Comment: Really appreciate the fast, professional, work A Plus Transmission did. Replaced/Updated valve body assembly on my F250 transmission, which is a healthy size operation, and had it back to me in 8 days. Absolutely amazing. In addition I know I had a broken off bolt (From Me) holding on Trans Pan which they fixed without me even asking. I wish I could give them more than a 5 star rating because they deserve it. If I ever need more transmission work done, its a no brainer, this is the place to go.Thanks Again

Comment: Unbelievable Customer Care!A little story to share: these guys replaced a power steering pump in 2022 and rebuilt my transmission on my 2004 Express Van last year 2023. I started having noise with the power steering shortly after getting that done. I called A Plus, and they thought it was normal and to carry on driving it, do not worry. Fast forward to today: I have since moved to Houghton (9 Hrs North), and I brought it in to a local shop today since my power steering pump has now failed, and unfortunately the transmission line went on the way at the exact same time (these things do happen!)! A Plus is going out of their way to cover the power steering pump (out of warranty now, mind you!), and was willing to take care of towing to the transmission shop, and will remotely cover that bill too! Never expected a shop to take care of their customers like this! Told my Dad who lives in Brighton to tell people about this as I am extremely happy I chose A-Plus!

Comment: It is very uncommon to find a repair shop that takes the time to listen to you and your needs. When we had trouble with my daughter’s transmission and called around to find a shop I was fortunately able to talk to Alex. He was very professional and I felt he was truly concerned about my daughter and her vehicle. When I told him that she was broken down his first questions were is she in a safe place and do you need me to send somebody to pick her up. I was blown away that he was more concerned about my daughter and her safety than he was about just getting the job. Once we had the car brought in he made sure to keep me updated throughout the repair process and he gave me options and explained the benefits that came with each of those options. Since the repairs my daughter’s car has been running great and shifting better than it ever has. I was also happy to learn that they do more than just transmission repairs and can take care of all of our families automotive repair needs. When I picked up the vehicle he told me that if there were ever a problem with my vehicle or service at his shop let him know so he could make things right. Good customer service nearly impossible to find and this place takes it to the next level and has earned a customer for life.

Comment: Another service center recommended A Plus. I dropped our Jeep off at 2pm on a Thursday and they completed the work by Friday at 2pm. Im not sure if this is normal for them, but it made my wife and I very happy. They provide great feedback and and excellent service.I highly recommend them for auto repair needs. If I ever need their type of services again, I wont hesitate to use them.Theres a reason they have such a high Google rating, its because theyre good, very good!Edit:July of 2022, we had some rear-end work done on our vehicle. This year we had an issue out of state, that required some attention. When we got back to Michigan, I sat down with the manager Alex to review the issue. Our meeting could not have gone any better. Comment: What an amazing experience…again. I just picked up my 1972 Cutlass Supreme and couldn’t be happier! This is either the 11th or 12th transmission they have done for me. Just this year they have also rebuilt the C6 in a 77 F150 2WD and the transmission and transfer case in my 78 Bronco 4X4. I really appreciate them taking care of my classics, but they’ve also done the transmissions in my late model Ranger 4x4, Cadillac STS4, Charger RT AWD and more. They have also done brakes, air conditioning, etc. for us.No one wants the expense of a car repair but when I pay for my repair, I feel I’ve gotten great value and it always comes with amazing customer service. Did I mention that I go out of my way to use them? I live at least 45 minutes away and when I’ve been stranded, I’ve had vehicles towed long distances just so I’d have the piece of mind that comes from doing business with someone I trust.Good luck with your repair. Tell them Brian sent you. It won’t be the first time they’ve heard that. ;-)

Comment: Recommend A Plus for all their services, since a customer from the early 1990’s.Recently in May, I asked for complete maintenance on my sedan with 100k, so I could sell it to my sister. The estimated $3k work came in under budget. They reassured me that my brakes with 40k were good. They recommended that the 150k serpentine and rear shocks would need to be replaced in a year or 2. Fixed a corroded wire to an oxygen sensor at no charge. Usually have the throttle body and injector maintenance done at the dealer, but decided to have it done here. Found struts with 100k not leaking, but said they would cause increased wear on my new tires. Always replace brake fluid after 50k, but they explained the pH and water contamination not present. Guess my previous brake fluid was not tested at the other place. My maintenance is old school, so I like to learn. Spark plug cost was less than the book price. Since never had to top off oil before, they found a new oil leak in the valve cover gasket, which I would have discovered a couple months later with a warning light. surprised that all this work completed in 1.5 days.Always was satisfied with transmission service and other fluid changes. 3 years ago, I kept adding more mechanical work to my 2 previous SUV’s with 100k. At that time they replaced an obscure part of the suspension that the tire store had missed in my SUV, also selling to a relative. Sorry this is so long and detailed, but that is how I treat my autos.

Comment: I took my vehicle to another repair shop that wanted to charge me to fix everything that was supposedly wrong with my car including transmission which is what I brought it in for on a warranty $10,000 and told my warranty company I caused the damage to my transmission so they denied it being covered. So took it to a plus and they fixed the radiator which the other place had to of did something to because it wasnt leaking coolant when I dropped it off to them, found I had a misfire and needed a solenoid replaced before they could even find out what is going on with transmission now they are working with warranty company better because everything the other place said was completely wrong. They are honest and fair and very friendly as well, I wont go anywhere else ever again.

Comment: I had a problem with my window washer. When I took it to the dealer they indicated that a rodent had chewed thru the washer supply hose and it would cost $500 plus dollars to repair. I felt this was extremely high price for this repair.I made an appointment with A Plus for a second opinion. They called me latter that day and indicated my car was ready.. They trimmed the washer supply hose and re-connected to the reservoir. NO CHARGE.Thank you A Plus. It is great working with company with integrity and has customer interest as a priority. Comment: I make it a point to update older reviews. We just used this shop again for my hybrid Fusion. I’m absolutely blown away by their service and honesty. We were prepared to pay a pretty hefty fee for a new steering wheel module and approved the repair. Just before they put the module in they found a pin issue and called us to let us know that they didn’t need to replace the module after all. I have already been recommending this place to everyone I can. Good honest repair shops are so incredibly hard to find. Thank you A Plus for being so amazing. We will be back, but hopefully not too soon. A trans in one car is enough to last us for awhile 🤣We just used this place for my mom’s Ford Taurus and they are absolutely amazing. They are quick and honest, which finding both of those things in an auto repair shop isn’t common. Thanks for the wonderful service!

Comment: I took my town and country mini van to kelly complete auto service in harper woods, pertaining to my transmission. They only test drove my van to call me back in an hour to tell me they totally diagnosed the trans. And i need another trans installed for $3,165. Meanwhile my lovely wife did some hard core research online and saw all the positive reviews from A Plus Transmission. We had it towed over 50 miles (one way)Alex from A Plus called me back, told me he will check out the trans thoroughly and get back to me soon! A day and a half later John from A Plus called me rite back to tell me that there was a faulty wire in my transmission. They didnt have to drop the trans at all! Only cost a little over $300! Wow! What a heck of a difference in price!!!They do all mechanical work! And i deeply advise for people to use their service! They make you feel rite at home!!!

After checking it out they said everything looked fine and changed my company $50. They could have come up with well over $1000. worth of “repairs”. What a place!

I had been to several shops, including a dealer diagnostic and nobody could figure it out. I just continued to throw good money after bad. It was so disappointing and stressful! The owner at A Plus (Rob) said, Dont worry, we will figure it out. I had heard that before. They ended up keeping my car overnight and gave me a car to drive in the meantime, even bringing the loaner to me at work.Turns out, they did figure out the problem. I cant tell you what a relief this is for me. I really thought it was a lost cause. Rob called me a few days later just to check on me and make sure everything was good. I mean, who does that these days. These folks at A Plus are a perfect example of how business should be done. They really do care about their customers and dont just say it. Just an outstanding business that I highly recommend. They care, they are honest and they are really good! Dont take your vehicle anywhere else!

Comment: These guys do great work! I got a leak in one of my transmission cooler lines and called A plus for help. They had a tow truck out to get me in less than an hour and got it looked at that afternoon. They replaced the lines and flushed the trans early the next day for me to pick up. I noticed some leak spots that evening under the area they worked and called them the next morning to check it out. They were very happy to check it out and make sure nothing was wrong, and turned out to be residual fluid from when it first leaked out. They cleaned up the area and havent had any further signs of leaks or drips. I would definitely recommend this shop if youre looking for a good auto repair shop. Edit to my review: I brought another vehicle of mine here recently, suffering from some electrical problems. the guys here went above and beyond what I would expect most shops would do to fix the issue. They are very professional and gave me daily updates until it was fixed. Excellent service and pricing in my experiences.

Comment: Transmission issues are never welcome no matter what time of the year! Once mine started to act up I filtered out all my options and decided on a rebuild! I received a quote from a recommend shop in Brighton that quoted me an outrageous price so I decided to give A Plus a try.The guys at A Plus where outstanding! They did not jump to conclusions or push one standard option, they worked through the process one step at the time to determine what was necessary to remedy my transmission issues. I really appreciate this approach to detail. The cost I was quoted was not exceeded.All I can say is that I’m grateful to have found this shop. Comment: We moved from KY a year and a half ago. Not knowing where to take our son’s older minivan, we had repairs done at a place that caused major problems. We then took the van to A Plus Transmission and got a refurbished transmission. The van has never run better. On Black Friday, they replaced some hard to reach parking lights. We are so happy to have found this reliable and reasonably priced repair shop after our previous experience. Comment: A-Plus is the rare breed of auto repair company . . . an honest one with a conscience. I was told by my auto dealer that I needed new brakes, so I shopped around for a good price and took my F150 in to A-Plus for a brake job. About an hour later I got a call from A-Plus telling me that they could not in good conscience do the brake job as I had nearly half the life left on the pads. A-Plus is now my car repair destination.

They always have access to a ride if I need one. They also have access to deals for rental cars if needed as well. They are very helpful, competent, and understanding. Comment: This was the first auto shop I have used in 10 yrs and I can not praise them enough. When o had a transmission issue 5 other shops I called automatically said I needed a new transmission but a plus said that might not be the case. They were right and saved me at least $2k. A solenoid pack replacement was all I needed and though I had an issue after I picked it up, Alex worked with me to figure out what the problem was and took care of it. I can not thank you enough and I will definitely use you guys in the future!

My friend had told me A Plus Transmission and Auto Repair was a great place to take your car with any kind of problem.Years ago, I took our Yukon XL there for some transmission work.
