They were closing and checked my car out for over an hour. They were honest with the scope of work and recommended that I take it else where. They found a car repair that is open tomorrow near by ran by a friend of theirs and helped me get my car there. They even dropped me off near by at a hotel! I tried to pay them and they refused. Comment: I want to write the best review possible but looking here, I see I have a lot of competition! Let me begin by saying that Majed has a heart of gold and is the kindest businessman I have had the good fortune to meet. I know very little about cars and, to make a long story short, bought a used car that had no business being sold and was not safe to drive. It had problems I had no idea and did not find out about until I brought it to the A2 Auto Center, which I had seen positively mentioned on the Ann Arbor subreddit, on Wednesday evening. Majed looked over the car free of charge and the next morning called me to say that there were issues here and that he would need to inspect the car more carefully. Later that day when I came by, he informed me about his findings; he walked me through each part that was either missing or faulty such as the non-existent battery case, a transmission leak, bad brake line, right headlight not working, tire treads showing, windshield fluid pump missing, and more. It was, to put it lightly, not a good situation. I needed a car because I was starting a new position that required me to drive 80 miles a day and this one, as it was, was not fit for that. Majed saw my dilemma and promised to do the best he could considering the circumstances - and he really, really delivered. Today (Saturday) he showed me all the repairs and replacements he had made to the vehicle so that it is safe and drivable. I wish I knew more about cars because then I could go into technical detail about what he and his team did, but it also involved hunting down another similar make and model and replacing parts from it – this went above and beyond anything I could expect. He gave me a significant discount on all the work that had to be done and there was a lot of it! Just from seeing what the car was before and after, I could see how much care and attention had gone into the repairs. I have to say he performed more than one miracle in the span of two days and cannot thank him enough for it. I highly, highly recommend A2 Auto Center, not simply because of Majed’s amazing service but also because he and his team are genuinely good people who deserve patronage.

He kindly took a look at our car, diagnosed the problem, jumped our car so we could get home, and told us if we wanted to return the next day, he would fix it for us. Since then, Ive used them several times and they do great work, are trustworthy and charge a fair price. They also get you in quicker than any shop Ive ever been to around town. A2 Auto is super fast. Usually the work is done in 1 day. They also have good pricing. Recently I was getting a windshield replacement and AJ found a couple other issues with my car that could have been dangerous and expensive problems if they hadnt been repaired. Comment: Majed is amazing! I bought a 2002 Toyota Camry as second-hand last spring and was extremely worried not only because the car was old but also because I had barely driven before. Majed has taken care of my car very well: fixing the suspension area (note: replacing a control arm and stabilizer bar bushings required an enormous amount of hard work because there was so much rust on the bottom of my car), cleaning brakes, replacing a downstream oxygen sensor, checking on tire pressure, replacing wipers, replacing a steering wheel shaft (thank you for making a lot of effort to find an appropriate & affordable part as possible), changing snow tires, and changing oil & liquids. I usually observed the repairing process and was able to develop a greater appreciation of how diligently and carefully Majed was working to fix the cars. You can trust him, and he makes sure that the fixing is done by working on the parts multiple times when there are still issues. I found A2 Auto very reliable and friendly, and have highly recommended it to all my friends. I know that they recently opened another A2 Auto Center (for body repair) which is run by Majeds brother, AJ. AJ is amazing, too!

I had taken it to a dealership who charged me $170 to simply diagnose my car (did not look at it for more than 30 minutes), and wanted over double what it should have costed me for all that needed to be done. I took it to Majed who looked at it free of charge as well as gave me the absolute best price possible. Not only that, my car was done in one day and he fixed two lights and gave me a hubcap free of charge. I highly recommend this business and will continue to give them my service.

Comment: I used to work as an ASE certified technician, so I usually repair my own vehicle. However, its winter and I commute 1 hour to my current profession. On my first visit, I approved replacement of a rear wheel bearing and CV axle (by the sound of the bearing, and how long I drove it, there was a fair chance the axle could have been damaged). Majed replaced the bearing and called me to let me know the CV axle was fine and did not need replacement. This is the sign of an HONEST technician. Ive worked with some crooked techs in the past, and they would have jumped on my preapproval by either replacing the part that wasnt bad, or by simply charging me and not doing any work. That is not the service youll receive at A2. Majed is a top notch technician who is on top of communication, gets the job done quickly, does quality work, and you can trust that hes not going to take advantage of you.

That was in 2013.Majeed takes care of all cars in my family since then. He is my family mechanic.

Comment: I live in Alabama. I traveled to Michigan for Thanksgiving and ended up with a flat tire on a Sunday when no shops were open. The guys at A2 auto center saved me. They came in on their day off, drove to another place to get the tire I needed, and charged me as little as humanly possible which was a miracle because I had my five kids with me. They saved me and made me feel like I was a valuable customer even though they knew I lived out of state. Ive been meaning to write this review forever but never remembered. I guess this is better late than never but these guys were absolutely amazing. Ill never forget the kindness they showed me.

Comment: Majed is a true soul that will go out of his way to help you out. Price was steep, though the part was expensive. (Car was a ford fusion 2011 power steering error. Complete electric power steering unit replaced.) He gave me his personal number. Sent a tow service for free. Gave 2 of us a ride back to the shop. He takes you in personally to show you exactly what is wrong. He also sent my car to another location for free. And had it back by the end of the day. The whole process took roughly 7 hours. A good heart that helped me in a true emergency.

Comment: A gentleman who works here helped me fix my driver window, which conveniently broke and slid all the way into the door on a day that was pouring rain! I only drove there with the purpose to ask if I could borrow a pair of pliers to pull it back out myself, but he insisted on helping. We worked for about 20 minutes to get the window back up and he grabbed some duck tape to temporarily hold it up. Im very grateful for him, I wish I remember his name!

Comment: Fixed my car in a pinch. I had another shop replace my thermostat incorrectly and it failed 45 minutes into my move to Utah. These guys did a great job and replaced it and my timing belt quickly and correctly. Very impressed. Drove it all the way to Utah the next day with no problems.

Comment: This is by far the best auto repair place I’ve come across. Honest people charging very fair prices. I’ll give you an example of how they’ve treated me. Yesterday (sunday) I texted AJ to see if he can look at my car on Monday. He responded immediately, on a Sunday, and told me I can bring it in as soon as they open. I take it in on Monday and in 2 hrs they looked at it, told me I needed a battery, and then replaced it. I could never get that kind of fast and honest service anywhere else. When I needed a brake job it was he same story, fast and good prices. They don’t have that polished corporate atmosphere and that makes it better, because they dont have to pay a multimillionaire CEO. Just great guys doing great work. I’m not going anywhere else.

Comment: With some terrible past experiences with other auto shops, I was admittedly skeptical of their tiny “waiting area” inside the gas station side of the shop (two chairs in the doorway) as well as their pricing/labor costs. Subsequently, I looked up cost averages online to verify their price ranges for the services they suggested for my little car’s needs. I’ve come to find that unlike the others, the mechanics here have been extremely transparent with me about exactly what is going on with the car, and they don’t try to up-sell or swindle you like many other auto care centers I’ve worked with. I’ve been here twice now for car repairs + oil changes and each time they’ve been awesome. They’re always willing to work with me for the best deal and their prices are very reasonable, not to mention their professional, knowledgeable, and friendly customer service. My most recent experience was even better than the first:I called first to make sure they would be able to fit me in, and Katie was so professional and helpful over the phone. Even though I came in much earlier than I told Katie I would over the phone, they were able to help me within less than 5 minutes (I had previously called other auto shops in the area, closer to my house, and none of them were available to service my car that same day). I’m very glad I came back to A2. Majed explained to me exactly why the engine light was on based on the printed report from the machine that they hooked up to my engine. He told me that the coolant thermostat should be flushed and replaced as soon as possible and told me the cost; I didn’t have quite enough in my bank account. Majed was super accommodating and offered many different options. Because of A2’s convenient location, I decided to walk across the street to Chase Bank to buy a sheet of checks - Majed offered to cash the check the next day and told me to simply call if the money wouldn’t be in the account by then. After just one hour, they were done with both the oil change and the replacement! Also, because he hadn’t mentioned it before, they replaced my faulty gas cap free of charge. Upon leaving, my car has never driven smoother!I will absolutely be coming back, and would highly recommend A2 Auto Center Inc. to anyone and everyone.
