Comment: After starting to have issues with my car, I took it to a different local shop. That shop didnt take much time to diagnose the issue, and they gave me incorrect info that would have been very pricey to replace the wrong part. I then brought it to Barrons who then took the time to explain to me what was likely going on, explain what tests were needed and why, and they never had any problem with me saying Im going to do the repairs myself. I spent several hours doing my own research on everything Barrons told me too, and I never felt like I was getting bad info. In the end, I just need a new car, but Barrons is going to be my local auto shop that Ill rely on from here on out.Brandon and their mechanic were great to chat with and learn from, and while my experience wasnt cheap, their prices were very appropriate.

Comment: Car issues? Call Barrons.Very impressed with the service. Gave them a call with a no start issue, they fit me in next day and I was out the door day of repair. They cured my starter issue and found a crack in my belt while at it. They sent pictures of all areas of concern, including my brakes which I was aware were getting worn, again extremely impressed, I have never had a repair shop provide pictures! Typically I do my own repairs, but my garage is a good 500 miles south, their rates are very fair, and employees super friendly. I highly recommend! 👍

Comment: I live six hours downstate and I was making my way up to Marquette yesterday, and I broke down 20 minutes from my Airbnb. When I was stuck at AutoZone, I called Barron’s and spoke to Brandon. The guy at AutoZone told me that I no longer had a belt attached to my alternator and I could clearly see that as well. I was completely unable to drive my car. After having it towed for the night, the guys were able to squeeze me in (thank goodness!!) Lucky for me. Two cars did not show up to their appointments and they were able to get me back on the road, all fixed by noon!!!! I am able to carry-on with my work trip. THANK YOU for saving me!!!!

They told me they would make sure to have it done by early Tuesday the following week so I could leave Thursday. They had my car done on the following Monday morning. They use an online system for scheduling and providing estimates which made it very convenient to approve the repairs that I wanted. It was around $500 (parts and labor) to replace both of my rear rotors and brake pads which I dont think is too bad. Definitely reccomend this place! Thanks!

Comment: My son drives our higher mileage vehicle at school in Marquette, MI. The battery died on him in the parking lot just as he was coming home. We had the car towed to Barton’s and they were able to look at the car the same day it was towed in. They sent me over an estimate by text message for the repairs, super easy process being 18hrs away. Repair was done quickly after approved. Hopefully we don’t have anymore issues but I know if we do we’ll be using Barton’s!

They dont try and push repairs on you that you dont need, in fact, they are usually excited to call and tell me that the repairs were actually less than quoted! I appreciate that they quote me for what may be needed for the entire scope of the issue, rather than calling to tell me it will actually be more than the quote because something else was wrong that they didnt cover. There was so much more wrong with my brake system than I could’ve ever imagined...as they worked they kept finding more and more problems. They kept me up to date with information and when they didn’t have the parts, they found them elsewhere SO fast. They stayed after hours to fix the issues they kept finding and got all of it done within two days of bringing my car in. Their communication, dedication, and affordability were astoundingly amazing. I can not recommend them enough....20/10 would recommend. When I picked up my car they gave me a full rundown of everything they did, which was way more than what I paid for. Comment: I was able to schedule an appointment two weeks ago, and dropped my vehicle off this morning. By 11 am, I received a phone call saying I could pick it up! They diagnosed the problem and had completed the fix the same day. It was an easy fix, but a greatly needed one. They explained exactly what they did to fix the problem, making sure I understood what had been done. Another plus is the cost of the repair was fair, not overpriced. I am extremely satisfied with Barrons Auto Repair! The wait for an appointment was well worth the customer service and work done!

Comment: Car started smoking on Sunday, called around on Monday, and Keith was able to get me in on Tuesday. He didnt charge for looking it over because he said he didnt want to charge for bad news, that my head gasket was getting into the later stages of bad. I was going out of town for a week the next day, and this was over Christmas as well, and he was very accomodating, charging 1/3 of the estimate as a down payment and storage fee to keep the car around for so long. It did take a few days longer than expected, but they worked after hours and communication was fantastic. Very much a small-town type operation, with all the good and bad that comes with it: theyre a small shop, but friendly and helpful and didnt try to sell me anything I didnt need.

Turned out my engine wasn’t actually overheating but that the thermometer sensor wasn’t working, and so they got the replacement parts and fixed it the same day, and I haven’t had a problem with the sensor ever since.

Andy told me they were booking out 4 weeks, which obviously wouldn’t work for me being on vacation. Rather than tell me he couldn’t get me in, Andy asked what the issue was. Once he knew what was wrong with the truck, he told me he would work it in throughout the day in between jobs and get it back to me in a day. He called to update me on the issue, and offered the total fix as well as an option that would get the truck running and get me home safely to save me some money. He emphasized that he wanted to get the truck done quickly so I could have it while on vacation. This is probably the best customer service I’ve ever received from a shop, and I couldn’t recommend them enough! Thank you for getting me back on the road in a timely fashion!

I had the stabilitrac sensor and traction control sensors showing up, plus it coded for an O2 sensor. They fixed the O2 sensor, but it idled rough and didnt code for stabilitrac or traction control. They found a plug wire arching on the block that was causing the electrical shorts. Awesome job and thanks.

I called to get my a squeak in my car looked at, the guys at Barrons Auto Repair said I could drop it off and they would look at it that night or I could set up an appointment the next week. I was heading downstate the next week so I opted to drop it off.2 hours later they gave me a call saying a belt was bad and a tensioner. They then said that they could take care of it that night. I was very happy to hear that. Another few hours later they said it was all set. I said I would pick it up the next day due to being at work that night. I told them I would pick it up at 3 the next day. We arrived at 315 my car was cleared of snow after a pretty heavy storm and running, warming up for me.They were polite, fast and gave me a fair price even though I didnt know anything about cars.
