idea how their work is because the customer service is so poor I took my vehicle to a shop down the road. A shop that returned my calls promptly.

Comment: Nobody likes to have to bring their car in for repairs or maintenance because it usually means a nice chunk of change, but at least when I go to Christian Brothers for needed services Im treated well.The staff is always friendly and willing to explain details. The waiting room is BEYOND clean. They are pretty quick and efficient when it comes to getting the job done. When they tell you a wait time they are generally spot on.I also like the fact that you can go online and grab a coupon for an oil change to save a bit of money.Ive visited this location several times since moving into the area and feel like Ive found the garage I will continue to use to service my cars for a long time to come.

Comment: My sister helped me to discover this newly built auto repair place locally owned. right here on Plainfield right by Lowes. They told me exactly what I was looking at as far as the cost and parts .there was no hidden costs or suprises. They made me feel comfortable about their knowledge and experience.they even gave me a ride to come pick up my vehicle.But what really sold me on them was my 2003 Saturn that I had just recently purchased I took it into get it give it a once-over and maybe a tune-up and found out that the frame was corroded I actually put my mother in that vehicle and it could have been our last ride it was so corroded the radiator was about to fall out you wouldnt know by looking at the vehicle cuz it looked great so I thank my lucky stars for my sister and her decision to put the car in because I would have just kept driving it and said Ill tune it up later, well for this car theres really no later it could at any moment snap in half when he showed me pictures of it I almost cried so thank you Christian Brothers for being so awesome honest and true you dont find that very often nowadays!!??!!!!thanks a lot for everything!!!!!

Comment: I left this 5 star review 3 days ago when I brought my car in. In that 3 day span they managed to be so great I wish I could add more stars! When I say this shop really tries and cares for the people it helps I mean it! They helped show each problem with my car minor big everything then helped me with the price a little so I could actually afford the bill. Then they gave me a ride home and picked me back up when it was ready been driving all day and really happy with how it feels and runs and can definitely tell work was done. They helped me make a hard decision with knowledgeable guys in there. I appreciate this shop and will not be using any other shop ever again! You guys got me for life! Thanks again.

Comment: My car died in the Meijer parking lot next to their business, I walked to their shop, and even without an appointment they took my car in, and had the starter fixed next day. They even pushed my car to their shop for me, did not charge to tow or anything. They also had a shuttle to get me to work. They are a bit more expensive, but its definitely worth it, especially since there is a warranty on the part/service they provide. I would definitely return to them in the future for any work.

Comment: I drove to Grand Rapids this morning from Columbus, Ohio to make a delivery and needed to get back to Ohio as soon as possible.. Along the way my wheel bearing started groaning loudly. Called them before 8am and they got me in immediately, quickly diagnosed the problem and had me back on the road in less than 2 hours. Could have been faster but they kindly dropped me off at a local restaurant for breakfast and called to tell me it was finished before I was done. Price was great, including a nationwide warranty on the part and a veterans discount. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this shop!!!

I have a place to take my vehicles where I live so, finding a reputable place in an unfamiliar city is a chore.My sons truck needed to be serviced so I gave CBA a try.I had the chance to watch the service advisors work and as several customers came in and out, I did not see or hear them sell a service not needed. I even watched one advisor go out to make sure a customers vehicle used a timing belt.CBA opened a new facility in my area a few years ago and if my current auto shop disappoints me or I need a second opinion I will go to CBA.For now if my sons vehicle has any issues CBA is our choice.

Comment: I was incredibly impressed at the level of honesty this place had. My co-op student from out of town damaged their transmission on some new speed bumps that were way too high (I broke my bottom plate as well registering zero). The truck wouldnt shift into park! Christian Brothers could have easily kept it for a day or two and given her a great deal on a transmission repair but instead they repaired it for free. They quickly discovered debris lodged in a spot, removed it and sent her on her way. SO if youre a lone female with out of state plates theyll treat you right!

After my car was inspected to see what was causing the problem (squealing brakes and a burning smell), they gave me a detailed inspection report, complete with pictures and descriptions. Once I looked at the work they determined needed to be done, I decided to try my own hand working on the car problems with my handy dad. In spite of this decision, the staff at CBA remained very kind and offered to come shuttle me to their location so I could pick up my car (since otherwise I would have had to Uber there, since CBA had my car)! Free shuttle, no charge. Good conversation in the shuttle on the way there. Thank you, Brooke, for your kindness! I would recommend this place.

Following the work, I noticed a rattling sound in my car and it turned out a plastic piece on the interior had snapped. I called back to see if it might have happened during the work they had done, and while they were pretty sure it couldn’t have been done by their staff (it was in a different area than where they were working), they still ordered a replacement and installed it free of charge.

This company gave me a good referral towing number that came in 30 mins to tow my vehicle to Christian Brothers. I was very excited to get calls when new updates came in about my vehicle. Comment: The entire experience was exactly what every automotive repair experience should be.I arrived at 5:15pm (they close at 6) and explained the problems my Jeep was having. They took down notes, and explained they would look into the matter in the morning. They offered to drive me home at no cost, and/or a coffee/pop/snacks for the ride. My driver was nice and willingly drove me to the other side of town during rush hour.The next morning they text me to let me know they started working on my Jeep to diagnose the problem. They then called me that afternoon and explained what they thought was wrong and what it would cost and what other repairs or maintenance they recommended. They didnt try to sell me on what I didnt need either.Finally, they followed up with me over the phone a couple days later to see if the problem had been addressed and that my car was running properly.Excellent service; even if I have to pay a bit extra I will.

Comment: Christian Brothers Auto took great care of me when the dealership failed. I had an accident and had repairs performed at a dealership. When I got my care back. It had a noise I never heard before. And they told me there was nothing else they could do for me. So I continued to drive the vehicle until my vehicle broke down on me. Had it towed to Christian Brothers where they listen to my story and contacting my insurance. Come to find out my all wheel drive system had also been damage in my accident and was never reported to my insurance company by the dealership. Christian Brothers had my insurance company come back out to view this issue and was able to approve the work truly needed. If not I did not have the money to fix a problem that should have been correctly the first visit at the dealership. I would recommend Christian Brothers Automotive to anyone.

It is very hard to find such an honest, reliable and welcoming auto repair shop these days and this company is it. I will be taking all my automotive business there as well as recommending them to everyone I know. They even had my automobile ready way sooner than I expected. They found the problem right away and got it fixed right away. Other shops say my automobile would be ready by such a time and then I had to wait until they got around to fixing it a few DAYS later. I am more than pleased with this place so far.

My vehicle was due for some major work - shocks, struts, power steering pump...David and the service advisor worked to stay in my budget and informed me that they would check some components to see if they were still viable, so that I could get the most bang for my buck.Best of all, the work was done quick. Comment: This is our second experience with Christian Brothers. The first experience was flawless. Excellent customer service and quality repair. This time it wasnt as smooth. CB replaced an axle, wheel bearing, sensors, front and rear pads and rotors, and rear bushings. When we got the car back it was immediately obvious something was wrong. It turns out they did not torque the bolts on the rear driver caliper and it came loose. Why then 5 stars? Integrity. They admitted their mistake and handled the repair. They offered us a shuttle, free rental car, and even refunded a portion of the repair to make it right. To find an honest mechanic is a blessing. Their focus on customer service is a rare thing. Their 2 year, 24,000 mile (which ever benefits you most) warranty is amazing. We will be back a 3rd time. Humans make mistakes. Excellent humans own their mistakes and make it right.

It was one of the best ideas I had and I couldnt be happier with how they do business there.I walked in and didnt think that I was in an auto/mechanic shops office because it didnt smell like oil, rubber, etc. It actually was very organized, professional, clean, and made me feel like I was in a lobby of a hotel if Im being honest. That thoroughly impressed me and I had just walked in to the building.The customer service at the counter is TOP NOTCH! Talk about feeling like you are being treated as if you are family and the most important person in that office at that time. They make their sole focus, YOU, and do all that they can to relay accurate info as well as staying realistic, but keeping a sense of respect all at the same time.They offer a shuttle service to take you to and from your home, car rental, etc, while they work on your car and will also pick you up from there when you car is finished. I have NEVER heard of an automotive shop offering such an awesome service before. That helps them stand apart from all of the others.I recently went in there because of a noise my car was making, they diagnosed is accurately on the phone, I received verification when I went in to have it checked and they started the repairs. In the mean time, the nice young woman behind the counter, whos name I forget unfortunately, called Enterprise Rent-a-Car and got me a car for the time I would be without mine. Once again, that just blew my mind and I couldnt have thanked them enough for it. They arranged their shuttle service to pick me up, bring me to Enterprise, waited until I had a car, then picked me up from the car return when my car was finished being fixed.In my eyes, Christian Brothers Auto will have any and all business that my car will ever need. I will be bringing as many of my friends/family over as I can because I feel as if there is no other competition out there. They rise above everyone else. A+ rating all-around.

Rob, the manager, took a significant amount of time past closing hours to discuss my experience at his shop. The market Christian Brothers is trying to reach is the group of car owners who are looking for premium work and premium parts. As such, it should be expected that the technicians at Christian Brothers will have premium diagnostic fees and price quotes.Christian Brothers was not the right automotive shop for my purposes. I asked around, and Christian Brothers was the only one who could take my car in the next day! They were super friendly on the phone and happy to help me with my situation.I took my car in at 7:30 am, anticipating the dreaded wait time of having a car in the shop. Not only was their waiting room charming and air conditioned, but they kindly offered to drop me off wherever I needed to go for free as it might take a while. Comment: HONEST, QUALITY SHOP- Ive never been so satisfied with an automotive shop. These guys truly are a cut above the rest. As a car guy, I do most maintenance myself, and Im skeptical of many dealers/shops. First, my exhaust fractured and they repaired it the same day without an appointment. I then had severe clutch engagement problems arise. I had ruled out the hydraulic pumps and lines and was prepared to buy a new clutch so I told them to put one on order. One of their technicians took an extensive look at the entire clutch assembly and found it was a clutch fork issue (much less in repairs). Instead of following through with the clutch assembly they had ordered and make more money, they cancelled the order, fixed the issue, and I was charged a small fraction of what I was initially quoted. Talk about honesty and integrity! That right there sold me; these guys are the pinnacle of what auto shops should be. Communication was exceptional and the shuttle service was a huge plus. Christian Brothers, thank you for proving theres still honest, quality shops out there; youve gained another repeat customer and I will be referring you to others!

As a young female I do not find them at all intimidating or manipulative like other places, they are friendly, informative, and easy to work with! I appreciate the free shuttle service too as this has saved me a lot of time and hassle. I have had the same car worked on there for years and they guarantee their work, it is nothing but quality! Comment: Joe Rewa worked on our cars, a Dodge Charger and a Hyundai Santa Fe, and he was awesome! Dodge Chargers especially can be very tricky and frustrating to work with, but he did great! He made sure things were working properly, and always made sure things were done right before he sent us home with our cars. We will definitely visit him at Christian Brothers Automotive!

Comment: I had a very complex electrical problem in my vehicle that was very hard to diagnose. This was the second place I took my vehicle with the same problem with no luck at the first place. Christian Brothers spent all day with my vehicle figuring out what was wrong and went above and beyond. The mechanic was incredibly knowledgeable and fixed the issue at a fair price! Comment: I had an incredible experience at Christian Brothers. My husband was out of the country and our brakes were grinding. I popped in with my toddler and asked if they could look at them quick to see if I could wait a week to get them replaced. They immediately checked them out and said the car wasnt safe to drive. They committed to getting the car repaired by the next day and offered me a shuttle ride home. They even helped move and install the car seat! The staff was kind, honest, attentive, quick and professional. The brakes were replaced within 24 hours and the shuttle picked me up. They did great work on my car at a good price and have excellent customer service! I would highly recommend them!

Comment: After taking the car to 3 shops and spending a lot of money just because the mechanics cound´t find the problem, I finally looked for a good and professional mechanic shop. I found Crhistian Brothers. So, I went and the problem was very simple: a leak hose. I learn the lesson: don´t ever go with newbies. Go to a professional and certified shop. But what I liked the most about them, is that they are very honest, and it is hard to find an honest mechanic shop.

Comment: Great experience over all. I used another local mechanic for years and after getting several well that just seems high estimates from him I finally decided to shop around. Christian Brothers was literally 1/2 the price of the guy whose been working on my vehicles for years. Christian Brothers shuttle service had me at the office after only a 5 minute wait. Their shop is super clean and the waiting room is well stocked with reading materials. Denny was very informative and patient with my questions. When I got back over to pick up my truck it was freshly washed. Nice touch! Even though my old mechanic is a short walk from my office, I will strongly recommend Christian Brothers to my office mates after having such a great experience. Thanks!

Comment: Christian Brothers were very helpful and professional in servicing my car. I had a terrible noise that sounded like the car was breaking in two. They took the car in the day I called and called me back with a diagnosis and price quote the next day. The work was completed and I was allowed to use a coupon that I had. As a bonus they replaced and repaired my wind shield wipers at no cost. They also provided a Shuttle service which was pleasant and helpful. I would recommend Christian Brothers Automotive.. I felt that their pricing was fair and that the work was exactly what my car needed.

Comment: Shopped around town for a price for a basic repair for my sons car. They were the best price (using their coupon), and the service was outstanding. Problem happened on a Thursday. Others said they couldnt get the part for a couple days, so he wouldnt have a car over the weekend. Christian Bros said they could have the part Fri AM and have it done by 3 PM. Would use them again.

Comment: I was refereed out to Christian Brothers from the Tire Shop at Sams Club for a wheel alignment and I continue to take my vehicle there for all repairs and maintenance. Most recently my check engine light came on and hit several codes. One the repair was 500$ the other 1500$. They suggested starting with the less expensive one and driving it and seeing if the light came back. This speaks volumes to me as they could have just racked up my bill to over 2000$ and I would have been none the wiser. These guys are doing right by me and I would recommend them to anyone based on my experiences thus far.

Comment: Kurt Hein and his staff are outstanding--fair, competitive, honest, and competent. Ive had both my Honda Odyssey and Accura serviced there and the work was excellent. Recently my sister had taken her car to an allegedly reputable shop in Grand Rapids because she could smell gasoline and the engine was stalling. She called me about it and told me what this shop had quoted her to have it repaired. I thought the quote--over $1,100--was outrageous. I called Kurt, explained the problem, got a quote, and had the car towed from where it was to Christian Brothers where the repair was done for $650 and my sisters car has been trouble free ever since. I have no hesitation recommending Christian Brothers Automotive.

They help me keep on top of the maintenance of my vehicle and let me know the most important things to fix and give me a schedule for fixing it. Comment: Christian Brothers Automotive is the only place I will go! After continuously being told I needed things that I didnt, I have finally found a place that repairs only what my vehicle needs. As a female I often struggle with car repair places as they take advantage of your lack of knowledge and talk to you like youre and idiot all the way around. I am thankful for Dan who takes the time to explain things. He tells you whats wrong, what must be fixed, and what can be done at a later time. Most places would just try to take you for everything all at once. I also really appreciate they offer a service that will take you to work, fix your vehicle and pick you up when its done. Excellent customer service!
