Comment: All four of my tires were low air due to the bad snow storm and negative temps in early January. Went to Car Fix as it was on my way to work to get air into my tires. Their air hose was located inside and not outside where most were frozen. I was lucky to be there when it wasnt busy so I was in and out in 10 minutes. I asked how much and they said there was no charge. I was greeted with a smile and sent on my way with a smile. Great service! Thank you!

Comment: ORIGINAL POST:I came in with a coolant leak. After a review by a mechanic I was informed that the lower radiator hose failed and needed replacement. Parts were 20 mins away, and the job was about an hour. I authorized the work.My Jeep was serviced about 2 weeks prior for a sticking thermostat. At that time the coolant system was flushed and refilled, and the thermostat was replaced. So I was surprised that I was being charged for a 2nd system flush. I understand replacinging damaged parts and missing components. But flushing the system, I believe, was totally unnecessary.I was trying to sell the Jeep, and the new owner drove in from St. Joseph, MI to buy the vehicle. The hour and a half I was quoted wound up being 5 hours. The buyer was trying to make his sons hockey game in Kalamazoo... which he missed.Although staff was polite, I wouldve preferred to have been updated on the vehicle process in a more timely manner. I had to call in twice to get and update, and all I received was itll be ready shortly. I wouldve spent more time obtaining clarification, but the new owner needed to get in the road and I didnt want to delay him any more than necessary.And I also think charging for a 2nd coolant system flush was excessive. These are practices that cause customers to 2nd guess their mechanics and leave a bad light on the industry as a whole.5 hours to replace a lower radiator hose and system coolant is not acceptable ... in any repair shop.Going forward, I wonder what Car Fix will do to retain my business? Up until now, Ive been satisfied. But the future has been clouded with doubt and uncertainty.UPDATE:I was contacted by management (and the Owner) about this visit. After a close review of the bill, it appears that I was not charged for the system flush, as I was told. The bill was for parts and labor. BUT, we did agree that that 5 hours was too long for this repair, and that they dropped the ball by not keeping me in the loop.I was offered an agreeable solution for this matter, for which I wont discuss here. I think each dispute can, and should, be resolved on its own merits. I am willing to remain a customer as long as Car Fix is willing to maintain their best practices attitude.

Every problem was explained thoroughly and in terms that I could understand. I didnt feel any remorse for spending $2,500 because I felt strongly that they were doing a great job and I could rest easy afterward. I wont go to any auto shop except this one from now on.

After putting off doing my brakes on my Honda Civic for months, it got to the point where they started to grind and I was not able to drive on local roads or highways.The staff was very helpful on the phone, and they got my car in right away. I dropped my car off overnight, and immediately got a call first thing in the morning when they opened. They explained everything that would need to be done on my car, and even sent pictures to show which repairs were needed. Within a few hours they took care of all my brakes, calipers, and let me know what to expect in the future for maintenance.Very competitive pricing, I called around many shops before bringing it in and was very satisfied with the price, although with the service I received I would happily pay more. Very fast, efficient and good quality service. It’s been 6-7 months since and I have not had a single issue10/10 service, would definitely rate it higher if I could. I’ll be bringing my family’s cars here as well in the future. Thank you Car Fix!

Comment: My used car just very recently had an oil change with another company. After that my car felt badly different. Then I noted fluid on my garage floor which was not there before. Having a bad result from the oil change, I took the car to Car Fix. They told me right away that it was not engine oil but transmission oil and they did the necessary repair and checked the car for other needed services. They were personable, polite and respectful. They were upfront and explained in terms I can understand what problems the car had and what needs to be done to fix them and how much. I will recommend them to anyone who needs a car fixed.

Comment: The guys here are amazing at getting what you need done for the right price. i walked in knowing there was issues with my suspension but wasn’t quite sure what was needed. greeted by Ryan at the counter, he was professional, kind, and understanding about my issue. he took my keys and another employee kyle test drove my car! i have never once seen a repair shop test drive a vehicle, and honestly very glad they did so they can know what to look for!! One they were done test driving, they had one of the mechanics, Jim, inspected my car and wrote out exactly what was needed to be done so i could safely drive my car. He then took me in the mechanic shop and SHOWED me what was wrong with the car. Not many places do that sort of thing so i was super impressed that they did. I let them fix whatever they needed to and they were SUPER quick about it. i needed all new front suspension, brakes and rotors, and some rear suspension work as well and they had it all done the SAME day in less than 3 hours!!! once they were done with the work, Ryan called me and let me know it was ready with an estimated quote. when i got there, both him and Aj got me an amazing deal on the work of my car. everyone here is super friendly. thank you to AJ, Jim, Kyle, and Ryan for the best experience anyone could have for getting my car repaired!! forever going to be a customer here and will always recommend CarFix.

They are connected to CarFax and can see the history of my vehicle which I love. He remembers repeat customers and recognized me. He got the paperwork started and arranged to get me home before a thunderstorm came in. Within just a couple hours (same day), they diagnosed the issue as a common failure item for my vehicle (Pressure Control Valve and Rear Main Seal). In addition, while I had the car up, they did the brakes (rotors and pads), fuel induction service, intake service, fuel filter, rear shocks, brake flush, and an oil flush. I only mention all of this because I still got the car back within just two days! They treated me fairly, were transparent on parts and pricing, and did the work in ridiculous timing. Their front desk staff stayed well-informed on the progress of repairs from their technicians, and relayed info accordingly. Comment: Found my new one stop shop for all of my car troubles. This location is right by the highway so very quick to get to, the inside is beautiful, very clean and open. There are so many spots to hangout and get work done if you need to wait for your car. They have free snacks, drinks and a coffee machine. The staff are very friendly, honest and knowledgeable. They won’t do any unnecessary work like other shops do. Very cheap and affordable prices. I got my engine and brake issues fixed as well as an oil change. They were super efficient and did a great job explaining the work and how to take care of my car in the future.

I have never been in a shop that has a fancy lobby as CarFix. The speed of service and just the genuine care for my vehicle is unheard of in a mechanic industry. Comment: I took my 2014 Jeep in for an headlight, they noticed a few other issues that I had, AJ who took GOOD care of me hands down the best customer service Ive had in a LONG TIME!! Not the type of place that tries to force you into getting things you really dont need. Work place is VERY clean, even inside the garage area. Even offered to drop me off and pick me up from home. M Hanson was the Tech who also took good care of my vehicle. Definitely will be going back for more service work. Thanks Guys. Comment: Quick review: those guys fixed my tire leak in 10 minutes for FREE!Full story: I was called by my wife that she got a flat tire. So I set my GPS to Car Fix Troy. On my way here, I stopped at every single place that can offer a tire repair. First said one and a half day, second said at least the next day. Third place charged me $30 and spent one hour in the car, didnt fix the problem at all. I didnt even bother going back to get my money back. At last, the mechanics here solved my problem and saved my day in 10 minutes without charging me anything.Thank you!

Comment: Total pros working up front and in the shop. My SUV was making some gnarly squeaks coming from the wheels. The team explained the problems with my calipers, brakes and rotors. Their explanations made me feel confident that they truly knew what needed to be done to fix the problems. Comment: This place was not able to accurately diagnose my problem and replaced the water pump without able to see where other leaks were coming from and still charged me $400. The car still had a major coolant leak. I then discussed with people and other mechanics and they said it was inappropriate for them to charge so much for a job that didnt fix the car. So I called them back for some refund or credit towards future work. They said they will get back to me and never did and then did not answer my call.Aug 9th 2022: Car fix called me today and attempted to make things right. I sincerely appreciate their efforts in which they provided some credit and free work towards a future job.

Comment: Since my old car place the guy retired and closed shop, I tried this brand new shop. Needed a oil change and a check engine light looked at. They got me right in. The Chrysler dealership was 3 weeks out just for an appointment. Managers name is AJ, hes great! Prices are reasonable and service has been top notch. Sometimes car places explain things to women like we are dumb, and it feels like they just want to take advantage because you dont know any better.He didnt do that but he did offer a clear and thorough description.
