Comment: I was having an issue with my manual and was very nervous trying to find a mechanic. After submitting a quote request to a few places, Car Fix Shelby very quickly contacted me to see when I could come in so they could properly diagnose the issue. After finding the problem, they sent me a link to a portal where I could see the work they were doing. I was able to see a video of what was wrong with my car, which I have never seen before at a mechanic! They are very honest people and made me feel well taken care of. They are very busy and will still get their work done within reasonable time. Pricing is decent as well. I will be coming back for any future work my car might need and will recommend to friends and family! I could not stop smiling on my way home from how beautifully my Fiesta drove :)

I was on my way to work when my tire blew out early in the morning and they happened to be located within a short distance, pulled in, and they put on my spare allowing me to get it to where I needed to go. They did it immediately even though I had never been a customer and they were quite busy. Its rare to see this kind of service these days- I will be using them in the future based off this first impression- thanks!

Another shop told me $300 for one thing I needed. $600 for both. They’re doing both things for $240. Very honest!! 10/10 recommend. When shops are charging $130 an hour for labor and they’re charging a quarter of that, it is a no brainer!

Comment: I was in Detroit for an ice hockey tournament. My 2010 Honda Odyssey had a misfire. The van had this issue one other time. I was able to drive the van to Car Fix right before they closed on Saturday. Justin was able to look at the van. They were closed on Sunday. He assured me they would have the van fixed on Monday. Justin has excellent customer service skills. He was able to clearly explain the vans issue. I met Shakel who also had phenomenal customer service skills. They knew I was from Indianapolis and needed the van repaired quickly. I had a lot of confidence after speaking with Justin and Shakel. They had the van ready on Monday. They work with you and don’t try to nickel and dime you to death! They are very up front and honest with you on what your car needs done! I took my car to the mechanic the dealer recommended and they couldn’t find any problems said I can drive all the way to Florida and back took the noise and vibration got worse and worse brought it to the mechanics I trust at car fix they pin pointed the problem and fixed my car! They fix my car and I never have to go back a week later w another issue like a lot of places that fix something then break something else so you have to go back car fix does not do that! The service advisors are amazing too and they have a shuttle and open on Saturdays

I trust their guidance when it comes to making sure my car is in good running condition.I had to have 2 tires replaced. I got a quote from Rich before the COVID shutdown. They are so nice courteous professional and give a great name to mechanics everywhere. Ive had my car worked on here several times and they always do such a good job at a fair price and put the customer first. Today after I left I noticed something wasnt right and I called them back and justin instructed me to come back and he would look at it personally and regardless of them already being closed for over an hour he proceeded to fix the mistake that had been made and did the right thing. I wont ever go anywhere else but here and neither should you. They are the best shop in shelby twp. Probably in michigan. Comment: After ditching out money to other repair shops and the issue still unresolved. I visited here feeling discouraged and just ready to trade my car in . I decided to give it another chance . I visited this location, they performed a free diagnostic test. To get down to the root problem , they need to perform more tests . They offered me a ride home so I did not need to wait in lobby. I received a call a couple hours telling me the problem and solution. I was able to pick my car up in 24 hours. I had such a great experience with them all. Comment: UPDATE 4/14/23:Went back to Car fix to get some engine issues fixed because another shop told me I needed an engine on my Town and Country. The other shop quoted 9k for a used replacement(with 75k miles, my car has 85k!) The tech at car fix did a cylinder leak down test(I guess?) And found a bad exhaust valve. They replaced the head on my van same week with a new one and had me back on the road! They also informed me of other issues with the car but were not pushy. Best shop experience Ive ever had. Lifetime customer!Went in when my brakes were making all sorts of noises. I sat down in the lobby and my car was being pulled in immediately. I had an answer and an estimate in no more than 5 to 10minutes. They even did the brakes while I waited and I was on the road very quickly. Very pleased with the service and Shakel for keeping me updated throughout. Would never go anywhere else.

Comment: The best in town. One of my tires stem valve was broken. I took the tire to them and I was expecting they will refuse the work because its too small job or at least take the tire and tell to come back later. As soon as I arrived they took the key and within 5 minutes the stem valve was replaced with a new one and the tire was back on. They also replaced a bad lug nut. The surprise was they refused to charge me and did all the work for free. Best shop I have ever been to. Recommended if you looking for nice, skilled and honest car shop.

Fixed and working again.With positives come negatives.I needed a new washer reservoir replaced. Emailed and was told, come on in for free estimate. I was given a quote, would be under $200. I did do my research ahead of time. The part i needed was under $60 and that was for the most expensive one that I could find. Cheapest $38. So I figured must be labor to bring up to $200. So I figured about $130/hr labor fees high end, and bill should be about $190. Close but nope.Not sure who they get the parts from, but this one they got was $86. Are you kidding me. Its a 2009 Ford escape not a Ford expedition. I got charged for disposal fee, of what,my old reservoir? Couldnt be the solvent as they said that was bone dry. Heck, I could have tossed(recycled) that reservoir myself and saved $7. I also got hit up for some fee called shop supplies, again of what? Screwdrivers? Washer fluid? Come on now. Petty. The little extras not mentioned, add up. Final bill was $216. I get that may not be alot to some, but if youre going to quote, maybe high end quote it. Another thing I thought was weird was you had to put a deposit down, before they worked on your car, weird.Overall, I was most impressed by their outgoing personalities.Not impressed with added in extra costs.

Had a bad seal on the new part and they warrantied it when it leaked again no questions asked.Also brought my own parts for a good coolant flush, belts, thermostat and pulley replacement and they did the job fast and communicate extremely well.I do spring maintenance with them too now they check everything well for you and complete all flushes, inspections and mileage-sensitive maintenance based on your vehicle.Always a good experience when I go with Car Fix Shelby, I moved and continue to drive an hour out of my way just to have them do work for me. Comment: Went to the dealer for a loud exhaust and was told needed manifold. Got a second opinion and all i needed was a new exhaust bolt for the clamp. Didnt even charge me and it took 10 minutes. Honesty and trust seems to be scarce and im glad i found these guys! Highly recommend!

Comment: I went in when my air was blowing hot, and when I got there they had a technician looking at the car within 5 minutes of me setting foot in the door. They informed me that my AC compressor was bad and fixed it right away! I was so happy to have cold air in time for the heat today! Comment: Took a car we were interested in to have an inspection done here and I am impressed with the professionalism and honesty, great customer service and personable. Spoke to us with kindness and mr.miah had an employee drive us to to retrieve our vehicle since the seller left us at the shop lol. This gets a 10/10 5 stars in my book. They even refunded me some of my money from the inspection. Got us in and out, also gave us a reasonable quote to fix a camaro engine and was honest about the prices and labor costs. I really like this place and it’s employees.

Comment: On my last visit, I came in with a flat that needed two plugs. I was in and out in 15 minutes with a ridiculously low price. Shakel and his team were like an Indy pit crew! However, another place, (Reys Auto on Schoenherr where the flat occurred) wanted to replace the whole tire - and it was a brand new car!The guys at Shelby Tire and Car Fix are rock stars - theres no reason to to take your car anywhere else.

Comment: I was visiting family in MI a couple of weeks ago, I drove from South Florida and I had noticed I needed wheel alignment on my 2008 Mazda CX-9 as I had already rotated the tires in Atlanta after noticing while driving that the steering was pulling a little to the right. Long story short is that this problem was fixed, I think I was charged a fair amount as a cost/benefit it was better than letting the tires deteriorate as they were new tires. In all, great service, fair pricing and good timing.

Comment: Bought Firestone Weathergrip tires at this store at a great price. These tires have an excellent rating. As soon as I got in and drove the car, I noticed how much better the car rode and how much more responsive the steering was. I could not be happier. The Michelins I had on there were hard riding and poor in wet and snow. Definitely recommend these Weathergrips and Shelby Tire who sold and installed them.

Comment: Always excellent, friendly service ...I took my 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan in for oil change. Thankfully the guys check it thoroughly. Because I was getting ready to drive a few long trips, I needed it checked out. Richard found a broken piece related to a filter and absolutely filthy cabin air filter (dog fur, leaves, dirt) and another horrid looking filter. No wonder I noticed issues when driving....The guys and Richard took care of the problems and I feel I can drive safely now.The best part is that Richard always explains whats wrong before moving ahead on anything and explains why it impacts functionality of the engine.Appreciate the respect afforded me each time I take my van in for service. Comment: We took my daughters car there because it was having issues starting. Dealership said it would be three to five days before they could look at it. Richard got us in right away! Looked it over and discovered the problem was the aftermarket auto start system. Call the manufacturer of the system who suggested we take it back to the original installer which was Best Buy. Richard had taken the time to look it over, call the manufacturer of the auto start, got the car to start it didnt even charge us for his time. He did notice that the dealership had stripped out the screws on a part under the car when they go to do the oil change and fixed it. Comment: Bought recently purchased used SUV in with steering wheel shake starting at ~60mph. Rich re-balanced and rotated the wheels front to back. During hour commute this morning, shake is gone, no vibration anywhere.Also found the source of an under body rattle and fixed on the spot.Additionally, he pointed out heel toe wear on my front wheels letting me know the previous owner had put 10 ply truck tires on my short wheel base SUV. The wear will continue until I put a proper set of tires on. He quoted a couple options.Overall very knowledgeable. Competitive pricing.My go to place for wheel/tire from now on.Highly recommend.

Comment: Just before my daughter was leaving for a trip out of town she noticed that her 2008 Honda CRV was pulling a little bit and wondered if the front-end needed to be aligned. I told her to see Richard at Shelby Tire and Auto and they would take care of her. They discovered it wasnt an alignment problem but the tires were just getting a little older so they switched the tires on the front and fixed the pulling problem and gave her an estimate on new tires. It was great to know I could refer my daughter to Shelby Tire and Auto where the service is professional and honest and the prices are very reasonable. Youll be hard-pressed to find a better place to bring your car for automotive work than Shelby Tire and Auto. I have used them several times and have been pleased every time.

Comment: Today I got a flat tire on the way to a meeting that I was suppose to to be there to help with. So on my way I got a flat tire I was 1/2 a mile away. It was late on a Friday, so I just assumed that I would be driving back West on a donut tire (not fun). Comment: Quality ServiceNot only did I get great service, I was also provided with the proper fluids at the right levels, something I have realized that I was not getting at other drive-through service stations. All fluids were topped off, and my tires properly inflated (even the spare, which I dont believe was eve check by other locations, including the dealership). To keep your vehicle running over the long term, it is essential that you use the recommended oils at the right level.

Comment: Been going to Richard for years. Very cut and dry dependable service. He/they will tell you everything you need and nothing you dont. Back in Feb (15) the windshield washer line on my minivan snapped and the door locks no longer work via the key FOB. He said there was nothing he could do for the locks since the FOB needed to be reprogrammed by the dealer, but to my surprise he repaired the washer line for NO CHARGE! That was a great feeling, and I will definitely be back.

Comment: The trans axle on my grandsons hybrid apparently have been grinding for quite a while and making a horrible noise Ford motor wanted over $8000 took it to Car Fix instead. They gave me several possibilities that they could try to do to try and keep the price down even with replacing the trans axle And having to clean metal shavings out of a lot of different areas repairing a broken axle and cleaning out the transmission cooler. It was still almost $1000 less than Ford and they’re giving me a free oil change. They were amazing very friendly on time no great delays. Amazing shop.i will DEFINITELY use them again!
