He and his team make sure to take care of their customers the best they can, never over charge and will even help you save money or make recommendations to lower your cost. Everyone of his competitors in the same area, over charge. I went to him once and got a tire refill and patch free because I didnt have cash and he was charging me less than $10 I believe. Another tire needed help but he was closed a few weeks later so I went across the street and for the same service, they were asking for $25! I waited until the next day and made sure I had double the cash to cover the free patch Baba had done previously and a generous tip! I can never anywhere else, it is so hard to find a trustworthy mechanic and he is it!

His kindness alone would have me coming to his shop, but kindness and a superb mechanic in one setting, I’ve hit Gold. It’s hard out here to find a respectable mechanic like Mr. Baba (mind you, you have to be respectful as well, because respect is earned, not give). He didn’t start fixing my car with most expensive diagnostics possible. He started with the least expensive. They flushed the system and cleaned out the pipes. They looked at it promptly Monday and informed us that the car can be started and it will work provided some instructions were followed. They left us a choice if we wanted to replace the fuel pump. They quoted a price and we agreed but when we went to pick up the car they charged even less. They didn’t need to do that. No pressure not stress, they let us know what our choices were and gave us the best price. For their honesty, I’d recommend them to anyone.

He will tell you straight up if its an issue that can be fixed or not, no attempts to get work done on the car if it isnt required. If you need a trustworthy guy who will tell you the truth, this is the place. My Honda has an oil burning problem. Dealership service set up an appointment for diagnostics that was 2 weeks out. Had my car checked here. He told me this is a known issue with the car, not something unique to mine. I read up online and sure enough, lots of stories of there with the same symptoms. Dealership service wants to bill me $160 just to check what the problem is, knowing full well this is a well documented issue. Brought it here and had the truth laid out for me. 10/10 this will be my first stop for any vehicle trouble.

Comment: The owner Baba is one of the most genuine and down to earth person Ive ever dealt with. He doesnt charge for inspection, tells you exactly what you need to change or if you can wait for few weeks or months before you need to change. He would even let you buy parts from elsewhere and only charge labor, which is only $60 or so (for most customers).Service is quick, most of the time there are 3 or more people working.Customer service is good but it can get crowded on weekends as there is a huge number of returning customers, so make sure you call ahead of time, explain your issue and he can tell you when you should show up.

Baba is very knowledgeable and so is his 2 brothers who also work there as mechanics.Matter of fact I was chatting with them and found out its a wholly family owned business.This is not my first rodeo with vehicles. Have had many since I got my license close to 30 yrs ago. Not my 1st GM either. I have my own class 1 OBD2 tester and reset tool even. (Class 2 was too much money)So a little bit about me, or rather my suv. Bought it last October 2017 and had nothing but issues. So my friend and colleague suggested I take it to Baba. My vehicle is a 2010 Cadillac SRX AWD Performance edition. Having said that, anyone who has one those early years after the body redesign knows of the issues.I went over yesterday Thursday afternoon and explained to Baba the issues. I told him of my P0017 code as well.He immediately informed me, that he will be unable to tackle that cause it may require an engine overhaul that he does not do. However he will fix my ABS brake issue.After running a test he informed me the part I needed and if I should buy my own he will install it for me.Do understand not a lot of shops do that anymore. I went home looked around and found my part, and bought it with a 2 yr warranty less than $100 USD.Today I showed up in the morning around 9am, Baba has me on the lift at 9:15am, his brother worked on my vehicle, and they were lowering the vehicle at 10:15am. While I sat around. Not many shops do that also. They want you to drop off your car and they will call you when done.Then Baba asks me to test drive and if I like to come on back. Which shop does that in America? Now that is trust in a customer. A new customer with who he has no prior experience.I test drove my vehicle and returned happy. Baba had already left, test driving another car, his brother finalized the sale, with a $30 discounted than the quoted price.Baba Auto of Westland, you have a new customer and going forward, all our vehicles, mine and my wifes will be at your doorstep for repairs and maintenance.And lastly, thank you being such an honest person. The honest mechanics are rare nowadays. So you have a fan!!!!An added note: If I would have gone to a Cadillac dealer this was a $750 to 1000 job. I got it done way way less than that and in one hour. Not have my car held on to for a day or two.

Comment: After going to the Hyundai dealership and being quoted $1800 dollars to replace my steering column I went to Baba for a second opinion. Baba told me worst case he could replace the column for $400 dollars so I told him to go ahead and do it. When I came to pick it up he said he was $120 because they were able to repair it instead of replacing it. He easily could have charged me the full price and I would have never know. I’ve been back one time since for another issue and I was taken care of again. I appreciate the customer service immensely!

Comment: Dealership told me that there are issues with front left Axle of my car; and asked for immediate replacement labor and parts cost was $1300 +.Someone at my work recommended BABA for second opinion; I was lucky to see him, he was nice polite person, spent 10/15 minutes and told that there is no need to change the whole assembly on the left side as quoted by the dealership; only a part replacement will fix the issue. All it took me around $ 200. It is almost a year, drove 15-20 k miles since that and everything is fine.I would recommend BABA Auto Repair and assure you that you will get honest quotes and professional service. You may have to wait if they are busy.
