The crew here are amazing!My regular auto shop recommended auto Accel for their ability to handle the ‘transmission’ repair I’d need due to their current scheduling out 2-3 weeks. Auto Accel also initially seemed to be the same wait. Completely understandable everything is so busy lately, especially this time of year.These guys worked some sort of finagling magic and were actually able to not only look at my issue but get it repaired the same day! Within 2 hours! (It was not the transmission; so if that’s your issue do not quote this review.)Seriously cannot recommend them enough!The best words I use to describe anyone are knowledgeable and competent and they surely are.Trust them. They’ve got you.

Alot of electrical components were affected , that could only be diagnosed by people who know what they were doing. It was a challenging repair. I am very happy to say that they put me back on the road with no lingering issues. Plus they did it with good humor and professional courtesy. One wouldnt think they can make such a huge difference with how the car operates overall, but from a shaking feeling, a sense that the front suspension is failing or not adequate even if new, to what can then sound like the transmission is eating itself all over the course of several months.The team at Accel got into it. Diagnosed the issue, replaced all motor mounts and transmission mount as one mount had failed completely compromising the rest of them.I went from a car that seemed like it was getting too far past its life cycle to one that now feels like it did @ 30000 miles.This team rocks!

The owner came in to meet me on a Saturday and give me a test drive. No high pressure sales. Really easy to work with. A+ experience. I would recommend them for purchase and maintenance of new and used vehicles. This is my spot in Holland for future anything I need. Moreover, there was some dispute between Accel and my warranty company as to whether or not the specific repair was actually covered as part of the drivetrain (and therefore under the service contract). *HOWEVER*, after lots of overtime investigating the repair and arguing with the warranty company Chad and Jerry were able to verify that I would be covered under the contract before sending me elsewhere to get the repair done. Would highly recommend!

Comment: This place is fantastic. If you need Transmission work in particular, I highly recommend. Finding a place that can do legit transmission work is not easy, and I think I find 2-3 in the Holland area that I would say have transmission specialist. The service manager is extremely friendly, professional, and transparent. He gives honest answers to questions and did not try to sell me something I did not need. Here are some high points:1. I have a 2012 Mazda 3, 140k miles, with a transmission code, pressure sensor. I do have a nice code reader and I know a little about wrenching on cars. Depending on issue, I might or might not be able to fix it, and I worked with a Mazda Mechanic on ‘Just Answers,’ but I brought it in for second opinion. Diagnostic at Accel was under $90 which seemed fair for Dec 2022.2. They have overnight drop off.3. After diagnostic test they text all the issues, recommendations and estimates. You can accept or deny. I decided to call in to go over estimates.4. I spoke the the actual mechanic myself and he was amazingly friendly and helpful explaining everything clearly. He was realistic. With electrical transmission codes, you can be chasing wires, faulty grounds, and bad TCUs all day long. So he recommended to start with cheapest, most likely fix. The price was fair, though the recommended fix was something I can and was going to do, so I declined service. Btw the code was cleared by the mechanic and it has yet to come back, so whatever they did, it might have fixed it as sometimes it is as simple as checking electrical contacts. If the code comes back I’ll change the pressure sensor.5. I asked about needing a trans fluid flush as I thought it looked dirty. He could have totally sold me on $300 job but they were honest and said fluid looked fine.6. They also have 24 hour pick up so it was convenient to pick up after hours.7. I was so impressed and wanted to give them business. Next week I’ll be bringing in my 2014 Chrysler T&C to have the fluid changed… maybe as it has 140K and service manager said sometimes it’s best to leave Transmission alone until it dies. Fair. I trust them so whatever it takes.They aren’t the cheapest place, but pretty inexpensive for the expertise they have. Btw, hourly rates at trans places in 2022 are $100-150/hour, and I called around and their rates are competitive. I totally recommend.

We noticed a couple small dents on our hood after and Brent immediately took care of the problem. He sent a driver out to our house almost an hour away. They swapped cars with ours, took our vehicle back to Accel, fixed the dents and drove it back to our house. Although it’s a long drive from our house to Accel, I’m strongly considering having them do all of the services on our vehicles. I highly recommend Accel!

Comment: I have had my Jeep in for service with Accel twice in the past year. They did a great job diagnosing the problem and letting me know exactly what needed to be done for the repairs. After I approved the repairs they finished the jobs on time or early. The system they used to notify me of the repairs was one of the easiest systems to help understand the repairs and would allow anyone to be able to see what is going to be done on their vehicle. I would definitely recommend Accel to anyone needing auto service.

Comment: Wed been having a noticeable issue with our transmission as it would not seem to catch going into 3rd gear. We brought our van to two local auto repair shops for their assessments. Both shops told us that wed need to either rebuild the entire transmission or put in a new one--either route costing a minimum of $2500. Having had Accel Auto recommended to us, we decided to give them a shot before pulling the trigger at one of the other shops. They did a complete diagnosis--and found a faulty sensor which cost $35. So, after a couple hours of labor, a new sensor, and a change of transmission fluid (which was due anyway), the total bill came to $275. Our van is now running great! Obviously, then, wed recommend Accel Auto to anyone. They are thorough and honest and talked us through each step of process.
