Comment: So grateful for Dave (and Maria)! Friendly, honest, incredibly communicative and straightforward, fairly priced, and faster than promised. My van broke down on the highway and I called around for transmission help. Most were booked up and didnt ask what had happened. I called Dave and he gave me a transmission quote instantly, but also asked what the symptoms were and gave me more info on other scenarios. He was right, it was a much cheaper fix, and he even fixed an age-old glove box issue that other shops said they couldnt do without breaking it and ordering a whole new one. His tow company was easy to work with and he fixed the van a day faster than expected (would have been faster if I hadnt added the glove box request).I absolutely love this place and will be back for routine stuff. This is the kind of staff and operation Id be relieved to buy a used vehicle from, if they do that (I havent asked).Keep up the good work, guys, youre what every community needs!

( I absolutely adore his wife) They are honest, professional , caring and their reasonable pricing for repairs are just what we need in this covid economical challenging time.. Their low cost evaluation will give you a itemized list for needed repairs BEFORE you purchase the car.My youngest daughter just purchased her first car, but had concern of a (sometimesy) knocking sound when she stopped. Comment: Took my truck to two separate places on a Monday morning, one being a Chevy dealership. Was told by both that they could not even look at it for a week. Found AAMCO on line and they got me in as soon as I could get there. After they inspection revealed that the transmission needed to be replaced I was told they could get the new one and have my truck back to me in 4-5 days. And I didn’t get the truck to them until noon on Monday. I received a call on Tuesday morning around 8:30. To their surprise and mine the trans was able to be delivered Monday afternoon and my truck was finished in less than 24 hours instead of the potential 2-3 weeks at a actual dealership. I hope to have no other problems with my vehicle, but if I do I will be taking it to AAMCO.

This repair shops head mechanic is Dave Kopntisky.We had been quoted 6k to replace our transmission. We took it to Dave after looking at the # of good reviews. Had an appointment. He looked at the car the same day identified the real problem and we were riding smoothly the next, cost $402.He also makes it a habit to check on his customers the next day to ensure they are still satisfied. Its a distance from our home, but well worth it ! He will continue to get our business. When your car is not operating you are always uneasy about whether or not its going to be serviced well and there also is an uneasiness that whomevers working on your car is going to give you a fair honest assessment of whats going on

They were completely transparent with the issue, gave me a ranged estimate (it ended up being on the lower end), and were phenomenal with communication of time. I have genuinely never had a better experience at a shop! As a female, it often feels like shop owners and employees look at us like walking dollar signs but that was absolutely NOT the case here. Comment: Took my husbands Malibu here thinking it was the transmission that was bad Dave took a look over it and said it wasn’t the transmission , but he needed his whole exhaust system replaced .Having previous cars taken to other local shops we haven’t had a good outcome with replacing the catalytic converter so we were very skeptical especially because it was a hefty price .Well I’ve got to say Dave and whoever else worked on this Malibu did a fantastic job !!! This 2008 runs like its brand spanking new !!!My husband is beyond thrilled about his car it’s been what maybe a week now and it’s all he talks about !!! Comment: I thought I needed a new transaxle for my 2008 Jeep Patriot, but Dave and his mechanics at Aamco Transmissions Warren found out the problem was actually just a crankcase sensor. Plus, they found out the lower control arm went bad. I thouht I heard some unusual rattling down there. They saved me over $3900! Comment: Love, love, love these guys. The staff as a whole is amazing. Dave and his wife Marie are super sweet, friendly and warm welcoming. The receptionist, Danielle is just absolutely hilarious (so proud of her for not getting fired today *inside joke*). I always have a great experience every time I go in there. I will never take my car anywhere else (except for a wheel alignment because they dont do those.) The service is also very speedy, honestly I am in and out. If they are busy they will try to get you in or let you know a prompt time to come back. The prices are also impeccable. They are literally spot on, usually less than the price I see when I google the problem Im having and generally lower than any other place I have been. Again love, love, love this place! Do yourself favor and shop here, I guarantee you will not trust anyone else with your car! I have already recommended my mom, my boy friend, my best friends (guy and girl), his sister and my sisters (Im the youngest of 5 girls); that is how much faith I have in these people and their work. I swear every time I leave there my car feels even better than the first time. I have an old 2001 Saturn that was on it last leg before them. Comment: I recently purchased a vehicle. The previous owner mentioned that the car needed transmission rebuild or fixed. I did some research and found that my car had a CD4E transmission and this particular transmission was known to have issues. Someone posted that if you had cancer would you go to a general doctor to solve your problem? I had a transmission problem so I decided to take it to a transmission shop. I brought my car to AAMCO in Warren based on ratings and the reviews from individuals.I have to admit that I was expecting the worse. I explained the symptoms to Dave and he diagnosed to the problem over the phone within seconds. It turns out the 2 4 band went out on the car resulting in an ability to shift into 2nd or 4th gear. What I anticipated to be a couple thousand dollars for a transmission rebuild ended up being a couple hundred to replace a failed band.I was so happy I attempted to give Rick (the mechanic who worked on my car) a tip for doing a fantastic job. He refused the tip and said my satisfaction was enough......REALLY!!! I was blown away.As other people have mentioned if youre looking for an honest shop that will provide you with great service at a reasonable price look no further than AAMCO in Warren, MI.

Comment: Dave at AAMCO did everything right from the get-go. Extremely happy with my experience. He replied to my voicemail before any other shop, and I immediately trusted him. I called about an issue with my 2010 VW golf and he had already narrowed it down to a few likely issues before seeing the car. He provided a very reasonable price for the diagnosis process and as soon as he found out that his suspicions were right , he called me with a very reasonable price. It was not a transmission issue. It was an obscure wiring issue unique to the model, a difficult car to work on and a very reasonable price, so I know that he is must be honest. Car was done in half a day.Dave also went further to add a temporary fix to a hazardous body issue on a completely separate part of the car free of charge, and recommended that I go to a body shop. He advised on what aspect of body repair was really necessary for my safety. I never even asked!Recommend this shop to anyone.

Comment: My Grand Am would not go in drive only in reverse. After a few days of reading everyones reviews I decided to go with AAMCO and Im sure glad I did! Everyone was eceptional! I was so affraid that the transmission went and I was hoping to find an honest company that would not take an advantage of my misfortune. Very attentive, and if you don’t know what the problem is they help you figure it out and fix it as fast as possible. Comment: We went somewhere else that first has us replace the wrong parts and then told us to pick up the car they heard no noise and finally said oops its the cvt trans. Offered no quarentee and wanted an outrageous amount. We were recommended to go here and that was a huge blessing. The first shop told me not to bother fixing my car, the second gave me a quote that was totally unreasonable. So I took my own advice and got a second opinion. Comment: I have a 2003 Chevy suburban that had transmission issues, and ive previously went to other mechanic shops and they all told me a rebuild was necessary and i didnt believe that. I came in for them to take a look, little did i know one hour out the door everything was fixed. The place treats you in an honest ad fair manner, their prices are untouchable, recommend them HIGHLY to anyone with trans issues or anything for that matter, They upped my epc and changed y gasket and filter and fluid and back i was on the road. Comment: I drop off the 2002 Volvo V70 2.4T to this mechanic the whole transmission parts. It would take couple of weeks to replace and install the new transmission as he promise. After the installation is completed, he would call us when the car is ready to pick it up. When we tested our in a couple of months to see the transmission has successfully, but some of it has minor issue to adjust. He still manage to check and see what were the problem be. So we have to wait for another week and get a call if any problem. As for right now, the transmission is running smoothly as should. I highly recommend to tell my friends to visit this place. Nice work.

Comment: Amazing experience!!! I dropped my car off Tuesday night was contacted Wednesday morning told what the issue was and the cost and got my car back Thursday with no issues!! Dave and his crew discovered an issue that a local repair shop over looked and charged me $900 to repair the incorrect issue I took the car back to that repair shop after they fixed it because I was experiencing the same issue and was told that now it was something else that would cost me an additional $800, my daughter had told me about Aamco and the amazing experience she had about 2 years prior after they replaced her transmission in one day and she had not one issue with the truck to this day the truck is still running great!!! They found that those previous repairs were unnecessary and all it shouldve took was $200 to repair this issue the whole time. Unbelievable!!!! This is truly an HONEST company who really want to help and not just take your money and they truly take pride in their work. Thank you guys so much!!!!

Comment: When my car started experiencing transmission issues David made sure I detailed exactly what the car was doing and gave me some solutions until I could bring it in for service. Then the car broke down after Advanced Auto Parts plugged in the code reader!! The shop not only advanced my check-up but kept the car to make sure the issue was fixed. Superb service and definitely will be using them again now that I live closer to the shop.

Comment: On Thursday Sept 24 I called Aamco and talked to Dave. I told him that my moms car wont accelerate it just revs up. We where told by someone else that it needed a new transmission. Dave said get it towed to me and I will take a look at it. He was right it wasnt the transmission, it was the front axle. Dave and his crew saved my mom a bunch of money. Comment: I would like to share my honest experience about AAMCO located on 10mile in Warren Michigan. I am 18 years old and know nothing about cars and I am also a female. One day my car was leaking some fluids and the next day it could barely move. My warranty company (CARS) suggested that I go to an AAMCO. So I did. I met a man name Dave and he told me my warranty was straight crap and they are no paying for anything because i went over my mileage. To make a long story short, Dave told me he can check to see the exact problem and he will give me a price. My transmission, wheel barrens and a whole bunch of things were bad. He rebuilt my transmission and he also fixed the other problems for 2,800. That may sound like a lot of money but he actually gave me a deal. Not only is my car running super good he gave me a one year warranty on everything he has touched. About a month later i hit a big pot whole and damaged some things on my car Dave fixed it for FREE. I love their shop I love the mechanic Rick hes really nice and have no problem answering the 1,000 questions I always have when I go. GO HERE its definitely worth it. ASK FOR DAVE. This place is professional, reasonable, reliable, and the best .

The reason Im going to do 4 reviews beginning within the next few days after I get my vehicle back is because Im sick of getting screwed over by repair shops and Im going to give a complete timeline of my experience with this franchised Aamco shop in Warren, Michigan. My review will be brutally honest and will cover my entire experience from first phone call to 2 years after said repair.Im going through all of this because in my experience and in the experience of friends and family members, we have been lied to REPEATEDLY by shops and had repairs done that seemed as if they were done right but in only a few months later issues would start to come up again, or worse, OTHER ISSUES that werent a problem in the past suddenly out of nowhere have come up. Comment: AAMCO Transmissions re-built my 2006 Chevy Uplander transmission and while this repair was being done they had also noticed that my rear axel was broke and replaced it at no xtra charge, they also replaced the transmission lines as well , they had also brought to my attention other things that needed repair as well .Dave from AAMCO transmission on 14021 E 10 Mile Road in Warren went above and beyond all my expectations . Comment: Went to another shop and they tried to sell me a new trans for $3000 or a rebuild for $2000. Called Dave at AAMCO and he told me for for vehicle type there might be a much less expensive solution. Dave said he would charge me $40 to look at it and we could go from there. THE BEST $40 I EVER SPENT! My car/trans was repaired and running great for under $500. Thanks to all at AAMCO Warren!

Comment: Took my vehicle to the dearlership because of parking issues, dealership informed me it would cost around $600 to fix. Figured I would get a second opinion, So googled transmission shops in the area and AAMCO on 10 mile rd popped up. First of all, Dave was very understanding and was almost certain he could beat the price of the dealership. Unfortunately, I had no ride and was generous enough to give me a ride home. The following day, he informed me it would cost $60 to fix the issue and boy was i blown away..... I recommend anyone that has car issues to give them a call, they will beat ANY competitors prices, hands down. Thank you everyone at AAMCO Warren!!!!

Comment: I brought a 2004 impala the end of July and it gave me nothing but trouble..it was jerking and over heating..I took it back to the dealership and they said o its just your wheel bearing..it was replaced...the issue still was going on...I came to Aamco and spoke with dave...I took my car in on a tues...by Friday of the same week he replaced my motor and water pump...and get this guys...HE WAS ABLE TO GET MY EXTENDED WARRANTY COMPANY TO COVER THE ENTIRE BILL....lets just say Ive found my knew mechanic...these guys get straight to the point and I love it!!!!!

Comment: Me and my girlfriend has our 1992 Chevy Cheyenne towed into Dave at Aamco Transmission after it stopped on me oneday while heading to work, I naturally assumed it was the transmission, but after speaking to dave about it he assure me that they would inspect the vehicle completely before giving me a final cause, and sure enough Dave called me later the next afternoon and said the problem was not my transmission, but my front brake calipers needed to be replaced, which brought joy to our faces and probably saved us at least $2500.00 dollars, So, Thanks Again to Dave and his entire crew at Aamco Transmission-Warren.

Comment: This place is awesome. I brought my vehicle in because it was leaking fluids. They inspected my vehicle and I found out that the problem was that the last place that changed my oil (Valvoline Oil on 13 and Ryan - dont go there!!!!), did not tighten my oil drain plug and my vehicle was leaking oil!! This could have caused my engine to blow up. AAMCO tightened the plug and topped off my oil for FREE. These people are great - very friendly, and didnt charge me for my bad luck with a crappy oil change place! They were so pleasant to every customer that came in, and I would highly reccommend this place to service your vehicle. :)

My truck required a transmission rebuild and I received a high quote from the first shop I took it to. I called AAMCO and spoke to Dave the Sales Manager. He offered to tow my truck from the current location to his shop free of charge to diagnose the repairs needed and was confident that he could beat the other quotes that I had received. They were able to turn around my truck much quicker than the other shops I contacted and had very competitive pricing. This shop offers warranties on their work and they go out of their way to ensure that you are satisfied with the work done before you pick up your vehicle. Comment: I had problems with my car shifting.I was quoted(from other shops) $900 for a new radiator, $2700 for a new trans, and $4000 for a new engine. This is all after they said they did a complete diagnostic on my car. Dave said hed like to try a few things if i could leave it with him. After a day or two he found a bad harness connection. $40 later and my cars been running like a charm!!!I also brought in a different car for a new belt. He said he could replace it, but pointed out that my shock tower had rusted so badly that it was now dangerous to drive. He could have taken my money and changed the belt, but he went out of his way to tell me about the other issue. He may have save me and my family, not to mention other drivers from being seriously hurt.There is no possible way im taking any of my cars to anyone else.

Comment: A little more than a month ago my van did not want to shift properly. I had only had my van for a little more than a month, but I purchased a warranty with it (Thank God!) Many dealerships would not take the warranty because the warranty company was not willing to pay the dealership labor rates. I called Dave at Aamco because we have had work done there before with no issues. He told us to bring the van up with a copy of the warranty. He looked over the warranty and was completely honest up front about how hard this warranty company could be to deal with, but he would help me through everything. Dave called me the next day to tell me that my second gear was gone, I needed a new transmission. He called the warranty company and started everything for me. The warranty company called me and verified all of the information and told me it could take up to 3 days for them to approve the work. The work was approved the next day. Dave called me everyday to update me on the status of my van (the transmission was purchased by the warranty company so they had to ship it to Aamco), and it was completed in just over a week.I picked up my van and paid my deductible, the warranty company took care of the rest.It has been about a month since I picked up my van, and I have had no issues since. My van runs like it is brand new! I recommend everyone to go to this Aamco for work they may need for their vehicle. There is no beating around the bush, they are 100% honest with you about everything. I have a lot or respect for the employees of this Aamco. Great Job everyone keep up the great work!!!
