Comment: Ive been using a variety of shops around the Mt Pleasant area for 15+ years. Auto Lab is not the least expensive, but they seem knowledgeable, competent, and fair. Ive had several repairs done on our aging vehicles here, and Ive seen Auto Lab folks readily remember (and inquire about) past issues just to make everything was still functioning well. There were a couple of ongoing issues that needed multiple visits, including a faulty part they installed, figured out, replaced (from a different supplier) and replaced free of charge. If a repair doesnt seem to stick, get in touch with them soon and explain the issue. Also, the printed out notes/recommendations for future repairs are the most detailed Ive seen from any shop.

Let me know about other issues with my car but didnt try to push a sale. Knew me by name when I walked in for the first time ever. I am extremely happy with my service.I have an extra compliment as well! When I arrived to pick my car up, an older gentleman was in there. He was angry about a charge he didnt like. Was very rude and condescending toward the worker behind the counter. Kept demanding his name and before he left name dropped someone I assume is important. Good job to the worker (owner?) for keeping his cool. He handled old man Ray with extreme professionalism and was able to take care of me with kindness and professionalism even though I could tell his nerves were high.20/10 would recommend

Brought it in to Auto Lab, and they had it fixed and back to normal within a few hours, and even inspected the rest of the vehicle and pointed out other potential repairs that I should keep an eye on, making sure to stress that they are not repairs that need to be taken care of immediately. This will be my go-to auto shop from now on.

Of course you can always politely ask for the repair that you are looking for instead of all the extras, but is always nice to know how your vehicle is doing! Follow warranties and work on every issue you could imagine. They do a good job, help with foreign makes which is hard to find help for!

The staff were helpful, courteous, and quick, with a good sense of humor.They could have nickeled and dimed me for things, or rounded up the hours when calculating time spent repairing my vehicle, but not only did they not do that (they only charged for 0.3 of an hour, talk about honesty!), but they also diagnosed an issue that had been troubling me about my car for free. They asked before doing any service that cost money, and explained the steps they took in a way that was easy to understand without being condescending.I dont know what shop these one-star reviewers went to, but it didnt resemble the Auto-Lab I visited in the slightest. If you are hesitant because of the reviews, I would say to give them a shot. You wont be disappointed. They have earned a repeat customer in me this day.

Comment: I have been going to Auto-Lab for a year now and wish I would have been going for longer. Cullen and Scott greet everyone with a smile and make sure they explain everything going on with the car that they saw. Whether it has been for a simple oil change or for other repairs, they explain what is going on and what causes that type of problem. They also give a great overall inspection while doing an oil change and do FREE tire rotation every time. I love how they will give you a heads up of repairs that they see coming down the road and an estimate of what it will cost so you can begin saving for them in the future. They also dont put pressure on you by telling you when you need to get it fixed, but rather inform you of an idea of how soon you should get it taken care of. They are great with their customers and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend them to anyone for complete car repair!!

Comment: The Auto Lab was fantastic! :) I was hesitant at first in taking my car into them due to some of the negative reviews however I found their auto service and customer service to be above par!! Cullen and Scott helped me out from the moment I walked in the door. I took my 2002 Ford Taurus in due to having some form of gas leak and after a free inspection of the car they provided me a quick review of everything they recommended I needed to repair on my vehicle and then provided me detailed information on the specific repair that needed to be done to fix my gas leak (replace the gas tank). They found the problem with my car, ordered the part, and had it fixed in less than 24 hours! When I picked up my vehicle, Scott then went over all the repairs and what to do together to help save costs in the future. I paid for the repairs that I had done (which was exactly what I requested and nothing more) and the amount I paid was less than the amount that I was quoted (though they are really spot on in their quotes)! Overall I couldnt have asked for a better service! I would highly recommend taking your vehicle into Auto Lab! Voice any concerns you have up front and be respectful and honest with them and they will do the same! Thank you guys for making my horrible car trouble become a positive experience! I see why AAA recommends you and I look forward to doing the rest of my car repairs with you!

Auto lab figured out what the problem was in just 30 minutes and it cost me less than $100 to fix the problem. Auto Lab is truthworthy and I certainly would use them again.
