I’ll need my front brakes done soon, and I’ll definitely be returning. It’s good to have found a guy who I believe genuinely has peoples’ best interests at heart! Comment: First a big THANK you to Chuck. Our son goes to school over there and needed a repair the shop went above and beyond to get him back up and running all while remaining honest and affordable. Chuck explained and showed him in detail what was repaired and how and what had happened to create the breakage. We run a repair business as well on the other side of the State and we could not have appreciated the Courtesy, kindness and honesty enough. I highly recommend Al Deans Auto Repair.

They went above and beyond to work with me with some personal road blocks in getting the repairs done. Kudos to this team- the best! When I went to get my tires replaced, Firestone asked where I got my brakes done because the work was such great quality. I originally came in to Al Deans based on a referral from a family member who shared they treated them like family and were very honest in this industry!!

Comment: Chergo has saved my car multiple times- I have gone to him for bad brakes, broken bumpers, and even just for weird sounds coming from my car. I would never go to any other place- he treats everyone like family and the whole team is kind and respectful. He goes the extra mile, gives me advice- and likely saved my life by telling me to get new tires (which he does not sell) just because he noticed the tread on mine were worn almost completely down. I live a very on-the-go life and keeping up with my cars needs is something I often run out of time to do/notice- Chergo has gotten me out of pinches too many times to count.If you’re looking for honest business, a fair deal, awesome work, and a place that will take care of you and your car as if you were family- this is it. Comment: I found some oil marks on the ground where my car usually parks. My husband sent my car to a garage nearby to check the problem. They told him it was the transmission leak and they were not able to repair it. He then took my car to AI Deans. He had his car repaired at here before and is very satisfied with their service. They checked my car and found it was actually the transfer case that was leaking. It is very expensive to repair/replace the transfer case. They suggested my husband to check with the dealer as soon as possible because it might be still under the warranty. They even recorded a clear video to show the leaking problem so that we can show the dealer the problem. My husband sent the car to a dealership and was told it was still under warranty. They replace the case without any charge!!! AI Deans helped us to save a few thousand dollars!!!

Comment: The most professional, courteous, honest, and efficient service I have ever experienced. The owner was so kind and warm-hearted. Every summer I was suffering from the AC issue and the dealer never really fixed it. I was so frustrated and decide to turn to this auto repair shop for help. They spent only 20 minutes locating the real problem that caused the AC failure, and suggested I go back to the dealer because it should be fixed without paying out of pocket. So I drove back to the dealer and told them what the real problem was. Now I finally can enjoy the cold air when driving in summer. Really appreciate you!!!

I was in panic mode and called my best friends in Michigan who recommended Chuck from Al Dean’s auto repair. A phone call to Chuck put me at ease. This man knows customer service. He went out of his way to help me and did the needed work on my car in a very timely manner so that I could return safely to Pittsburgh. I work in MI but live in Canada, and today I was out at lunch, and my serpentine belt slipped off the pump. I was panicked, as I was so far away from home and it is Friday aft before Memorial Day weekend - but Chuck gave me the number for a tow company and kept one of his workers from leaving early to stay back and help me. Comment: I went here looking for an estimate on how much it would be to replace my ignition switch because the key wouldn’t turn in the ignition. They told me to go to the dealership and see if I can have a key made because my key was worn down. Some mechanics would’ve told me that I needed to get the ignition replaced just so they can get an extra buck but they steered me in the right direction. I Definitely recommend them.

Comment: I had a hard time with my cars breaking while driving on I95. I sensed breaks were worn off and needed to do something with them. Then I called this gentleman Chuk and he gave me appointment for next day (04/10). I met him, told him my problem. He inspected the car and breaking system and informed me what was needed to be done within some time. I got the rotor and break pad replaced within couple of hours and my car is again running as good as new. Chuk is nice man and his friendly nature attracts more people and clients like me. Comment: As a full time college student I’m used to a typical mechanic trying to up charge me and possibly even scam me. However, this shop has been informative and friendly. The first time I went in I had a battery issue, which they identified and had fixed within two days. Today I had a flat tire which was fixed on the spot. Both were done at good prices but not only that I was explained exactly what they were looking for and we’re going to do. Comment: A few weeks ago I was in emergency panic mode while driving as my car felt like it needed immediate attention so I looked up the closest car shop to me and it led me to Al Deans Auto Repair. The owner looked at my car right away and drove it around to evaluate. Most car shops would have tried to talk me into needing to get a repair or ripped me off. He didnt charge me anything for this he just wanted to help me. He gave me advice what I should do (take it to the dealership) and it all ended up working out (warranty covered it- my transmission was dunzo!). He was awesome and so helpful. I explained my issue and it’s very affordable just to get your car looked at as well. They are honest, provide quality care with affordable prices, and great customer service! I came in for brakes and rotors and they let me know one of my calipers was bad after trying their hardest to save it. I stay in the area so myself and family have gotten serviced from here numerous times. Depending on your service they off different warranties which is awesome. Comment: If you’re in need of a shop and you’re in the Auburn Hills area, Al Deans is a stand up place. I was in a bind today needing a battery for my fiancées car and they not only sold me a battery off of their battery rack (which is not something most shops regularly do), but they also gave me a lift back to my car a 1/2 mile away so I didn’t have to carry it back. There is no shop in miles that would do that, most shops would require you get your car towed in and then want to charge labor for installing a battery. This saved me a ton of time and money and I am very grateful for the courtesy extended to me.

Smoke was billowing out from under the hood of my car, and I needed to drive out of town to make it for the birth of my friends baby. I called several shops that day, and by the time I left work I figured I just wouldnt be able to make it in time, and would just have to visit the following weekend.I called Al Deans based on a google maps search, and really because it was the only one that was open. IM SO GLAD I DID. Chuck quoted me a few hundred dollars less than anyone else in the area. Even the shop at the gas station would have cost more! Not only did he take my car in, he patiently explained the process, showed me the parts that would be replaced, and assured me that he would stop work if there was irreparable damage and the car couldnt be saved.I was on the road by noon the next day AND charged even less than what was quoted. Eventually I was able to get the car to start on my own but I took it to Al Deans to check if there were any potential problems that caused the failure in the first place. Chuck tested the car and confirmed that it was starting reliably, and went over some possible issues that may have caused the failure. However, as the car was working fine with no error codes, he did not try to upsell me on expensive diagnostics which would likely turn up no results. Instead, he simply let me take the car home without charging me anything. I trust that hes honest and wants whats best for the customer instead of trying to make money any way he can.

Comment: This is the BEST auto shop Ive ever visited. I was in the area for work - when my blower (when it was -13 degrees) quit working. It worked fine when my car was at the shop so they were not going to charge me anything but I asked them to run diagnostics. They found a few things wrong (my car has 242K miles on it so thats to be expected) and even took a video of a couple of the problems so I would have a clear understanding of what issues they found. Given the very old age of my car instead of making money off of me, Chuck told me it might be time for a new car. Then 2 weeks later I had a flat tire. I had Chucks phone number and didnt know who else to all. I gave him a call and he had my car towed to the shop, picked me up, took me to work, fixed my tire and provided a courtesy ride back to pick up the car. I cannot say enough good things about this shop. I tell anyone who listens what a great place this is. If I lived nearby, Id never take my car to anyone else.

Al was so helpful and professional. He walked over with me, pointed out the problems he saw with the battery (which I had just bought in May 2016 from the dealer) and helped me to jump start it. Comment: My blazer broke down on thanksgiving night, I dropped it off the next day and they got me right in. They tell you like it is without the high pressure up sells that you get at the national chain service centers. I am a repeat customer and chuck and his crew always take good care of my truck. They remind me of the local mechanics and small shops we had back before the corporations took over. It’s hard to find mechanics you can trust to give your car back with less problems than you had when you brought it in. I trust these guys.

Comment: Im always a little bit wary of a ton of positive reviews, but this is a shop thats earned theirs. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was ready to have my trans rebuilt, but instead of taking advantage of me and just rebuilding the trans, they diagnosed it, gave it a tune-up, and it runs like the day I got it. That saved me a ton of money. Ill definitely be going back for all my maintenance needs.

Comment: I just moved to the area, and noticed my brakes started to grind. Typically I would do the work myself, but without a garage I was forced to bring my Subaru Crosstrek to a local shop. Respect businesses and they will respect you. Al Deans gave me a fast quote over the phone, which was fair in price, and he was able to stick to the number. The work was completed within a day from when I called. If you want a quality job and an honest answer stop by Al Deans. I did not read the only Yelp review before going to Al Deans to get my car serviced. With auto repairs, people typically want to spend the least amount possible, which often leads to avoiding regular maintenance checks. Al Deans will address the issue and fix it correctly without killing your pocket.I am glad I found a dependable place to bring my car now that I am living in the area.

Found al deans on google and had it towed i accidently wrote down the wrong number and he tried everything to get ahold of me where others wouldnt finnaly when i called at one we got everything figured out he got my car fixed and at a cheap price so my family and i could get home. Comment: I went to another repair shop at first to get quoted for how much it would cost to replace my rear brake pads and rotors along with the rear caliper. They told me 500 which was ridiculous so my father told me to contact Chuck at Al Deans and he was able to do it for 250! And now it rides as smooth as ever. I recommend Al Deans to anyone who wants excellent service from a man who keeps his word and offers a great price.

Comment: I recently moved to the area and went to Al Deans to get a diagnosis and estimate on a problem with my car. The staff at Al Dean gave me a ride home, then diagnosed all my cars issues very thoroughly, gave me a very fair price for the diagnostic work, and did NOT encourage to spend money on expensive repairs for my older car. Instead, they explained the problems clearly, told me what the cost of various repairs would be, told me what was vital and what could wait, and discussed with me the options that would be most economical for me. There was no pressure, no scare tactics, no hustle--just honest, friendly service and advice. A good, honest mechanic is as valuable as gold in todays society. I highly recommend Al Deans to anyone needing auto diagnosis/repair of any kind!

Comment: The guys at Al Deans Maintenance Center are friendly, the part I liked best is that they are up front about all the work they perform and if you ask a question you will get an honest answer or opinion. There is no sugar coating, which is how I like to do business.I took my vehicle in today to replace the water pump, called the day before to make sure they could work on it the morning, which they could and had it back to me by the time I was out of work.Upon picking up the vehicle Chuck, took time to go over what they replaced and pointed out things to watch out for in the future. Even tell me what I could replace on my own.Their prices, I think are fair with little mark-up on the parts, but that goes hand to hand with running a business and when you receive great service to go with it, you cannot complain. I always look at the entire picture, when it comes to service.There are a couple of more things that I cannot do on my own and I will be going back.

Comment: The mechanics at Al Deans have done wonderful work on two different vehicles for me. One was a 1997 Sunfire that they helped me get over 287,000 miles out of. Recently, I brought them the 2009 Chevy Aveo that I had just bought in December 2013. The timing belt was broken, and since it quit running while I was on the expressway, it was likely that the engine was also damaged. The car was supposed to be under warranty. The warranty company made the process very difficult, but Chuck at Al Deans was fantastic. He dealt with the warranty and helped me avoid repairs and hassle from the warranty company that would have been much more costly and would have left me without a car for several days. In addition, he carefully documented and videoed the repair, and showed me that the dealership should probably be responsible for reimbursing me for the amount that I had to pay out of pocket. Chuck truly cares about his customers and getting them safely back on the road. Terrific work. Wonderful people. Id recommend them to anyone.

They also mentioned other issues with my car that would need to be addressed in the future. Their policy was to not accpet checks, however they made an acception to accomidate me. Comment: I have used this garage multiple times. I took my car to Al Deans today. My transmission needs replacing. They spent time explaining the problem. They called multiple places to try to find a low mileage replacement. When we discovered that it is covered under warranty, they facilitated getting it to the dealership for repair, and waived my fee. They spent over an hour helping me without charge. They also asked me to bring it back once it is fixed to make sure it was done correctly. I highly recommend this garage, and I will always use them.

Comment: Called, went there, got an estimate, service within an hour, talked to great people. That pretty sums up my experience. This place is a no bullshit kinda place. Didnt even have to tell them what was wrong with my vehicle. They diagnosed it immediately and gave me a vary fair price. Would have cost 5 times as much anywhere else. The gentleman who runs the place is very friendly and formal with his customers. Wish there was more wrong with my vehicle so I could go back (knock on wood).

Comment: Because of my years of experience with fair & friendly service from Chuck and Don at Al Deans when my 2003 RamVan 1500 had a failed water pump, Al Deans was first on my list of places to call to get it repaired. Chuck provided with a fair and honest quote over the phone. When I dropped off my vehicle, Chuck took the time to give me a ride back to work. While servicing my water pump, the mechanics did a thorough inspection of vehicle and called to inform me of a few items to, watch that may need repair in the near future. Because I trust their opinions and recommendations, I asked for a quote, which was more than reasonable, so I gave the go ahead for the additional repairs.Chuck Called me after the shop had closed to inform me that my van was ready and he would stay late and wait for me to pick it up so I could get my kids to their activities that evening. When I arrived, Chuck showed me my old parts, explained why they were bad (with pictures and video) of what failed and where, and provided me with a detailed receipt. If you appreciate Quality Work, Reasonable Rates, and Outstanding Customer Satisfaction...Call the Team at Al Deans! They really do take pride in their work and having you as their customer.

Comment: I have a 2001 Ford Focus that I took to Als. It would lose control in the rear of the car when I hit a bump, and seemed to roar when I was driving. They looked it over and said it was the shocks, bearings, and one of the drums in the rear...very pricey repairs - but not here. The price was lower than all their competitors, the staff and service was awesome, the car runs like new (it is so quiet now that even the kids noticed) and I would recommend them to anyone. Thanks you guys!
